This week has already started out with a loss by Oregon to Arizona so here's my best guesses for what else may happen...
#7 Ohio State at #21 Michigan ~ With losses by both these teams last week, your guess is as good as mine. Vee's pick ~ Michigan
#17 Boston College at #15 Clemson ~ Clemson is favored at home but I'm not sure BC has another loss in them this season Vee's pick ~ Boston College
#6 West Virginia at #22 Cincinnati ~ There should be no question about the outcome Vee's pick ~ West Virginia
North Carolina State at Wake Forest ~ Wake Forest bounces back from their disappointing loss last week Vee's pick ~ Wake Forest
#23 Kentucky at #9 Georgia ~ Tough pick but I think the Bulldogs are on a roll Vee's pick ~ Georgia
Louisville at South Florida ~ The Bulls defense should be able to handle Louisville, particularly at home Vee's pick ~ South Florida
Maryland at Florida State ~ Does Maryland have another upset in them? This is the type of game that they've thrived in all year. Vee's pick ~ Maryland
Vanderbilt at #22 Tennessee ~ Vanderbilt has been better than normal this year but I don't think they can take the Vols at home Vee's pick ~ Tennessee
Mississippi State at Arkansas ~ Mississippi State has surprised this year but I just don't see Arkansas lossing this one. Vee's pick ~ Arkansas
New Mexico at Utah ~ These two teams are fairly evenly matched this year and shoul make this a good game. Vee's pick ~ Utah

All I want is that OU does not make it to the Championship Game. Please do not let this happen again. I rather see Kansas and even LSU up there. No more Sooners.

You know with the season wrapping up soon, I have to say: this has been one of the most enjoyable seasons of college football ever. For two reasons, the first being the obvious craziness of the year, with upset after upset each week as teams in the top ten fell *hard*. There were some crazy upsets constantly, and some damn good games too. The other has been the awesome-ness of this thread, keeping me in tune with each week when usually my attention begins to waver three-fourths of the way through. You guys space-rawk! Now all I need is CT to make a bowl game

And... this week's games! Got a lot of good matchups this week, and on different days, so let's all try to get picks in as early as possible. #11 USC at #6 Arizona State (THURSDAY) #19 Boise State at #15 Hawaii (FRIDAY) #8 Virginia Tech at #16 Virginia Utah at #25 Brigham Young #20 Connecticut at #3 West Virginia #4 Missouri at #2 Kansas Alabama at Auburn #22 Clemson at South Carolina #18 Tennessee at Kentucky #12 Florida at Florida StateI had originally thought about expanding this week's picks to 20 games, but I've decided against it, as picking 10 games is more than enough work (or guesswork, as the case may be.) Still, lots of really excellent games being left off this list (OU-OSU, GA-GT, Texas-A&M, among many other rivalry games), which makes me sad. I tried to keep it to the most competitive games though, in the spirit of the competition thus far.

USC
Boise State - as resident Hawaii hater, I feel I must!
Virginia Tech
Brigham Young
Connecticut - c'mon Huskies, lets hit that bowl game!
Missouri - probably the biggest game of the entire season!!! I have Missouri, but I really want Kansas to do it.
Alabama
Clemson
Kentucky
Florida

