Level 21! Ack!

Well, the good news is that I got Prism up to 2100 debt from 3500. Maybe someday he'll be able to

Unfortunately, after that I signed on with Mr Brazil and nearly doubled his 2000 debt. Sigh. Anyone want to play with a MA scrapper on Triumph later in the week? He's been stuck at level 13 forever. Maybe I should admit that a MA scrapper is just isn't for me.

I really like Talos now that Blue has gotten
a few more levels under his belt, Vee, but I
would definitely hesitate to go in there by
myself if I were only a level 21. There are
some lower level baddies you can fight there--
level 20 is the lowest I've seen-- but you have
to be really careful because there are tons of
sorcerers and green and yellow ink men.

Your best bet is simply to use Steel Canyon
tactics: pick them off while hovering.

In terms of the Skyraiders, I haven't faced
them a lot, but they're very nasty. Think of
them as flying 5th Column with a TPer and you're
not far wrong. They have force field units that
you have to make sure to take out ASAP because
it's harder to take them down otherwise ...

You might want to see about joining some Dark
Astoria hunting groups, Vee to get a few more
levels on Condo ...

I have a couple of lower level characters I
could play on Triumph with you, Prism. I've got
a level 10 fire controller with empathy as a
secondary. AlmightyGremlyn has everything up
through rez as empathy, so she could help keep
you alive. 8-)

Blue Battlette is a level 10 blaster.

Red Bee is a level 12 energy blaster with
electrical a secondary. I haven't played him
much at all lately.

Anyone else got any Triumph characters they'd
like to play? Maybe we could do a Triumph night
sometime. That was my first server... 8-)

I wouldnt mind a triumph night some time. I have a lvl 11 earth controller that has some pretty cool abilities, but is impossible to solo. Later this week sounds good.

So what are we thinking about now?

Thursday?

Friday?

And before we log on we should post who we intend
to play so we can find each other.

Why is it any server I want to play on, it is the only one that goes all the way off line? All night, no problems and the second and I mean THE SECOND I get Snake to hit 13, "Mapserver Disconnect". And the goddamned server is gone. If I don't get to keep my level I don't know what. It isn't right or fair for them to be doing maintenance (which is what I heard others saying prior) to that server to not give us an announcement so we can prepare. They've done it in the past, I've seen it.

Guys, I ran Blue for a bit after I worked out
tonight, and I was in Peregine Island when
there was a giant monster attack! I swear
these things were Kong-sized!

I took some screenshots of them ... I didn't
get too close because they were level 50 ...
but would you like to see them?

Hey, buddy.

Truthfully, I don't think the developers care
about what's right. I really get the feeling
that they're spoiled brats in a lot of ways.
That's why I fully expect the Taxibots to cause
a nerf in TP ...

I'd like to see them. Do you know if they are part of a new storyline or just something you haven't encountered before?

They were "Monster" Class. Is that new? And they
were devouring Earth baddies ... I think they
come from Eden and were an ambush that got out of
hand ...can you imagine the havoc if that had
happened in Atlas Park?!

I'll post them tomorrow if I get time, or later
if I don't.

Big red stalk type things? I almost ran into some while Mysa was flying close to the ground in Steel near Blyde . They came running out of a side street. I didn't wait around to see what lvl they were since I didn't want another thorn in Mysa's back like th other night with the devouring earth we ran into.

I've seen different varities of Devouring Earth a number of times, mostly in KR. In fact when we were playing in Steel the other night we were passed by a bunch of them but you guys didn't see them.

Was it Virtue or Infinity we saw a bunch of
level 30 Devouring Earth running down the
street in Steel? I think it was Virtue, the
night the guys were getting their new costumes...

Anyway, here's one of the pictures I snapped
last night. I'll thumbnail it to keep it from
being too big.

It doesn't show it as well as I would like, but
it gives you a general idea. Some heroes are
standing next to them, and there are buildings
behind them to give you a sense of scale. It
was really neat watching them move ...

Ooooh, very cool!

After a failed attempt with Mysa and Pete, Shadow Lad went back with Mysa and finished the cape mission. Man, that thing can be hard!!! I really racked up some debt. But it was worth it.

Unfortunately, I can't show you picutres right now. Since I made the switch to the PC, my hubby hasn't installed the FTP client software to upload pics to our web site, so you'll have to see me in my grand debut tonight (if I ever get to leave work).

