Years ago, some guy created the "science" of Musicology, which postulated that whatever song was #1 on your birthdate had some bearing on your life. His evidence: "Little Star" by the Elegants was #1 on Michael Jackson's birthday. This website is fun, but just as hokey.
To wit, my birth songs are:
"Blue Velvet" by Bobby Vinton (US)
"She Loves You" by the Beatles (UK)
"Not Responsible" by Helen Shapiro (AUS)
Any Beatles tune is a good sign to be born under. But neither it nor the schmaltzy "Blue Velvet" have anything to do with my life. I've never heard "Not Responsible," though the title sometimes feels all too relevant.
My Life Songs turned out to be
"Endless Love" by Diana Ross & Lionel Richie (US)
"Prince Charming" by Adam & the Ants (UK)
"You Drive Me Crazy" by Shakin' Stevens (AUS)
"Endless Love" -- blechh! The other two might be appropriate, depending on who you ask.
Musicology? I think I'll go back to reading tea leaves.
