Congrats Sharky!
My trainer is having me do more weight training than aerobics now, to lower my body fat percentage and build muscle.

About 2 1/2 weeks since starting back to work, and I'm down 10 lbs. At least something good is coming of this.

Hitting the wall the past week or so ... struggling to make time to go to the gym, and when I'm there, I'm watching the clock the whole time ... three weeks 'til summer vacation ... after that, making time can't be an excuse ...

Since the baby has been born I haven't been doing well at all. I'm trying, but only going to the gym like 1 or 2 days a week. I'm eating all kinds of crap. I'm trying to get it together but its hard. Working out and eating healthy is hard to do with limited sleep.

So, I have been saying that my starting weight was 299 lb., which is what it was when I started seeing the diet doctor. But when I recently saw my primary care doctor, he has my heaviest at 316 lbs. And my recent weigh-in has me at 205.6 lbs. So, I have lost 110.4 lbs. The diet doctor wants me to lose another 15 lbs.
Then I was on my way home, walking from the subway when a woman coming the other way stopped me and said "Can I ask you a question?" I said "sure" She said that she lives just down the street and has noticed me walking by and that I have lost a lot of weight. She wanted to know how I did it. So I told her "Diet & exercise." giving some specifics of my diet.
This isn't the first time someone I don't know has commented on my weight loss.

My heaviest was 296 lbs at the Dr. and by my scale.
I am now at 281 lbs. I want to cut at least 40 or so more pounds off. This has been in the last month or so that I have been proactive in trying.
Quis has met me and can attest that I am a big guy...regardless of weight, so around 230 - 240 range will be comfortable to me.

btw, this has been 90% diet, which is not the easiest thing to do when diabetic. Gotta start the excercise portion, then I'll get the up and down cycle going for a while.

Hit the 20 lb mark yesterday morning, but probably lost some ground with phenominal italian food yesterday.

It's been a very rough year for me for many reasons and I've done a great deal of stress-eating. I finally had enough and am back on Weight Watchers. I have to lose 40 pounds again, but at least I caught myself before it was all back. I know the right way to eat and exercise, even if I've ignored it for a while. I've done it before and I can do it again.

I changed the way I ate simply because my body just didn't seem to be working right. I always felt sick. I accepted this as the norm for 10 years before I decided I had had enough. So, I didn't go to a doctor or dietitian. I researched food. I figured if my health was worth changing my whole life over then I wanted to know as much as I could about the subject.

In the first week, I've lost five pounds! I've taken Hyvvie running (sort of, anyway) twice this week. I intend for that to become a regular routine. Now, I have to figure out how to get back to the gym. I had a disastrous session with a trainer several months ago. It's hard enough to get past my middle-school PE angst without that! It's a nice little neighborhood gym, but I have to find a way to make it work for me. It feels good to be posting to this thread again!

I think I fell off the wagon. Scale broke, and I lost my momentum. Gotta find it again.

Good going Rockhopper Lad. I've ben lucky with my trainers. The first one was ok. The second one was great. He encouraged but didn't act all drill sargent and was very sociable. Then he left to go back to school. My new trainer is also great.
Dev Em, you can do it.