#11 USC at #6 Arizona State (THURSDAY) ~ I think this game will all come down to how well (or poorly) John David Booty can perform. Although he had a good game against Cal in the rain, he still didn't seem to be at 100%. If he is fully recovered tomorrow the Trojans should be able to pull this off, if not, the Sun Devils will ride their homefield to a victory. Vee's pick ~ USC#19 Boise State at #15 Hawaii (FRIDAY) ~ If you just change my comments above to read "Colt Brennan" in place of John David Booty, you can comprehend how I feel about this game. Colt is still not fully recovered from his concusion and Hawaii is far from the same team with him at less than 100%. Boise meanwhile gets to play their last game of the season at home on that blue turf. Go Blue! Vee's pick ~ Boise State#8 Virginia Tech at #16 Virginia ~ As much as the Cavaliers have impressed this season, they aren't enough of a Cinderella to pull this off and go on to the ACC championship game. Vee's pick ~ VA TechUtah at #25 Brigham Young ~ Both these teams are riding 7 game winning streaks. One of them is about to go home with a broken win streak. IMO the Utes have fared best against comparable teams and I think they'll have the edge here. Vee's pick ~ Utah#20 Connecticut at #3 West Virginia ~ Goodness, I hope they televise this game in Orlando because it promises to be a great one. Connecticut's defense is outstanding and the Mountaineers offense is explosive. WVU will have homefield advantage and that could well be the deciding factor since the Huskies are undeafeated at home and have road losses against Cincinnati & Virginia. I'll be rooting for the Huskies but refuse to pick 'em so I don't jinx 'em! Vee's pick ~ West Virginia#4 Missouri at #2 Kansas ~ This may well be the toughest game of the year to pick! Both the Tigers and Jayhawks have been spectacular and are truly deserving of their #2 & #4 rankings. Missou's only loss was to then #6 Oklahoma and Kansas is still undefeated. Both have great QBs and terrific receivers. Who to pick...who to pick? Vee's pick ~ Kansas in a must see game of the yearAlabama at Auburn ~ I hope to hell that last week's loss to UL Monroe was a case of looking past a team to the big rivalry game. 'Bama should be loaded for bear after three losses in a row but Auburn lost a tough game to Georgia last Saturday and will be gunning for the Tide as well. With the game at Auburn, this could easily be a nightmare ending to what started out as a great season for the Crimson Tide. I just don't think Alabama will let Auburn end their season on a 4 game losing streak. Besides, I really believe that 'Bama is the better team. Fingers crossed! Vee's pick ~ Alabama#22 Clemson at South Carolina ~ Their dream of an ACC title evaporated last weekend with their loss to BC but Clemson still has the Gamecocks in their sights. A win this weekend should sooth some (though not all) of the disappointment Tiger fans are feeling. Beating Spurrier's teams has a way of doing that. The real USC however is no push over and should prove to be a tough match. But not tough enough to take down the Tigers, I think, even though the game is in Columbia, SC. Vee's pick ~ Clemson#18 Tennessee at Kentucky ~ I still believe the Kentucky Wildcats are one of the best teams I've seen play this year. While the Vols have the better record, the Wildcats should be able to take them at home Vee's pick ~ Kentucky #12 Florida at Florida State ~ This should be a no-brainer. The Gators are far and away the better team this year and should have an easy win but you never really know how a Gators v. Seminoles game is going to turn out. Vee's pick ~ FloridaOne final comment: This has been an excruciating year for this ol' Hurricane. Currently at 5-6, Miami needs a win this last weekend to qualify for a bowl game. Yes, that's right, we still haven't qualified for a bowl much less earned a bid anywhere! I have laid much of the blame for the Hurricanes' woes at the feet of QB Kyle Wright. For the better part of three years I watched him fall short of expectations (he was the #1 rated quarterback in the US his senior year in high school and was touted as the next great QB at "Quarterback U") It's probably unfair to have placed all the blame at his feet. After all, many of his passes were simply dropped when just about anyone could have caught them...many of his sacks were due to missed assignments by the offensive line that gave him no time to make a play. Having said that, great quarterbacks pick up their team and carry them on their shoulders to victory. They find a way to win and this is Kyle's greatest failing so far. The Kyle Wright era at UM ends this weekend at Boston College. A win there makes the Canes bowl eligible which means we might be invited to play somewhere like Boise or Seattle or...well, you get the picture. As you can imagine, these bowls fail to really inspire someone like me that is accustomed to having "my" team play in the Orange, Rose, Sugar, Fiesta and be in the running for national championships. But this ol' Hurricane will be watching and rooting for Miami against Boston College for two special reasons. 1) Miami hasn't lost a game to Boston College since Doug Flutie beat us in the Orange Bowl with his "Hail Flutie" pass. That's right. We haven't allowed BC a single victory since 1984...and we haven't lost at Boston College since 1975! I can't stand the thought of those two streaks ending. 2) Even more important however, I'll be rooting for Miami to win so Kyle Wright gets the shot at redemption that he most certainly deserves. He has borne the scorn and ridicule of Miami fans like a true gentleman for the past three seasons and I have never seen nor heard him bemoan his lot. He has always accepted the blame for the team's poor performance and fought hard every week to make things better. He has played through what would be season ending injuries for most, including a broken wrist on his throwing arm ...refusing to leave the game for more than ten minutes to get it taped. Kyle Wright will never be on my list of favorite QBs from UM but on Saturday I'll be cheering him on as vehemently & vociferously as I possibly can. I hope he finally gets the chance to be the winner on the field that he has proven to be off the field. He deserves no less than that in my opinion. <marquee behavior=alternate> <span style="font-size: 40px;"> GO Canes !!!</span> </marquee>

Crap!
I totally dropped the ball on this one this week, guys... I've had a crezy busy week at work this week.
Tell you what, let's take a break from our picks for championship week and we'll come back and do all the bowls starting next week. (I don't think one day for everyone to get picks in at this point is really fair.)

Okay, honestly, the work excuse was just that... an excuse.
The way Alabama finished the regular season has left me pretty heartbroken.
And while I'm seriously excited about us picking all the bowl games, well, for this week... I just needed to take a little break. It's been quite a rollercoaster of a season.

I understand KP. When FL lost their 3rd game and USF also went through the ringer I kind of lost interest. My one wish came true though...LSU will not win the championship.

I'll be rooting for LSU, but damn if this wasn't a kooky season. I mean...WV getting beat *that* bad, let alone at all? Funny thing is I was sure LSU would take the whole thing during week one (I know, I know, not exactly the longshot ), and at least two times this season thought it wouldn't happen.
