It kicked ass.

The first Iron Man and Spider-Man movies still count as my top two superhero movies of all time, but Iron Man 2 may have captured the #3 place!

Scarlet Johanssen makes an incredible Black Widow.

After a bazillion years worth of credits, you get to see a hint of the upcoming Thor movie as well.

i loved it all the little things that made me SOOO happy. my favorite part when Happy, pepper, and Tony are all yelling at one another in the car, the only thing i didn't like was Click Here For A Spoilerwas when tony and pepper hooked at the end

Hmmm. Okay.

Now, this is colored by having a four year along (He wanted to see the new Iron Man, I said "sure".)

Not a lot of Iron Man in Iron Man 2 it seemed like. Basically, we have the beginning, a little with Rhodey stealing the suit, and the end.

Whole lotta navel gazing by tony. Whole lotta grimacing and deeply felt grunts by Rourke as Blacklash (Backlash, what was the official name for the movie?). Scarlet Johanson is pretty, sure, but served very little purpose in the movie. You could have lifted her out, shifted agent Carlson over, and never really missed her. Pretty...yes. Red Headed....yes. Intergral...no.

The model. First, lemme say that I think scale model's are the shitz. Really. I love those things because someone took time and meticulous care and attention to detail to make them. That said, the first glimpse of the model told me that it was the "secret" to the movie, and I hadn't even gotten to the part where tony's dad was rewritten to be a good guy rather than the abusive ass he was in the books. They did get me on one aspect of it. I figured it to be a disguised circuit board instead of a new "element".

Sorry guys, but it seems like they substitued a lot of things blowing up for actual story and characterization, a mistake they did not make in the first movie.

Pretty movie with pretty people, but only rates a "C" from me. Sam can sit enthralled with the first movie, even through the non-armor stuff. He was crawling the seats in the theatre on this. And if a shiny red and gold suit of armor cannot keep my transformer/pokemon/bakugan/justice league/superman/batman/wonder woman/spider-man/johnny test lovin kid in his seat...well...

Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

Something pithy!

Somewhat entertaining movie but such a weak, weak ending ... plus I didn't buy Don Cheadle as War Machine at all ... Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johanson were so cartoony they might as well have been CGI ... Robert Downey jr. was still fun to watch though ...

Finally saw it. Not a good movie. I was pretty disappointed. Sam Rockwell might've been the best thing here. He's actually somewhat restrained considering his previous performances (or maybe it just seemed that way next to Robert Downey Jr.)

This movie seemed to suffer from sequelitis - cramming in a whole lot of stuff, giving short-shrift to all of it, leaving a bunch of stuff happening around a plot devoid of story. The movie really just seemed a series of mini arcs that were introduced, expounded on in one or two scenes, then conveniently resolved.

I think the Black Widow had a larger part that got cut down from what glimpses I've seen of scenes that weren't in the movie. It only reinforces my notion that Johanssen is a monumentally overrated performer. (and not as hot as everyone seems to think, imho) And did anyone notice what those things were on her wrists? They obviously weren't stingers - did she keep those electro-disks in them or something?

And can someone tell me why Rhodey was able to steal a suit with its *own* independent power source?? I thought the suits were powered by the reactor in Tony's chest.
