All Summer ABC has been running a web-based game called The Lost Experience. As you played you were presented with little video pieces, 70 in total, that give, supposedly, background on the Dharma Initiative and the Hanso Foundation. But the most important secret revealed was the secret of Hurley's numbers. <span class="spoiler_containter"><span class="spoiler_wording">4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42</span><span class="spoiler_text">The numbers represent the Valenzetti Equation, a mathematical formula having to do with the timetable for humanity's extinction. The show's sinister Dharma Initiative was an effort by the mysterious Hanso Foundation to ward off that inevitability. When Dharma failed, Hanso's nefarious acting leader, Thomas Mittelwerk, set in motion a plan to release a virus that would kill 30 percent of the world's population.</span></span> Someone on YouTube (the web's latest Bread and Circuses) has pieced the videos together. have these videos been shown on the actual show [ we still have about 3 episodes left of season 2 ]

i've been having more thoughts about the reveal on the numbers !! if these videos haven't appeared on the show, and only on the website, there probably something that most LOST fans, won't have seen !!
do you think they could be a hoax !!??
it just seems like such a BIG reveal, to not show this info on the show !!?? [ unless it's still to be shown ....... ]

Matthew, the clips are not from the show but from a game that was conducted over the internet this summer. We have yet to see if this will be cannon for the actual show.

i like Lost but,
that is not actually an "equation".
so i hope the videos are a hoax.
