Lightning has always been the red-headed stepchild of the blasters, the bottom of the tier. But now its even worse. My miss percentage has spiked way up and I'm doing less damage to villains 2 levels lower than I am than before the patch. Like you all, I don't want to jump to level 50 overnight but I want to see a steady progression. And with a lightning blaster there is just no way right now to do that. Garth, on Virtue, will never hit 15 with his debt level and xp needed. Unless I want to join a group and just hover while they do all the work.
Even my fire blasters aren't doing as well as before but they can still at least solo and gain some xp. If we do play Virtue it'll be Dirk for me for awhile. On Infinity I'll have to pass. I'm really not up to starting over a new character from scratch again and Lightning Ranzz is the only character I have there.
On top of all of this, it seem no matter what server I'm on it goes offline after a few minutes. I switch to a different one then that one goes off. What's up? Are there really that many players out there who were not playing and have now only logged in because of the update? That's not fair to regular players.
Okay, gotta quit. My head feels like its going to explode. Hope you feel better soon, buddy ... But I gotta say right now: the nights that the Legion is on Virtue, I won't be playing until such time as the developers do somethins so I have a shot at getting somewhere with Andrew.

They were doing something today. I had to download something when I logged in. We had a long Lost mission tonight, but it was definitely more doable. My accuracy seemed better. The Infinity group made some real progress. Of course, my opinion could change again when I face another group of Tsoo with caltrops.

Sorry I missed it, but my head was killing me last night so I went to bed early and wouldn't have been able to play anyway ...

Skimming the boards this morning, and I a found the perfect casual player thread. This guy articultes exactly what the problems are. I hope the devs are looking: Casual players thread I had to download and apply another patch, so hopefully things are getting better quickly.

I had to download and apply another patch, so hopefully things are getting better quickly. I haven't played this morning, so I'll have to get on soon and get the lay of the land. And I wish they would post what portion of their audience are casual gamers and what are the hard core people. I can't see that the hard core people as being a good long term audience ... they'll just move onto the next hot game. Those of us who weren't into MMOs to begin with should be the ones they'd want to keep. We don't use the servers as much and we pay just as much..

Okay, I just ran Siphoniator and got him up to level 6. It was much easier than it was on Thursday. The baddies went down much easier than they were doing Thursday night. I even managed to take out a couple of the aliens after taking a hit of a disclipine.
I may actually feel like possibly taking Andrew out for a spin again someday, but I hope that Vee will take clear mind for Mysa now ... looks like we're going to need that a lot now...

Anyone try to do a Hollows mish yet?
That seems to be still screwed up. The lead bricks seem to have multiple holds now ...

I'm taking a break from the game for awhile.... it's given me a HUGE headache... hopefully they'll fix some things... at some point anyway.

They've been doing a lot of patches and the like lately. They just yanked it down again.
They are working on it ... and I think that things have gotten a little better. I was able to solo my level 6 defender without too much difficulty this morning ...

DM, you might want to log in just to get a few of the patches out of the way... they've been coming in fast and furious. I've been thinking of you and what a pain those patches must be on dialup (nothing compared to the update but I can see the frustration with getting three patches after staying away for a couple days).
Kiri-Kimi did a coule hunting mish in the hollows and, with someone who knows the area and is a good team player, it's not so bad. You gotta make sure to stay in the right area (since it gets up to level 15) and function as a team (our biggest problem was a teammate who'd go and aggro another mob before we could even talk about what to do next, which is a problem anywhere).
(I stopped healing him after he got me killed, tho he still survived our venture.)

I only care about Smallville, and it's just an hour premiere this year. I'll be on.

Hello?
Where is everyone?
I ran New Raven on Liberty today, and she did better than she did on Thursday, but she still has one of the worst accuracy rates I've ever seen on a character...

I was playing Linus a while ago, but I'm done for the night, I think. I'll be there Wednesday, though. Infinity group?

Infinity is good for me. Did you see any of the new aliens whose name I'm not even going to attempt to spell? I was home sick from work today, and I didn't see any of them running around.
Once we get confirmation that we want to be on Infinity I'll check with Grem and see if she can play. She may be working...

Just so everybody knows (and for some reason I've met a few people in the game who want nothing to do with this)...
Lvl 15-20 in one day.
I got Kara Zor-El from 16-20 (yes, cape too) in just a few hours.
You need 4 people (lvl 15-18 get best xp) to start the Skyway TF with Synapse. The leader should stay there to call Synapse whenever needed and one fast travelling player in Steel Canyon. The others can be in either city since they will only be killing clocks.
-first short mission: scout for locations in SC...900xp. -second short mission: kill 30 clockworks (their lvl doesnt matter)...900xp. -third short mission: talk to Positron in SC ...900xp.
Then report back to Skyway and everyone quits the TF and starts it over again (the xp gets lower as you lvl)
Do this a couple dozen times and everybody will be ready for capes by the time your done.
Although some people would seem to rather earn their xp the hard way, I, however, think the game owes us this cheat for all the other b.s. it throws at us.
Go conquer the universe for me...for the god whose image you have carved your own homeworld as a monument.Go... for your master... For Darkseid!

I did't see any Ruluaru yesterday at all. Guess we finally stopped the invasion. Interresting info about the shortcut to a cape Ultra. Thanks for sharing it!

Hey, Ultra, how long did that take?
I'm thinking that would be kind of nice. I'd like to get Star his cape. 8-)
Hey, Vee ... where were you, man? I didn't see you on at all yesterday!

Hmmm, interesting tip, Ultra. Perhaps we should try this out with the Ls of Virtue this weekend?
(Maybe with breaks to stop and smell the roses... is there anything interesting we should check out at lvls 15 - 20, like say a good storyline where we track down the tsoo boss?)

Hey, Vee ... where were you, man? I didn't see you on at all yesterday! Yeah Mysa wants her's really bad and Beauty would like one also. As does Lar. I might go ahead and get Condo one (along with an appropriate uniform for a cape) just for the sake of getting one. I really think they came out great! Blue...I was on Virtue almost all night from about 4:30/5:00 until about 12:30/1:00. I was only off line for a dinner break from about 7:00-8:00 or so. Got Condo's debt down into the 4200+ range from almost 8000.

Ultra,
Can you combine the cape mish with a new costume mish? Both of those are possible at level 20, but I didn't know if they were the same thing ... that is, you get a cape and you get a new costume ... or you have to do one or the other.
Andrew doesn't need a cape, but he could use a second costume.

Blue, from what I hear they're two different missions... the cape mission involves a capsule that you have to find and protect while the second costume involves only "arresting" a number of Tsoo.
I'm not sure if you can do both misisons, but I'd expect you can, 'else some folks would be screaming on the boards, I'd imagine.

Just have the last mish to go (the one in our future Legion HQ!) We're going to try to do that tonight before joining the rest of you on Infinity.
Unfortunately, Prism wasn't able to get online last night until very late because he was having modem problems. That made last night's mish tough for Seymour, SLK & me because of the embalmed abominations that Prism usually is able to "confuse" into exploding among their buddies.
