DEATH OF DEATH was a story you downloaded for a price on his site, so i dont know if anyone has a copy or even kept it after they read it, but i got my fingers crossed.
i read home delivery by stephen king, not much of a zombie story but its ok for a short story.

Stu and OM, glad to hear that you guys like Them! It really is a classic, and pretty much stands as an example of 50's science fiction at it's best IMO. I've never seen the Mantis though, and want to check it out.

I can remember being terrified of the last fifteen minutes of Them since I was about five years old. smile

my favourite horror film is the original Halloween !!! it's just a great suspense movie !!! i remember the first time i saw it at a friends birthday party [ we were ONLY 10 years of age !!! his parents must have been a bit mad for renting it !!!??? confused ]

but it had a massive impact on me !!! i was scared for about a month after it ....

the following sequels were okay, i liked H2 [ because Jamie Lee is in it again !!! ]

i don't understand why the 3rd one was EVER called a HALLOWEEN film !!!??? confused why ....

and i really liked Halloween H20 !!! actually, i've just finished watching it tonight !!! i liked all the little "in-jokes" and of course the return of Jamie Lee !!! and the lovely love Josh Harnett love

I'm pretty sure I have, I'm more of a fan of the non-giant ant films. Like the one where all the ants become super intelligent and trap a group of people in a lab in the desert. The ending is quite odd. The basically keep 2 humans alive sort of like pets.

Agreed Matthew. I like all the Halloweens, except for the third one and I really didn't care for the last one either.

I LOVED Halloween 4 though. I actually thought it was as good as the first 2. 5 and 6 were kinda cheesy...

I was VERY PISSED when h20 came out and they ignored all the previous movies...

THE MUMMY'S HAND (not a sequel!)
Technically it is a sequel, albeit not a direct sequel. The original Boris Karloff film with Imhotep was a one off; during the original 30s cycle no one tried to follow-up on Karl Freund's masterpiece, but by the time the second Universal cycle was ramping up in 1940 they looked back to The Mummy for inspiration and created a completely new plot.

However its hard to say that The Mummy's Hand isn't a sequel in some sense - it even reuses footage from the original film, albeing intercutting close-up shots of Tom Tyler in the stead of the same shots of Karloff!

[Incidently the first Hammer film version of a mummy story, The Mummy, with Cushing and Lee ,is really a remake of the Kharis cycle - which started with The Mummy's Hand - more than it is a remake of the Karloff film.]

I like the Tremors series.

Fright Night 2 was much more fun that fright night one I thought.

House 1 and 2 were okay, but 3 was so bad I don't think they released it, and four William Katts character was dead I think.

Critters 1 and 2 were great.

Oh God where do I begin. Let's see...

Sleepaway Camp, Night of the Demons, Terror Train, Black Christmas, the original Prom Night movies (preferably the second and fourth), Scarecrows, Halloween and the sequels involving his niece, fourth and fifth Nightmare film, Friday the 13th Part VIII, and so many others I can't begin to list.

*sentence above is an obvious riff on your name, lol. Still, go ahead and list, I might get some good ones to have a date night with my wife from it.

Sleepaway Camp 1-3
Fear of the Dark

Candyman 2: Farewell to the Flesh
Tales from the Hood
Innocent Blood
Curse of the Living Corpse
Haunted Honeymoon
Xtro II: The Second Encounter
The Initiation

The People Across the Lake (I've kept this on my DVR for 5 years)

Dracula: Dead and Loving It
Two Thousand Maniacs!
Vault of Horror
Night Gallery
Killers in the House (not so much horror, more of a thriller)

The House by the Cemetery
Godzilla Vs Biollante
Grim Prairie Tales

The House That Dripped Blood

The Hellraiser movies are definitely top of my list,
I have dressed as 'The Engineer' several times for Halloween in the past. Plan on going again in the future. I know most of his lines and watched all the movies (even the last few which are dreadful) at least 20 times each (my favorite of the series Hellraiser 2 I must have watched at least 50 times).

Other horror series and movies I love include -
Halloween (even the rob zombie remake)
Friday the 13th
Nightmare on Elm Street
Puppetmasters
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Children of the Corn
Saw
Last house on the Left
The Blob
All the classic Karloff, Chaney and Lugosi films
so much more, I'd actually have to look at my collection to see what I have, there are just so many.

Extra added bonus, Corrinne loves horror as well so I get to watch lots smile

edit -
Thanks for bumping this up Rick, its an awesome thread. I've seen almost every movie listed here (Tremors is a fav of mine too) but some I haven't thought about in years.

Wow no one's mentioned Basket Case series nor the two Re-animator movies.

loved the first Basket Case movie as well as the first Re-Animator film, the following sequals to both films weren't as good IMO.

Has anyone ever seen a movie called Student Bodies? It's pretty much the first slasher spoof they did.

That movie sounds familiar, but I don't think I caught that.

I have an odd fondness for some of the off the wall stuff.

Specifically, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
