Hmm... not exactly the characters who are really in need of face time...

Thanks Pov... my faith in comic book "guys" has been restored. I knew I couldn't be the first to think of that, I just knew it.
As for a name... how 'bout eGAD. Since we did find out about it online, the "e" seems appropriate, and I'm sure you can figure the rest out. Kinda has the same ring as DAG, but puts the writer first. After all, it is her story.

Hey - just noticed Dan Jurgens has been posting over @ the Comicboards.com Thor board. Anyone want to invite him over?

Gail Yay, Umbra! I can never get enough of her. I grit my teeth when I read that Gail's favorite character was Karate Kid (he's my least favorite), but now I have something to look forward to. I'm not too fond of Jo and Tinya these days either, but maybe Gail will do something to move their relationship out of "dangling subplot" territory. I can hope, anyway. So, when are going to see some sample pages, Gail?

Okay, while I will accept eGAD as the official name for this creative team, I think we need a better expanation of what the "e" means.

I'll try to list a couple reasons for the "e" in eGAD since I threw it out there, but I could probably use a little help here...
"e" could be short for a title, something like the Erstwhile Gail Andy & Dan. (other "e" choices: Enthusiastic, Excellent, Earnest, etc.)
It could be there just to be there. No reason given, sort of a salute to dangling plot threads Everywhere.
Maybe Gail is Gail's middle name and her first name starts with E?
The no-nonsense approach, the "e" is what it is... a simple device to turn the acronym GAD into the surprise superlative EGAD in an attempt to not only name the creators but to define our upcoming satisfaction with the great Legion story they are about to give us.
Of course, if the arc "bites", which I'm sure it won't, but if it does tank, we can always go back to DAG or DAnG.

Appartion and Ultra Boy?
Maybe Gail will deal with the stupidity that is Cub, once and for all and let the Legion continue without any underaged brats for awhile. *crosses fingers*

Val, Tinya and Tasmia are among my faves, too. And I love the upcoming creative team! The only thing missing is Zoe's return to normal. (blatant hinting, here! )

I wouldn't say any of the characters are faves but I won't mind if the story's good.
Jurgens on pencils sounds quite promising.

Didn't Jurgens do some stuff in Tales back in the day? I like his stuff. Nothing to blow your mind away or anything, bit solid and dependable.

Can't say I find any favor with the chosen characters (except for U-Boy, don't they normally poll near the bottom?) but maybe cub wil DIE CUB DIE! or some such trauma that we can all shed crocadile tears?
Or at least turned back into a cute baby good for some lightheartedness on occasion. We had alot of fun with the phasing baby, however he can only use his powers of pooping, peeing, crying, or eating one at a time.

Thanks Gail!
Love Karate Kid and Umbra! And Ultra Boy and Apparition are in desperate need of a good writer so I can't wait to see what you do with them too.
Good luck!

I love that arc, Grey! I'm really looking forward to this, I only wish it was a twelve issue run! I've enjoyed everything I've read that Gail has written so far, and BoP is one of the best titles on the market right now. I love Jurgens art too, he's my favorite Superman artist of the 90's by far--I consider his and Breeding's run to be one of the prettiest. I agree that his writing is hit and miss, but his art is gorgeous and no matter what he does, you can tell he has a real love for the characters. Great pic Gary of KK in Universe Ablaze. And Andy Smith is a good artist too! Oh, and hopefully this will put the Cub business to an end. I was half expecting it to be Highfather by now anyway

Y'know, I kinda like the idea of Argent as a Legionnaire. Maybe the next trip to the 20th Century could include a membership drive?

Hmm, Jurgens drew that? I'm not so sure I like that all the guys are so buff (even Brainy!)... but it's still a nice group shot.

That piece was for sale at one time at The Artist\'s Choice but it was way out of my price range. All of the pages that Spencer has of Universe Ablaze come with the accompanying color guide. There are some moderately priced ones left but nothing that interests me.
