I'll keep this spoiler free...
If the movie is anywhere near faithful to the book (and I believe this is the case), then I'm expecting a very good movie.
It looks like I'm going to see it just after work on the 19th.

i got the EPISODE III soundtrack today !! and with it was a really cool DVD, with a 'greatest hits' slection of tracks, played out to images from all 6 films !! the track called 'HEROES FALL' features from EPISODE III and contains loads of scenes not featured in the trailers so far .... what's also really cool, is that all the tracks have introductions by IAN McDIARMID !!! the running time of all the tracks lasts for 70 minutes, and watching them play out this afternoon, made me feel really sad at the thought that, we've finally reached the end of this saga !! and for a film franchise that's been part of my life since i can pretty much remember, and also 'shaped' my thoughts and imagination over the years, made me want to shed a tear finally ..... it made me even more excited about seeing the film next week !!! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US, FOREVER Matthew.

Just curious - did you catch "Clone Wars" on Cartoon Network (or read any of the novels or comics for that matter)? I thought the toon was pretty nifty (if a tad lacking in heart). I think the thing that's been lacking is Han Solo - or at least someone like him. He brought some friggin levity to the situation, some sense of *fun*. Everyone else is just takes it too seriously. Not that I know anything, but I read (not on the net) that Spielberg helped plan out a couple of sequences rather than outright direct them, but that's just what i've read... (although SS is pretty thorough when he plans stuff)

I'll be watching about the same time, if possible (haven't gotten tix yet, don't know what my sked will look like. But I got to see AOTC in a nearly empty theater 3 years ago).

I was watching tv today and Burger King had a commercial for Star Wars toys in their Kids Meal. Here's a list: Assortment 1: Han Solo Millenium Falcon Jabba the Hutt Wicket Luke Skywalker Darth Vader Assortment 2: Yoda X-Wing Fighter R2-D2 Chewbacca Darth Maul Darth Vader Assortment 3: Emperor Palpatine Podracer Padme Amidala Jawa Obi-Wan Kenobi Darth Vader Assoertment 4: General Grievous Jedi Starfighter Jar Jar Binks Boga Princess Leia Organa Darth Vader Assortment 5: Clone Trooper Darth Vader's TIE Fighter Boba Fett Wampa C-3PO Darth Vader Assortment 6: Watto Landspeeder Battle Droid Tarfful Mace Windu Darth Vader I just thought I'd give people the heads-up if they wanted to get them. I'd collect them myself but there aren't any Burger King's here.

"Anakin Sleepwalker". Ouch. That's the headline of today's Life section in the Hartford Courant, as well as the author's general review of Christensen's performance in ROTS. Poor kid. They can't all be Sir Alec Guinness... remember how laughably bad Mark Hammill was in A New Hope, or TESB even?

I probalby won't be seeing it for a least a month or two. Anymore we generally wait for it to hit the local brew pub so no kids are allowed and we can kick back and have a good meal at the same time.

I'm ready. My favorite reviewer gave it an A-. So while she's occassionally given a good movie a low grade (Incredibles got a C+...the hell?), she's never in my experience given a bad movie a high grade.

I just got home from a midnight showing here in Melbourne! And while it suffered the usual problems (dialogue, plot hehehehehe), Sith was a eye-burster of a movie with some very very cool stuff to see. I found my jaw dropping open quite a few times, but won't launch into spoiler country until a few more of you have seen it... One comment tho - the imagery and action of Yoda's last fight... Excellent!

Well, I'm back from the premeire, and all I'm gonna say?
Episode III is very, very good. Not Empire good, but I would put it ahead of "Jedi".
