I'm so excited by that last Matt Ryan touchdown pass that I don't even mind losing the pick! Wow.
That was a thing of beauty.

Dude, waiting until the second the game ended to post your picks was a bit obvious. I'm just messing with you, this is all in good fun. Though if you win this whole thing, it's totally gonna be with an asterisk.

The good news is, I think from this point forward we can avoid Thursday night games (except for USC-Arizona St. Thanksgiving weekend.)

I'd just gotten home from work and logging in remembered I had to make my picks. Right after I made them, I went to a sports board and saw it erupt. I posted exactly when the game ended and wanted a do-over. I only picked BC because I'm not a fan of VT lol. sigh Feel free to discount, I should have posted wednesday.

Nah, it's easier for my scorekeeping if I keep everything in groups of 10. I'd rather asterisk you at the end of the season, anyway. It's much more college football-like.
Besides, at the moment, your late Thursday picks aren't even a factor. Even with them edited out, you're still in the lead.

Wow! Just got done watching UConn defeat USF. What an awesome game the Huskies played. Although the Bulls seemed out of synch in the first half, they came back blazing in the second half and turned this into a nailbiter.
Congrats to Cobie and his UConn Huskies. They've proved they're for real at 7-1.
Great game!

Wow! I actually feel lucky to have come out the way I did! Though if SC and VT hadn't totally collapsed at the end...it woulda been a different story. A lot of my picks this week were based on certain teams being paper giants. Chalk it up to a lesson learned!

I'm in shock. Not because I was wrong in 8 of my pics (OUCH!). But because the BCS standings are up... ...and... ...UCONN is ranked number 13!!!!! That's the highest ranking in their history! I'm not sure they've ever broken the top 20! And they beat USF! (PS - Thanks Vee! ) I can't believe it! WOW! ps - I'm terrible at this

I would suggest, on the way to the great meet-up, none of us stop in Vegas.

Me too Its all in good fun. I'm sometimes enjoying missing a pick more than winning one if the game is awesome. I don't usually feel that way when I lose at blackjack or roulette at the casino. UCONN/Rutgers should be great. I hope this is the start of a new Big East rivalry given the sudden rise to the spotlight of these two teams. And ND's schedule doesn't exactly get 'easy' but it gets slightly less crazy for the rest of the season so I really, really, really hope they can pull off a few good wins, including Navy this week. (Note 'a few good' pun) This weekend is the big test for Alabama. Best of luck on that Kippers! Oh, and I like your original 10. I'll be picking my favorite teams on probably all 10 rather than trying to actually pick the winner, since that's not working for me. This way if I'm right, its all the more sweeter

So Saban and the LSU/Alabama rivalry is raw and crazy that the New York Times did a full half-page article on it today (front cover of the sports section). Just thought you should be alerted to that cool fact Kippers!

REALLY?? That's nuts! I'm sure they didn't say anything that hasn't been said a hundred times over down here the past two weeks. To be honest, the press is turning this into a bigger deal than it is from an Alabama fan standpoint. Most of us are much more concerned with Auburn in a few weeks, though I hear the LSU faithful are just this side of a frenzied mob. Which is fine, give it 3 years and they'll be beneath our notice anyway. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do hate LSU, it's just that they're no Auburn or Tennessee.

To be honest, this game is kind of a win-win for us. If we win, it's a joyous day in the state just this side of Jesus coming back. If we lose, well, we didn't expect to win anyway. Anything besides losing horribly is a positive. Now on the LSU side, it's a totally different story...

NY TIMES: “He’s (Saban's) a traitor,” Linda Hendricks, an L.S.U. fan from Denham Springs, La., said as she visited the university’s tiger mascot habitat. “He could have been governor. He could have been president. Now he’s a traitor. He’s not even sexy anymore .”

