I went out and bought 'At Last' by Cyndi Lauper yesterday (great album by the way). Anyway, the point is most of the songs I know really well already and have other artists doing them. Only there's 'At Last' on there too and I *know* I know it, and I'm pretty sure I have someone doing a version of it somewhere but I can't work out who it is. It's not Etta James, it's certainly not bloody Celine Dion but I can't think who it is. I'm sure it's a woman and it's bugging the hell out of me. Does anyone else know who has covered it? Oh won't someone please help....

oooh ooh ooh, the version that I have stuck in my head is Eva Cassidy! Yay! I just checked the Cd and that's the one. Gosh, I feel much better now. Quis, between Chris and myself we have so many bloody CDs that it'd take me ages to find what I was looking for (plus I wasn't even certain it was a recording I actually own) but I knew if I asked here then chances are someone would be able to find the answer for me. And I was right! Yay! Thanks guys, you have put a niggling brain thingy to rest.

Norah Jones hardly "covers" it. Her voice is very attractive but very thin -- hardly enough to get a thin resonant blanket on top of that song, let alone an intricately woven bedspread.
