I replied to a topic on Firestorm and got a message that it would be reviewed before being posted. That seems like more than a little hubris to me. No skin off my nose, I mean, its their boards and i hardly post there anymore, but still, has google's recent stance on "being evil" falling to the wayside infected DC as well?

Are there really that many left to even care about? The last time I looked at the Legion DCMB it was just a bunch of whiners bashing the book just to bash it. I think one visit a year there is one visit too many.

I think this started with a (mercifully unnamed) poster who put up a message on the DC boards concerning a VERY STUPID topic: "Superman (or Batman) should stop fighting other criminals and start bombing abortion centers." What a bunch of CRAP!!!!! What an *ssh*le!!!!!

They've adjusted the policy again.
Now your posts only get the moderator treatment if you have a post count of less than 500.
An improvement, perhaps, but I wish they would think this stuff through a little more.

It's still stupid. If poster A, with under the 500 posts, responds to poster B, and poster C, who isn't subject to moderation, responds after, but before poster A's post is cleared and showing...?   :Oy!:

Hey I put a post on the Wonder Woman board at the dcmb about what I considered the offensively sexualised portrayal of WW in Supergirl #5. (the costume is tiny and has a really plunging neckline.) I made a serious point that this was missing the point of the character and that she is meant to be inspiring to young girls not a masturbatory fantasy. And I think it has been deleted!
What is with this censorship? I wasn't alluding to breasts and masturbation for prurient reasons. I was making a serious and well argued point about a portrayal of a character I disagreed with.
Such hypocrisy. They present WW as a baloon breasted porn star in the comics and you are not allowed to talk about it on the message board? It's okay to show children soft porn artwork but heaven forbid they read a post that talks about sexuality in a frank mature way?
I doubt I'll be posting there again.

Man! I almost we had the staff and bandwidth to make a home for ALL those Legion fans who want someplace to call their Legion-home on the net. DC sure dropped the ball here...or is it WB that's screwing everything up?...or even AOL? I notice Lightning Lad and Nightcrawler don't advertise the site...and that's ok with me...word of mouth seems to bring in the more dedicated, talented and friendly fans than a bazillion google hits would. Betcha if anyone at the DC Offices wants to see what the fans are saying about the Legion then Mark, Barry and Steve tell 'em to check out LW.
