It sounds to me like we've got the toughest bit behind us then, right? I'm all for continuing through to the end. Maybe if everyone can't be there we do what we can but wait for everyone before we do the final part, #15. That way no one will feel cheated, especially if they got a lot a debt from earlier.
Also, only 200 bonus xp and inf at the end? That seems kinda cheap to me. Even if we get a level 18 SO, the bonus xp and inf should be at least 1000.

Also w/ the larger groups, there are a BUNCH of bosses in the 1st mission, usually 2 per every group you encounter along w/ at least 2 leiu's... sometimes as many as 6 lieu w/ two bosses. it isn't a bad TF, but i thought the skyway city one was more fun. Also there is no archvillian, just three groups of baddies all wanting the city dam.
So that's what we did wrong. We went in with too large a group. It seemed logical, but the game's mathematics are just stacked against large groups. Sigh. So unless we want to spend another eight hours on this, maybe we should split up or level up enough to do the next TF instead and take on this one with smaller Infinity groups.

From the above, I'd guess the Clocks we're about to face are 17s (which we already know) but will drop down to 14s since it seems everything is up one level for our group. Once we get past those 17s we should have smooth sailing through the rest of the mish.
Also note that after that mish every other mish until #12 says "defeat [boss] and his guards" other than #7 which says "minions". That means we can bypass everyone until we get to the boss and those in the room with him. This might also apply to #7 because it doesn't say "defeat all"
#12 has no bosses. 13, 14 & 15 will be a bit tougher but still sound doable to me.

Having said that, the other TFs don't seem to have much more bonus xp (Synapse has 500 I think, and the other three range from 1000 to 3000 I think)

BTW, I just logged on and went in to check the level of the Clocks. They were 16s. So it seems as if the mish level definitely adjusts based on the current participants.
One other thing, if any of you are going to be on CoH tonight or tomorrow night, let me know. I'll have Mysa replenish everyone's inspirations so we are fully stocked again. Of course, someone will have to help me out with Condo again.

Sorry I got cranky and grumpy the closer I got to 5k in debt. Next time I know what to expect and will buckle down more. But I don't want to be a quitter, and I don't want to have to give up when we worked so hard this far. Me and Tasmia will be ready Wednesday! And, um LyleLyle, geez you're making gumbo?? If me and Scott show up with red beans and rice and some hushpuppies and Jax Beer, can we come over too?? LONG LIVE THE LEGION, and even the Legion task Force, The Trinity Titans!!

Sorry, Blue, I meant that, among the Infinity characters I had seen us play, I didn't think any of them had rez in their path. Don't think I ever teamed with your fire/emp controller.
Have you tried out the Hero Planner at CoH warcry, Blue? It's good for figuring out what's available when. Lyle, my fire/empath controller is on Triumph, not Infinity. Sorry for the mixup.8-) And no, I haven't. Do you have a link?

CoH Warcry is at: http://coh.warcry.com/ Hmmm, red beans and rice would be most welcome, SG. I should warn you my gumbo recipe was made from a mix of recipes I found online without every having tasted someone else's recipe. I'm always afraid it doesn't taste quite authentic, (I couldn't bring myself to put more than a half-cup of oil for the roux) but its still pretty tasty. As for the TF if everyone can wait for me to get home on Wednesday night, let's see if Group Invisiblity can get us through the clocks level... we'll activate it, sneak past a group, look for a safe spot and wait for the recharge. Hmmm, on infi the Princess could get us invisible, won't we?

OK, so we're on for Wednesday -- at least as far as we can get. If everyone's willing to stick with it, I sure am. I don't want to be a quitter either, Caroline. And now that we know we can sneak past some of the tougher mobs, we should be able to complete faster -- if not get all the XP we would otherwise. Of course, that's only assuming we wouldn't die any more, so sneaking past sounds good to me.
Yes, Lyle, Princess will get group invis at some point -- 14 when you got it? I'll definitely pick it up for her.

I'm good for Wednesday, too, but it probably couldn't be before 9:00.
I like the sneaking past idea. At nearly 6k in debt, I'd just as soon avoid confrontations right now.

If that's the case, rather than have us all go, why not let Prism go by himself with a tp lock on him by Tas or Doc so that he can be pulled out to safety if he runs into trouble? The more of us there are, the greater the chance we'll run into trouble.

Oh, and someone looked at a guide and told me that I couldn't get mutate until level 16... so Star won't be able to rez if we do Positron TF on Infinity.

Okay, since I have fully admitted to being addicted to CoH, it should surprise no one that I created three new chars today. But, one of them was Kent Shakespeare on Infinity!! He will totally take the medicine path and should make a wonderful physician for our group there. He doesn't fit with the adventure era, but I didn't think about it and now I've spent hours tonight working to get him to lvl 5. It takes a hell of a long time to lvl up a char that has not much fighting power. I gotta sleep now. Rock on my hero crack babies!!!! Wait, I can't sleep, I've had too much caffeine.....

Unfortunately, it looks like the Clock mish is one of the "defeat all" so the idea of sneaking past them won't work for this one. The ggod news is that it is front loaded and shoul drop down 3 levels with the boss being the lowest level.

We just have to be ready for them as they are right inside the door and start attacking immediately.

Yeah, I only had about 5 seconds from the time I entered yesterday to check their level, before I started getting blasted, and I didn't move from the door at all. The good thing is that we can make a stand at the door and have a quick escape if needed before accruing any more debt. If we all use that tacttic we should be able to handle the first group at least.

In that case, I might sign on tonight to try to switch out a few of my trainings to SO Enhancements. I've got enough extra to afford a couple.

Maybe we can up our chances this way:
Everyone but Lyle and me log out. Lyle invisibles us, we go in to set the mission, then everyone else logs back on (say two minutes later), and we kick some Clockwork butt.
Just a thought.

Even better, Lyle & Doc could go in to set the mish level. With Doc as a level 12 it should set fairly low. Both have heals so they can keep each other alive if discovered until everyone else gets logged on and in through the door. The we can REALLY kick some Clockwork butt!

Good idea, Vee. I think timing might be the only issue since (if I'm understanding correctly) there are clocks right outside the door. Are they far enough that Doc and I could stand right at the door without much worry of aggo while the rest of the TF signs on? Group invisiblity will protect us for a little while, but I'm not sure if it'll last long enough for everyone to sign on if that's our only proteciton.
Does everybody have an alt on Virtue that is part of the SG? Perhaps we could coordinate using alts? We gather as alts, everyone else signs off, I turn on group invis, doc & I enter as everyone in the TF signs on and joins us, hopefully as the invisiblity is wearing off and we'll need combat help.
'course that's moot if it's safe for Doc and I to just stand at the door and wait for everyone to log in and enter the door.

You and Doc would have to enter the building before the rest of us could log back on.
I'm thinking the easiest way to do it is for us all to gather at the door. All log off at the same time. As soon as everyone drops from the team list (which should be within a second of each other), Prism does the invisible thing and they go in.
Meanwhile, the rest of us count to 30 and sign back on, going through the door as soon as we're on to help out.
That should give them plenty of time to get in but not lose their invisibility before the cavalry arrives. I don't think signing on as alts would make a difference because we'd still all have to log off and time logging back on.

Good ideas but are we forgetting something? The TF requires a minimum of three members. Will it let only two in?
