As you know, she can usually keep one person alive with no problem. Pete came close to dying a number of times and did die at least once. By the time Shadow Lad joined us however, the heals were having a much greater impact on Pete. Good thing too! It took everything Grev & Mysa had to keep Pete alive while we took out Dr. Vahz. Well, I did it a long tiem ago, gamewise. And in my mish I wasn't facing Dr. Vahz at the end, but rather Patient Zero. My contact said there was even evidence that Dr. Vahz was trying to find a cure for it himself, so it's hard to say if the mish was tweaked or this was a different one. Did you check for a souvenir for Pete? I got a hypo when it was all said and done.

Been reading the forums, and they've already nerfed the glowy bug that Caroline told us about.
If they spent half the time making the game fun that they spend on nerfing stuff...

Grem got herocrack on the 'puter she's using now and she's going to join Star Kallor on Infinity in just a few minutes.
Feel free to join us. 8-)

Hey, guys. Seymour and I got a chance to play as Grev and Pete for a bit this afternoon on Virtue. And Pete made it to level 20!!!! Thanks for the help, Shadow Lad! Blue, whenever Andrew's ready, I'd love to do the new costume mission. Grev should be ready any time now (not sure if he wanted a new costume, though) and he was on one today so maybe he could help us. Then of course, there's Mysa who could always contribute!
I think our Virtue squad is about ready to take on the Synapse TF also. Whenever you guys want to start that would be great. We had talked about splitting into two groups. Any ideas or suggestions how to do that? Doc nimbus is gone for a couple of weeks. And I haven't seen Prism Lord on in quite awhile.

Andrew won't be able to get a new costume until after he hits 20 and I'm just at 18 now, so it'll be a bit for me, I think unless we can get him leveled. I can help you get your new cosutme for Pete if you like. If it's like Blue's, it'll just be killing a certain number of Tsoo. Vee and I got Star and Beauty up to 14 tonight and picked up flight. Can't wait to get to 16 so I have mutate ... 8-)

I think that two small groups is the only way to do Synapse. Positron killed us because we had too many baddies show up ...
I don't know if we should attempt it now without Doc or just work on getting more of us up to the higher levels for the TF.
Ideally, I think that Doc should be on one TF and Mysa on the other. Grev and Prism should also be on separate teams. The team that has Grev will have another rez, but the team that has Prism will also have AM and group invisibility. Also, Prism is getting close to the point to where he could take mutate which is another kind of rez. If he did that, we could have two rezers on each TF team.
Pete and I should be on separate teams as well. Right now, I'm leaning towards the idea of having Garth be on a separate team from Grev because-- if Condo doesn't play-- they are the only two of our team with snipe.
As for Tas, I'm not sure. I think that tactically she should be on the team that doesn't have a dedicated blaster to help offset the resulting damage reduction that team will face ... but as our only blaster under this scenario is Garth, I don't think that it's really fair to not let Caroline and Scott play on the same team.
Seymour, does Mike have a comparable level blaster that you could sweettalk him into playing with us on the TF?
Vee could always play Condo on one TF and Mysa on the other, but unless he develops a split personality there's no way that we could run both TFs at the same time then. 8-)
Just my two cents.

While I'm in a TF state of mind....
I have been thinking about the Positron TF for Infinity. I don't think that it's going to be all that easy for us and is going to require a change in tactics from what we normally do in mishs and on the street.
I haven't ran Star against the Vahz in a while-- except for a brief bit when we fought them last night-- but from that and what I remember from before, I don't think that Star's lockdowns are going to do us a lot of good against the Vahz zombies. They seem to be resistant to group holds ... the Eids and Morts and Reapers seem to be lockable, but I don't think we can count on the zombies themselves being that easy to take down.
On the plus side, Star did okay against the COTS last night ...
So who would want to try Positron on Infinity anyway?

Could someone on Infinity PLEASE get TP before we attempt the Positron TF?
Poor Star is getting tired of running all the way back into mish when I get a Lost Server. 8-)

I went ahead and did the cape mish for Blue. I wasn't going to do it for him until I hit level 30 and got him a non- armored costume, but I was on with Blue's SG and one of my teammates told me that the mish was really good XP and he was a healer, so I went ahead and did it as I figured that I could always go ahead and get the cape for Blue later, and the mish would definitely be easier under 30 than it would be after 30. Vee, I don't know how Condo was able to do the mish by himself. I went in with a healer who was one level lower than me at first, and we were almost killed at the opening gate. We were facing mutated Lost that were definitely a magnitude of toughness higher than I'd been used to dealing with. Another SG member who's a level 40 mind/empathy controller joined us, and we were kicking nass in a major way, but we ran out of time because the baddies were able to get through the time capsule. Grem did it for herself with one group and got it in one try, but the next time she tried they took over 5 times to do it. So I guess that we should do that mish ASAP guys after we hit 20, and we shouldn't have too many on the team when we try. Anyway, we got it on the second try, but after all that effort I went ahead and got Blue a cape now. I think he looks pretty good in it. I was going to put circuitry on his cape, but I thought it made Blue look like he was wearing a blueprint-- heh!-- or a science geek's beachtowel, so I decided that Blue would wear a cape that would honor his best friend, so... I added lightning. 8-)

Infinity is up. Vee and I both checked on that. We might want to come up with a plan that we all switch to Infinity or Protector if Virtue goes down... that way we can at least plan things out.

