Sure the art is pretty, but how daffy will the price get with 4 days to go? Currently $4,050.

I have ceased to be amazed at the levels that Adam Hughes' art prices reach. Several months ago a Scarlet Witch piece went for $10K

On another note - spotted this poster on ebay today. It's not from my favorite era of the Legion but it was a nice poster that I haven't seen in a while.

100 dollars?!?!? no way...it should be 4 dollars at least. 100 is a major rip off.

You know Iwould love to have thoses posters but not at thoses prices. Added together I reckon it would go a good way towards getting me a 267 or 247.

Ah, but just think what it will be worth in 3008. Your great great great etc. grandchildren will thank you!

With the anniversary next year, I wonder if Legion material prices in general are going to inflate. Or if people will try to boost the prices.

those look like the feebie posters that all retailers would get week-in, week-out.

The only thing daffy about this one is the price, although it is respectable, just too high for me. Great adaption of the cover to X-Men #141 by Bob Layton. Thanks to Michael at the Omnicom for finding this one.

The Overstreet price guide has a history of erroneous listings for various "try-out" first appearances, particularly early SA Marvels. Sounds like this seller is trying to capitalize on something like that. The fact that he offers books graded by PGX and lists himself as an Overstreet advisor... pffft. Don't sweat the hype, Art. wink

By the way, in that Legion Checklist, all the links that point to online versions of the stories that were from the superman.ws site are now bad. That domain got moved to supermanthrutheages.com several months ago, but now, even that site has been shut down, apparently permanently (see DC message boards ).

Actually, I don't find the auction listing itself "daffy", Scooter. It is the best page of art from that issue... (Ditko interior work... lol shake

IMO, the sheer fact that it's Mayavale classifies it as daffy. But then you know how I feel about those kind of characters. wink
