looking forward to the Monkey set, with the last 16 episodes translated.
and the Goodies. not just the occasional ep, ALL of them.
those shows had a serious impact in the antipodes, as important as Simpsons in their effect.
Good & Evil
Ellery Queen
The Tick animated series
Strangers With Candy 3 (am i going to have to kill for them to release it?)
Several anime including Shaman King, Naruto & Baka the Idiot Adventures.

Looks like we'll have all 3 sets of the original Star Trek out before Christmas. From ICv2 . Entire Star Trek Original Series Out By Year's EndSeason 2 in November, Season 3 in December June 23, 2004 The Digital Bits Website has confirmed that the entire Star Trek: The Original Series will be available on DVD by the end of 2004. The long awaited release of the first season of the original series ( see "Star Trek Season One Coming to DVD" ) is set for August, and now we have confirmation that the Original Series Season 2 Collection will be out on November 2, followed by Season 3 on December 7. All three seasons of the Original Star Trek Series will also be available in an omnibus edition on December 7. No details have been released yet about the extras included on Seasons 2 & 3, though the original Star Trek pilot episode, The Cage, which starred Jeffrey Hunter (as Captain Christopher Pike) instead of William Shatner (as Captain James T. Kirk), is reportedly going to be included with the Season 3 DVD set.

I already have the entire collection on black-market laserdisc. It's part of my extensive Courtney Cox (no, I won't say Arquette!) collection, along with her all her appearance s in Bruce Springsteen videos (there were several more that she filmed but were never shown publicly), plus the Japanese commercials she did for support bras.

Ahem -- that's Court eney Cox ... but seriously, what other Springsteen videos did she shoot?? (which songs?) Do you have all her commercial work too? (not to mention "Masters of the Universe" or did she successfully manage to burn all the copies?)

There's a series that's overdue for release on DVD.What about her appearance on Murder She Wrote? Two episodes there. And, of course, her appearance as Jerry's wife on Seinfeld.

Any update on THE STATE and JOSIE & THE PUSSYCATS?
STAR TREK (original) season 1 is out, $89.99 at Spin Street. Pricey, a little, but for 28 eps and buttloads of bonus stuff, a sure purchase for me. I'll be getting it next Friday.
And of course the third and final season of STRANGERS WITH CANDY hit stores this week.

And I cannot find any info on The State and Josie. Must have been put on hold or cancelled.

I'd love to see Michael Mann's "Crime Story" starring Dennis Farina. The Chicago season was better than Vegas, but it was a great period series that featured a great cat & mouse game between the main cop and the main baddie.

I'm glad that DVDs have become priced cheap enough to make them affordable, and technically, a better buy than videotape. So one of these days I really ought to buy myself a DVD player...
DARK SHADOWS-- incredibly, the ENTIRE SERIES-- every single episode (more than 1,000 of them!!!) is on VHS. That boggles my mind.
DARIA-- I know they started putting these on VHS, although I have every one straight off of MTV. Only the later seasons got screwed up, when they started slapping crap over the end credits. There oughta be a law against stuff like that.
STAR TREK-- I'm wondering when and why they reverted to "original network broadcast order"? Years back, when the original "production" order became common knowledge, I PREFERRED watching the episodes that way. There's a much smoother "evolution" in the style of the writing, etc. Also, one really MUST watch the 3 "pilots" (of sorts) in sequence: "The Cage" (1st Spock), "Where No Man Has Gone Before" (1st Kirk) and "The Corbomite Maneuver" (1st McCoy!).

"What was that ninja show in the '80's with Lee Van Cleef? Yeah, I'm holding my breath til that comes out on DVD!!"
THE MASTER-- I have that whole series taped off the air. A cool show-- it had a very "comic-book" feel to it, the writing, the attitude, the action scenes. Sho Kosugi (who starred in a "Ninja" anthology film series, connected only by the Ninja "theme") played the recurring villain. It also had a cool theme song by Bill Conti-- which was actually a SLIGHTLY altered version of the track "Runaway" from his score for FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (the ski-chase music).
"Sapphire and Steel got released here...but is available exculsively online."
Well, if you're posting here online... it seems you ought to be able to get it!

