Back to MCR's Teenagers and Famous Last Words. Fuse Network had an MCR Loaded episode bookended by d'FUSE'd episodes on the making of the videos for those two songs.

Sorry, if I offended any MCR fans last night, but I really don't care for them. But there are more tactful (and less drunk!) ways to criticize them. I know lots of folks like them, but I feel they're soaking up way too much radio play time.
So...do any MCR fans here feel they're not emo...or acknowledge they are, but feel emo's not necessarily bad?

Operator Please : Just a song about ping pong. OWNS. Look for it...Myspace maybe?
Remember : It's not technically a suckerpunch if you yell ''DEFEND YOURSELF SPROCKER!'' two seconds before you let him have it.

Bright Eyes - I'm getting into all his indie rock stuff. I've enjoyed his techno albumn- Digital Ash in a Digital Urn - and I've been really getting into the alt-country stuff.
Just spouting off.

Man, Timberland's 'The Way I R' is probably the best driving song of 2007! I've been kickin' to that tune for weeks. The man can do no wrong anymore!

Just found this live clip of Audioslave covering The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army while I was favoriting Audioslave clips to my YouTube account... the singing and drums totally kick butt over the original.

I'm not a huge country music fan, but Luke Bryan's All My Friends Say cracks me up... one o' those sing-along drinkin' songs-- Second verse and chorus: I found my billfold I cried "oh, no no" Good time Charlie got me, now I'm broke
But it was worth acting like a fool Yeah girl I must have really showed you
Cause all my friends say I started shooting doubles when you walked in All my friends say I went a little crazy seeing you with him
You know I don't remember a thing But they say I sure was raising some cain I was a rock star, party hard, Gett'n-over-you comeback kid
Yeah I must have did
What all my friends say Yeah, Yeah, Yeah I'm grinning and can't get it outta my head...

Amen to that. I'd love to hear Chris's version. And really? Improved vocals and drumming over the White Stripes? Hard to imagine...

Actually found a MP3 version. Pretty good if a little heavier than the original. Of course, 7NA is one of the few Stripes songs I can listen to repeatedly.

My current favorite song is the duet of Lisa Marie singing with Elvis to 'In The Ghetto' released on the anniversary marking 30 years since his passing. The proceeds are all going to the Elvis charity established for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Lisa Marie looks very much like 'young Elvis.' She is a beautiful woman, a grandmother herself already (and still so hot!) and she has always had those soulful, deepset haunted eyes. I heard an interview with her agent saying that it hit Lisa Marie very hard when she was in the studio and working to mesh her part with her father's. She was too emotional even to record for the first couple days because she felt his presence so strongly. I thought that was beautiful. I'm so grateful she chose to pursue this project as a tribute to her father, and to help the victims still struggling almost two years after Katrina.

I doubt that her version could eclipse Cartman's....