Hey but it was fun. After we started sniping & hover it seemed to get much better. I'm more convinced than ever (now that I've done the mish 4 times ~ twice with Condo & twice with Mysa) that the key to the cape mission is being very patient and planning out every move before you do anything. It's tough anyway you look at it but it is doable if you're careful.

Can't wait to see Grev in his cape! laugh

PS: Maybe Mysa will start a cape mission assistance business (similar to the taxibots) Talk about Heroes for Hire! laugh

I certainly did! Don't you remember I got shot through the back with one of their huge thorn thingies and died instantly? shake

I don't know if we should attempt it now without
Doc or just work on getting more of us up to the
higher levels for the TF.

Ideally, I think that Doc should be on one TF
and Mysa on the other. Grev and Prism should
also be on separate teams. The team that has
Grev will have another rez, but the team that
has Prism will also have AM and group
invisibility. Also, Prism is getting close to
the point to where he could take mutate which
is another kind of rez. If he did that, we
could have two rezers on each TF team.

Pete and I should be on separate teams as well.
Right now, I'm leaning towards the idea of having
Garth be on a separate team from Grev because--
if Condo doesn't play-- they are the only two of
our team with snipe.

As for Tas, I'm not sure. I think that tactically
she should be on the team that doesn't have a
dedicated blaster to help offset the resulting
damage reduction that team will face ... but as
our only blaster under this scenario is Garth, I
don't think that it's really fair to not let
Caroline and Scott play on the same team.

Seymour, does Mike have a comparable level
blaster that you could sweettalk him into
playing with us on the TF?

Vee could always play Condo on one TF and
Mysa on the other, but unless he develops a
split personality there's no way that we could
run both TFs at the same time then. 8-)

Just my two cents.
There is something to be said for doing them at different times. Both Condo and Mysa could contribute to different groups and it's much easier to find a convenient time for 4 people instead of 8-9.

If we decide to do them all at the same time, I think you've got us split up about as well as possible. I definitely do agree that we should not attempt it as one big group. However, I think we are ready to take it on, even if we need to SK one or two.

Just got this e-mail from Mike. We might want to wait before exemplaring down to redo Positron for the badge:

I've been hearing a lot about this one...
Just for others to know:

Right now there is a bug with exemplar TFs... If the lower level individual in an 'Exemplar relationship' goes LD for any reason - the higher level individual will be kicked from the TF and will not be allowed to rejoin.

Also -- any ambushes that occur during the TF are tuned to the highest-level individual's ACTUAL level, rather than their exemplared level -- obviously this has its problems.

And, Blue, I was about to say Mike could exemplar his blaster down once the bug is fixed, but then I remembered that he doesn't have any characters on Virtue that could do the TF. His characters are on Victory. frown Maybe once you can SK into a higher-level TF, we could get him to play Chillflare again, but I don't want to spend the time levelling him when Princess P still needs her cape.

Seymour what level is Saturn Lady these days? She would be useful as well if she's high enough.

Okay ...

Since Grev got his cape already, what are we
going to do tonight? Which server do we want
to play on?

Andrew has hit 19, so I'd be happy to work on
getting him to 20. On the other hand, Star will
get mutate at 16, so the sooner I get him there
the happier I'll be ... and the better it'll be
for our eventual Infinity TFs.

And what night do we want to pull Triumph duty
on?

Right now I'm leaning towards either AlmightyGremlyn or Blue Battlette, depending
on who else is playing and what they bring to
the group.

Terra's Fury is the name of my earth controller on triumph. I'll pop in tonight and see if anyone else is on.

Either Thurs of Fri works for me for Triumph. My highest char is Junior Marvel who is currently a lvl 7 so I would be bringing him. He's an energy blaster like Condo.

Are we going to try to level everyone up on Virtue tonight so we can run the Synapse TF? or do we want to start it? or would everyone rather go on Infinity or Protector (we haven't been there in ages!)

If we play Infinity I'll probably play Snake. When I finally got back on last night he did still have his level so he's now at 13. If we play Legion I may bring Cadet Bannin instead who is at 8.

For Triumph, what level are we looking for? I've got Zoic, earth controller, level 6. Vlad Dracul, magic controller, also a 6. Or either Slade Wilson., level 9 natural scrapper or Mac MacLeod, level 8 natural scrapper.

Protector could be fun. That's where our Gilligan's Island characters are. Roy Hinkley is at level 5, mutation tanker. Sun Boy is still at 6 there. Charma, who I've only played once, is still at 3. And I created a natural defender the other day based on a character from the Incredibles. Frozone is level 5.