Okay, I'll start with the predictions... #21 Wisconsin at #1 Ohio State ~ Can't be a hyprocrit (well I could but I won't ) I haven't been all that impressed with Wisconsin this year and have argued against their inflated rankings pretty much all season. OSU will lose this season, but it won't be to the Badgers. Vee's pick ~ Ohio StateCincinatti at #18 South Florida ~ This should be a fun game. The Bearcats are good and have played well this season but the Bulls are better IMO and they play extra tough at Raymond James Stadium. Vee's pick ~ South FloridaRutgers at #13 Connecticut ~ I hate, hate, hate having to pick this game. The Huskies have impressed me and the game is in Hartford but I just don't think the Scarlet Knights are going to be willing to accept another loss this season and will play the best game to avoid one. Vee's pick ~ Rutgers...barely#15 Texas at Oklahoma State ~ based on their ranking, Texas should handle Okie State easily but the Cowboys are a pretty good team. If you look at results against the one common opponent so far, OSU romped over the Cornhuskers while Texas struggled to beat them. Vee's pick ~ Oklahoma StateEast Carolina at Memphis ~ Both are decent teams and the game is at Memphis but the Pirates easily defeated a very good UCF team while Memphis lost big to them Vee's pick ~ East CarolinaSouth Carolina at Arkansas ~ Anotehr tough game to call. Arkansas is favored by 4 but I don't see Spurrier's team losing another SEC game. Vee's pick ~ South CarolinaNavy at Notre Dame ~ Navy is 4-4 and ND is 1-7 but one of Navy's losses was against Div 1AA Delaware. While the Blue Hens are a tough team, the Midshipmen should have won that game and didn't. Vee's pick ~ ND wins their second game of the year.#4 Arizona State at #5 Oregon ~ Man oh man. This will be a tough game all around. I'm impressed with both teams but the Ducks are at home and that's a huge home field advantage. Vee's pick ~ Oregon#3 LSU at #17 Alabama ~ The emperor has no clothes! LSU flaws have been put on display and Saban knows how to take advantage of them. Vee's pick ~ Alabama in another nailbiter#24 Wake Forest at #23 Virginia ~ This might be the toughest game of the weekend to pick and that's say bunches! The Cavaliers have had a spectacular year but I'm way too impressed with the WF's Riley Skinner to pick against them even though the game is at Virginia Vee's pick ~ Wake Forest

Ohio State – agree with Vee that Ohio State will lose, but not here. Michigan will be the one that beats them South Florida – time for USF to get back on track. Connecticut – have to stick by my alma matter no matter what, even though I know this will be a really tough game. Guess what? I could have went to this game…but have an engagement part (not mine) to go to instead on Saturday. That sucks! Texas – OK State always comes to play Texas, especially at home, but Texas will remind everyone how good they are. East Carolina – this is a tough one for me… South Carolina – and this one is tough too. Probably the toughest one for me to pick. Arkansas has been so inconsistent all season that I don’t know how to read them anymore. I’ve got to go with the Gamecocks. Notre Dame – have to stick by my boys. Let’s see ‘em get a few wins now. Oregon – AZ State is ranked higher but I can’t help feel that Oregon is a better team. In fact, I’m not sure I think AZ State deserves to be in that spot. Alabama – dare this New England boy say it? Why the hell not… ROLL TIDE! Virginia – Wake Forest is good and this is a tough one to pick too. But at the end of the day I think Virginia will pull this one off.

#21 Wisconsin at #1 Ohio State: I basically agree with everything my peers above have said about this game. Winner - Ohio StateCincinatti at #18 South Florida: I think USF is reeling from injuries and from sudden expectations. A lot in this game depends on Matt Grothe, but Cincinatti's defense is a step above most of the teams USF has played. I see this going to Cincinatti. Winner - CincinattiRutgers at #13 Connecticut: I don't think UConn can beat Rutgers. However, I also didn't think UConn could best USF. There's obviously some magic in these guys that I've not been exposed to living down here in SEC territory. So hell, why not? Winner - Connecticut#15 Texas at Oklahoma State: Man, I really kind of want OSU to win this one! Unfortunately, Texas is like Kryptonite to them. Year, after year, after year. Winner - TexasEast Carolina at Memphis: Sorry, Tigers. I love ya's in hoops, but ECU is decent and saying you're average is pushing it. Winner - East CarolinaSouth Carolina at Arkansas: I love picking SEC games because I don't have to do any research! This one is a tough one to handicap. I think Arkansas really needs this one to salvage their season, but here's the question: are they any good??? Answer: with Marcus Monk back, yes, they're better than you think. Opening up the passing game as much as possible gives McFadden more room on the field to work his magic, and having Monk back does that for them. All of their SEC losses are quality losses, too. I'm gonna go out on a limb and pick the Hogs, especially since South Carolina has to travel so far for this matchup. Winner - ArkansasNavy at Notre Dame: Some things are just unthinkable, even with this season going the way it has thus far. The Navy loss to 1-AA Delaware just cements it. Winner - Notre Dame#4 Arizona State at #5 Oregon: The big game of the week. Oregon is too good. If ASU is trailing significantly at the half like usual, they won't make it back up against this team. One last-minute call the other way, and Oregon might be the #1 team in the country right now. Winner - Oregon#3 LSU at #17 Alabama: Winner - ALABAMA#24 Wake Forest at #23 Virginia: Virginia has won or lost 5 games in a row by less than a touchdown. I know firsthand from the 2 previous seasons we had what kind of mental fatigue that puts on a team. Meanwhile, Wake is actually kind of cruising right now. Winner - Wake Forest
