So did anyone else watch the 1st part of this on SciFi last night. It had some slow parts but it was generally fairly entertaining. The gal who plays the Sorceress Azkadellia is especially fun to watch.

Three parts of a 6 hour miniseries. Concludes on Tuesday night then all three parts will play back to back on Sunday the 9th.
As I wrote on some other boards:
I got my hands on an Advance Press copy of the 6 hour mini series Tin Man that will run on the sci-fi channel starting this sunday 12/2/07.
Please try to watch it. It is amazingly true to the original book and yet has almost nothing in common with any telling that has come before. If you like Battelstar Galatica or enjoy a film that asks you to think and come to your own conclusions then twist everything you thought you knew one more time than this will be the must watch series and must buy DVD of the year

I watched this yesterday. It was okay, but a lot of it just seemed kind of dumb/cliched to me.

I watched the first episode, didn't care for it enough to watch the rest. I mean the Wizard of OZ stories are really great in and of themselves. If you're going to "update" it, it better be a damn good rewrite or at least changed enough to be unrecognizable. This was mediocre at best. Really flat acting -especially Zoey Deschanel who I usually like (loved her run on Weeds!). It just kind of seemed like a pointless revision. Just like the 1st Legion reboot.