My picks:
NIGHT COURT-- especially the 2nd season (I'm so in love with Billie Young!). The show is being butchered in syndication-- 2 completely different "edits" of each episode. It's like trying to watch STAR TREK in the 70's when whole chunks of story is just missing from every show. I'd really appreciate it if someone could figure out the CORRECT order to run these as well, since it's clear to me the NETWORK got it wrong. Also, the 1st season (with Karen Austin) tended to have its order changed every time Fox would run it-- which wasn't often (they liked top START runs of the show with the 3rd season!).
WKRP IN CINCINNATTI-- my #1 favorite sitcom (beating out even GET SMART!). These have never been seen complete in syndication, and the current versions are an abombination, where they actually REPLACED all the licensed music heard in the background with similar, "generic" music. BLASPHEMY!!! Also, it would be great if any VHS or DVD release had the episodes in the "correct" order. I was amazed when I realized years ago that my local station was running the reruns (for the most part) in a sequence which made MUCH more sense than when the network kept screwing up the show. There's a LOT of character development that flowed smoother and made much more sense in syndication than it ever did on CBS.
Oh yes-- and I'd make sure to include all 6 seasons-- the 2 "revival" seasons (from 9 years later) as well. I'd never seen a revival that was so absolutely "right" when it came to the look, feel, character, writing, etc. Even though only 3 of the regulars came back (the same 3 characters who clearly could never find jobs elsewhere!), and even though 9 years had passed, it looked and felt as if the show had never gone off the air at all. I also loved several of the characters in the "NEW" WKRP, especially "Mona Loveland" (Tawni Kitaen) and "Nancy Braithwaite" (who turned up about 10 episodes in).
It's SILLY that the 2 newer seasons have never been syndicated together with the original 4.

I got STAR TREK (original) Season 2 last night, and totally GEEKED OUT!! This one has some of my favorite eps-- MIRROR MIRROR, THE APPLE, THE DEADLY YEARS, AMOK TIME, CATSPAW, BY ANY OTHER NAME, GAMESTERS OF TRISKELLION, I MUDD, TROUBLE WITH TRIBBLES... *mad geeky gleeful titter*
Still have to get Season 1 (they were sold out or I wuld have started there-- Yeah, I'm way behind) and Season 3. But I'm gonna savor the rest of Season 2 for a while!

Oh, and I'd definitely be interested in a DARIA dvd collection (despite also having them all on tape) to go along with THE STATE and JOSIE & THE PUSSYCATS sets. MTV is really missing the boat here, says I, with the lack of DARIA and THE STATE.
And after last night, put me down as requesting a DRAWN TOGETHER collection, which I am certain we will get.

Is there a "Dobie Gillis" boxed set out there? I loved that show when I was a kid. One summer a local channel ran that, "Gidget," "The Flying Nun," "My Favorite Martian," and maybe "The Patty Duke" show every afternoon. I miss the days before TVLand and Nick at Nite became the sole repository for old shows especially since they started in with stuff from the 80's.

They should have skipped STAR TREK's 3rd season and gone straight to the 4th. Yeah, I know... Gene Roddenberry claimed he didn't think the 22 cartoons were part of the "official" canon, but I say that's nonsense. Especially as a number of the cartoons were BETTER-WRITTEN than most of the 3rd-season episodes! (And let's not forget, the infamous "holodeck" made its debut in of the of the later 'toons.)

Is there a BIONIC WOMAN SEASON ONE DVD set yet? I loved that show when I was a kid, but it might cheese me out now.
I'd also love to see that 80's short-lived remake of DARK SHADOWS on DVD.
There's also that short-lived SPIDER WOMAN cartoon from the 80's. That'd be cool.
Even though I hated that it departed so much from the comic, the BIRDS OF PREY series would be fun on DVD, if for nothing else, the Black Canary episode.
Also, the FOX show PROFIT from the mid 90's. Such a dark, cool show.

I definitely want the Star Trek: Animated Series on DVD.
Anyone else remember these?
The Planet of the Apes animated series from the 1970s. You guessed it... another Filmation product.
And from the 1980s, the Saturday morning Flash Gordon show ... it really carried over the feel of the old serials ....

Never saw the Flash Gordon, but I rather liked the first two shows you mention.
The Apes series had an interesting feel about it, and incorporated some good bits from the movies, particularly in the subplot around the missing third (female) astronaut.
