We had the European MTV awards last night hosted by Christina Aguilera. I've never been a particulalry big fan of hers but I think a lot more of her now. She was a great presenter and her entrance was hilarious.

i didn't watch it all !! but the parts i did see featuring Christina [ she was pretty good !! ]
i enjoyed KYLIE's performance with her dancers and their red "lightsabers" !!!
but i turned over to see "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" that started last night on "Living" ....

I though Kylie was pretty dissapointing to be honest. Visually it's ok but the sound is pretty boring really. Shame really, I thought she stole the show last year. I thought it was funny when Vin Desel was told by the announcer to get off stage

Also, the Darkness was another high point. I think it's physically impossible to not like their song.

And speaking of '80s ho-bags, who'd've thunk that we'd ever hear from Kylie Minogue again?!?! I gotta give her credit for looking so *F*ing hot after all this time.

To be honest I doubt the Darkness will get another song as good a this one, although they will probably be able to ride the momentum of this one for about another song or two. Yeah Christina's a ho-bag but she does it so well that I can't help admiring her now Kylie never really went away, she made a big comeback in the UK an album or two ago that has put her on a near Goddess level over here. Another high point was the Bo' Selecta guy doing his Michael Jackson impersonation. I just wish it had been his Christina impersonation, that cracks me up.

All I saw of it was Pink's performance, which I thought was GREAT, and just a couple moments of Christina speaking.
I've always liked Pink, but I don't own any of her cd's. I've always admired Christina's voice but really REALLY dislike her image.
I hope I get to see a re-broadcast of the show. I'd love to see Kylie.

What Paul neglected to mention was that they always have a big booze-up at his work while the European Music Awards are on.
It was after one of these marathon booze-ups that Paul ended up walking from Camden to Croydon! (He was trying to walk back to his flat in Brixton but took a wrong turn...)