The cat's out of the bag! The new game aspect in update three is... SKILLS! From the new Computer Gaming World.. Skills are City of Heroes' answer to the ubiquitous MMO crafting system - except they're totally different. Characters will be able to specialize in one of four different skill trees: Detective, Science, Communication, and Scholarship. They can further specialize in various areas of expertise, such as Forensics or Security for the Detective tree. Skills are level-independent and wholly optional; your character will be able to interact with myriad objects during the game, at which point he, (Ed. note: or she ), can attempt a series of skill checks. Success brings new objectives or perhaps some extra experience. For example, succeeding at a Security check in a bomb infested building might reveal the explosives on the mission map.
Skills are learned and improved by studying at universities throughout Paragon City. You'll earn temporary, expendable skill boosts during missions; these are somewhat similar to inspirations but can also be converted into wisdom, which is used to add permanent skill boosts at the aformentioned universities. As with enhancements, you'll find generic skill improvements as well as stronger, more focused upgrades alon the lines of dual- and single- origin enhancements. The only skill you'll need now, though, is the patience to hold out for all this good stuff. Definately sounds interesting. Hopefully this will give us some more interesting missions, too. I wonder if they'll eventually make additions there... scientist seems a bit broad, does that refer to a gadget guy or a forensics technician?

More interesting teasers... Expansion 3 introduces an Epic Archetype -- the alien Kheldians. In order to play one of these energy beings a player must first attain level 50 with a single character. After that, he can make as many Kheldians as he'd like. The goal with these Epic Archetypes is not simply to provide a new Archetype, but also to immerse the player in the game's rich mythology. As players will see, the Kheldians are deeply intertwined with the history and villain groups of Paragon City. In following expansions, we hope to continue opening up more of these Epic Archetypes... In addition to the Epic Archetype mentioned earlier, we're adding a brand new villain group, as well as a new zone. Naturally, this means there will be new missions galore. We're also hoping to get a new chat system in this update, as well as several other quality of life issues. And players will also get their long awaited mission difficulty slider. Perhaps most importantly, we're moving the storyline of the game ahead; players can take part in a world changing event whose consequences will reverberate for years to come. Hmmm, it'll take a lot to convince me the last part isn't hyperbole. Still I know Stateman wants the game to react to what happens, like wanting villain spawns to be influenced by which missions players accept.

I'm finally on now... tho I expect everyone's asleep. (Had my first HOA meeting, sigh... got a followup tomorrow.) I'm playing Prism on Virtue trying to bring down my 3K debt.
BTW, for Infi, I think the plan for Brainy was to pick up another blast power at 12 then teleport at 14... so he'll be one teleporter for the TF.

Well Condo has now attained level 21 but even more exciting (for me anyway) he got his first Freakshow arrest!!! It appears that all of my contacts have suddenly decided they have no more missions for me (other than two timed missions I waiting to do until someone else can join me on them) All of them have also passed me along to new contacs in Talos Island and Independence Port. Guess I'm goiing to have to learn the ropes there REAL fast! Both those places look pretty scary to a lvl 21!! I warily ventured into Talos (it seems to have the lower levels from what I can gather) to meet a few new contacts and spotted a lvl 21 Freakshow down the street from one of them. Figured "what the hell" and managed to quickly take him out before he knew what hit him. As I was basking in the glow of my victory, reality reared it's ugly head though. Four level 24 Warriors came running around the corner and attacked me! Fortunately, all were minions and I reacted fast enough to get into the air before they killed me. I then scurried back to the Skyway City gate with my tail between my legs! One of those contacts gave me a "defeat 30(?)Tsoo" mish in Talos. Another gave me a Sky Raiders door mission in KR. (Oh joy! ) I have a feeling that Condo's going to be deep in debt very quickly. Any information on Sky Raiders would be greatly apreciated!

I'm really trying to get Garth up high enough to join you guys but all I managed to do yesterday was log in as Snake and clear up his debt. Really loving his sniper rifle and can't wait to hit 13 and load two more damages to it. If I can get Garth up to at least 17 he'll gladly try to help Condo out. As for the Sky Raiders I'm sure Blue should have some info. He's hung around those higher places (Talos and IP) a lot. I've only ever seen Talos once and been on a couple of SK missions to IP. I can understand how you feel about going it alone there.
