Hey Blue,
Forgive me if you've done this already but it's worth asking... have you got your antivirus and spyware scanner updated and scanned your machine recently? My boyfriend and I have seen this happen to friends' machines where they've been hit by several kinds of malware that hijacks their bandwith as it goes searching for more potential victims.
Anyway, I think I'm going to split my time between Mr Brazil, The Gear Queen and Kami-Kiri tonight. How about playing with the Infinity kids on Saturday?

Sounds like a plan! Look for Eidol Mage when you're on with Gear Queen. I'll probably play him and maybe one or two others.

I scan my machine every week for viruses, but I haven't gotten spyware. I suppose that I should but I figured the firewall and antivirus were protection enough ... Sigh. Anyone got a good recommendation? And I really wanna meet the Gear Queen!

Thanks for the links, Scott.
Got 'em installed and checked out...
And for those of you who haven't been on today, I just got off from playing Fong of Borg-- and am mildly ticked off that every tanker/scrapper powerset except invulnerability seems to have a heal built into it-- and I'm getting the patch for issue 2 installed pending future release...
That means that Issue 2 is coming soon, right? They wouldn't do it more than a month in the future would they?

If they are starting the patch I would say we are less than a month from the release. Maybe sometime in the next couple of weeks. I wonder if the website says. Haven't visited lately.

Okay, I caved and created a CoH Mythic character tonight. She is now a 6th lvl Technology (Fire/Devices) Blaster. Meet Janice van Dorn: Janice is the daught of Clarissa van Dorn and the Count Alphonse Crey. She was born shortly before the Count entered his coma and was sent away to Europe by her mother, the Countess Crey. While attending a number of private schools Janice started to exhibit some extra-ordinary powers. She possesses the ability use a number of technological devices, similar to ones developed by her mother's company. Janice can also emit flames from her hands. Unbeknownst to her mother, Janice has used her position as the daughter of the Countess to investigate her family and stumbled upon just how evil her mother really is. The worst thing that Janice has discovered so far is the Countess' treachery to her own husband. She is responsible for his continued coma by the administration of a number of drugs created by Crey. Janice believes it is these same drugs that triggered her own inherent abilities. Due to this betrayal of her father, a man she has never met, and the discovery of a number of plots against the helpless citizens of Paragon City, Janice has vowed to use her powers to bring her own mother to justice.

For those who haven't seen her, here is a pic of Janice's mother, the Countess Crey.

Neat, Scott. How are you liking the devices secondary? Are you going to try to power level her like Dirk? And do you have to use the fire blaster powers only to do that?

I have to get my haircut today, but I should be free after that....
And I just gotta say that the KSers are really starting to annoy me. I can understand when someone attacks someone at the same time you do ... maybe they didn't see you or didn't know you were going to be doing something ... but to KEEP attacking after that ... or to attack after the baddies have already been engaged....
Grr.
I'm working on my Colorific illusion/kinetics controller and it's hard enough to level that kind of guy as it is without someone ksing everything in sight....
This rant brought to you by the letter R...

Well I just got up but I was back at work, again, until after 7 this morning making a nice 25+ hour day for me. So I just crashed when I finally got home. You don't have to use Fire as your primary but it is what most of the guides suggest. For a secondary they suggest either Devices, Energy or Fire. So I've tried one of each now. I really prefer the Fire/Fire (Dirk) so far but Janice is working okay. Only have the web grenade so far though. And I agree about KS'ers. Getting much worse. Some ass followed me around last night waiting until I was almost done and then stealing my Fallen Gunners or other big point guys. Then the little shit had the audacity to ask me to team with him. I told him to not only go to hell but I was going to report him for kill stealing. He was so blatant about it they should easily be able to tell what he was doing. Well I doubt I'll play much today. I'm waiting for a call to go back to work. If I get my hands on the idiot who tried to put the new password security live on three servers before testing it...

I'm still making dinner, but I'll join you on Infi as soon as I get the meats going. Dinner tonight it gonna be slow cooked mexican foods! (Got the beans going, the dulce de leche is almost done, next I got to make the carnitas and pollo in salsa verde.)
Mmmmmm, mmmmm. I love my slow cooked foods.
(Oh, and I'll be afk a lot as I step away to stir a little.)

I'm guessing that we'll be meeting at 10AM PST, as usual for the TF? My time will be limited today, as I've got a dinner to go to, so I should be leaving Paragon City by 3:30 (gee, remember when we were confident we'd have the whole TF done within that time?)

Hehehe! Those were the days! But, yes, the plan is for 1:00 PM eastern (10 AM pacific) and hopefully we can finish Task Force Trinity today if everyone can be there for the finale.

Heh. Don't forget that we have to do a TF for the Infinity Legion soon ... We had fun last night and did really well. In fact, I was just about to tell the guys we'd been doing great ... right before I jumped into a bunch of Outcasts I didn't see beforehand and died ... I've got to make a cake today to take in to work-- it's my 10th anniversary on the job-- so I think I'll play it safe and make it BEFORE we start the TF!

But cake is in the oven now ... everytime I've brought a cake in, I've gotten good reviews so I hope that the track record continues! Later this week I gotta make some brownies to use up the last of the eggs... always make brownies after I make a cake ...

Kudoes to everyone for an excellent job on the TF today. Everyone did great and we really performed much better than we did on our first night.
So congrats again to everyone on a job well done ...
Now we just need to get Infinity up and running ... ;-)

Glad you all had fun. I almost made it to the end of the Synapse task Force today but by the time we got to the end we were down to just 3 people. No way we could defeat the clockwork king.
So Im bummed...
