There's so many great cancelled shows not airing regularly it drives me nuts! I'd love to see some of these shows make it to dvd over classics like 'Futurama' or 'M*A*S*H' that have been getting dvd-treatment for a while now. I mean, these are great shows, but when their reruns are aired incessantly, what's the point?

Some cancelled shows that I never see on TV that need to be on DVD NOW:

-Comedy Centrals's hilarious "Strip Mall". There aren't enough Russian Porn-mongers or large Asian lesbians on TV these days...

-One of my all time favorite shows: David E Kelly's "Picket Fences". This show had it all! It could be described as a cop drama, a court drama or even a comedy. I was *totally* addicted to this
show and have suffered bitterly since F/X stopped airing reruns.

-This one's kind of out of left field, but I would love to see a boxed set of that old 'Carol Burnett' spinoff "Mama's Family". I grew up with this show and it always reminds me warmly of growing up in a vaguely 'white trash' mid-southern family. Now the only time I can catch this show is a like three in the morning...

Any other long-missing shows that need to be dvd archived?

I'd like to see a decent MASH boxed set. And Dark Shadows.

The State, the comedy show that used to air on MTV, with some of the guys from Reno: 911 on it. One of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

(If there actually *is* a DVD set for this, let me know!)

I was also a huge KIDS IN THE HALL fan and was happy to see their first season come out.

I really don't know HOW I'm ever going to get around to getting all the DVD sets I want...

I guess with these boxed sets, DVDs have secured their place as heir apparent to VHS for many years to come.

I know nobody's gonna pick this one, but I'd *love* to see ROUTE 66 get the DVD treatment.

Here's the only one I can think of right now but that doesn't mean I don't have others.

Samurai Pizza Cats the hilarious anime about crime-fighting cats that work in their own Pizza Parlor. One of the oddest parts was that they were always fired out of a giant gun ontop of their place for transportation. They fought Ninja Crows & robots.

I'd like to see Night Court make it to DVD boxed sets.

But the one boxed set I'd *kill* to see released is:

A South Park Seasons 2-4 supplementary set.

I bought every South Park DVD they came out with before they were releasing them in season sets. So I have, in individual DVDs, all of season 1, all but two episodes of season 2, a third of season 3 and half of season 4. I'd love to own the entire series...but I don't want to pay for a full season set when I have so much of it already. I feel like they're punishing the fans who bought loyally.

Please, Paramount, throw us long-time fans a bone! Give us a DVD set containing what we couldn't get before! Then, starting season 5, we'll happily buy the season sets, as this represents all-new material for us. (Except for one season 5 ep that made it onto those other DVDs, but to pay for just one episode we already own, we won't mind.)

Here's one that should have been on my list, seeing how I'm a fan of alternate reality: Sliders.

And on August 3rd, the first two seasons will be released as a 'duel-dimension' edtion with both seasons in one boxed set.

And if you want a good site for latest release news, easter eggs, articles and reviews visit http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php.

They even have their news section broken down into Region 1 (US), Region 2 (UK) and Region 4 (Australia).

I watched Sliders from beginning to end but it went downhill after Arturo was killed off. Then they lost Wade which was unfortunate because Sabrina could act circles around Kari. When Colin appeared it was going uphill again but then when all the original cast except for Rembrandt was gone it just wasn't the same.

Yeah, the later seasons just didn't have the impact of the original 3 or 4.

Not quite the same as in Exiles but then comics handle the medium of alternate reality better than TV does I guess.

I wouldn't mind seeing that Chris Carter show, "Space: Above and Beyond" in a DVD set. It was a pretty good show. I never got into it when it was originally on, but I found it in reruns on SciFi Channel. I think "Enterprise" should've taken a page from their book if they wanted to make a break from the standard "Star Trek" formula. (I suppose they did actually this past season, making it more militaristic, so ok -- they should've taken five pages...)

Oh, yes (even thought i've only seen one episode)! But it better have both the japanese and english dubs. Backstory: When the show was brought over to america, the writers, instead of translating the original, completely ditched the original script and created their own.

Since we're killing and all...

There was a cartoon, similar to Robotech some years ago, TECHNOMAN. It ran for a season, then it disappeared. A box set of that show would make me smile

Just spouting off.
