Whatever happened to those days I used to have 3000 calories based on beer alone.

I'm still a fat lump. I'm just here to make you all look good. I'm hoping to weigh in on my doctor's visit (routine) on Monday... I haven't been weighed since I left rehab, where they have scales to accomodate being in a 'chair. I don't think I'm steady enough to stand long enough on a standard doctor's scale. We'll see.

I sometimes wonder if I'll ever lose weight and keep it off! I go through spells where I'm doing so good, but then I hit a wall where I'm tempted and go back to the old eating habits and gain it all back, usually with interest... Why does food have to be so good?

Why does food have to be so good? Don't beat yourself up over it, Anthony. I, and I expect everyone on this thread, totally understand where you are. I've done very well with Weight Watchers, as have some of the other folks here, and others have done well with other plans. I know for me the time had to be right. I was inspired by a dear friend who is in his late 50s who lost over 100 pounds last year. Whatever you do, you have the love and support of your Legion World family. My good news today is while Hyvvie and I were out for our walk this morning, we jogged for one block. Eventually I hope we will do more of that. Hyvvie's not really big, so the vet said he shouldn't run more than three miles and I don't think I could either. Eventually I'd like to get up to where we both can do three miles. BTW, Hyvvie has lost seven pounds in the last six months. The vet told me he needed to lose weight also. When I brought him in for his six-month checkup a few weeks ago, she told me he was just about at the right weight!

Two more pounds off this week! Fifty-seven down and ten to go! This crowd will appreciate this! The first thing I thought of when I saw today's weight was "I now weigh the same as Ray Palmer!"

I've put off posting that I actually gained a pound this past week. I think I've more or less come to terms with it. I imagine just coming back to work from vacation and being both less active and more exhausted (2 weeks with my mother would put most people in an early grave) is the main culprit. Unlike most recent weekends, I slept most of the past weekened away, avoiding projects and errand running that keep me active.
It's a reminder that I need to get to the gym and start doing something regularly. I'm so damn cheap about some things that the hardest part about starting at the gym is writing the check for the membership fee.

Here I am, blurry, but 57 pounds slimmer than I was in February. Those are the 44-inch waist pants I wore when I started. The 38s I'm wearing now are getting loose!

All of you are an inspiration. As of this AM, I re-lost the pound I re-gained last week. It seems that every 10 pounds my weight loss slows down and flatten out for awhile. I am also now comfortably back into my 44-waist pants, which makes me very happy. I'm delighted to be where Rockhopper started out!

One more pound down! I've lost 58 with nine to go! My mother is coming to visit a week from Friday and we do plan to enjoy ourselves while she's here, "but not overdo it". So, my loss might get slowed down a little in early October, but I think it will be okay.

I have to share my latest discovery: Egg Beaters, prepared in Pam Cooking Spray and sprayed with a little I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray. You have scrambled eggs with one WW Point! Morningstar Farms Veggie Bacon is one Point for two strips, two for four. Eggs and "bacon" (I don't eat pork anyway) for just three Points! I love dieting in the 21st Century!

Egg Beaters are a great option. There are some nice things you can do with them too -- use them to make fritattas and stratas and such. I used to eat eggs regularly on the weekend, but have developed some sort of aversion to them, related to regularly getting an upset tummy after eating them (no, I don't think it was salmonella, they were thoroughly cooked). All the better from the dieting perspective. I am feeling very energized this week. After the post-vacation adjustments, I think I am back in the weight loss groove. My wife has also started Weight Watchers online. She seems to be having a harder time than I did getting into the groove with it, but from a selfish perspective it can only help me eat better. I need to find some way to be helpful and encouraging that she doesn't interpret as being bossy and meddling.

Sicker than a dog the last couple of days, really bad right now, but I had to weigh in. Lost three pounds since Tuesday so I hit my first mark. At 51 pounds lost since mid-May. Now to lose another 59 by SDCC next year.
Maybe if I nurse this fever a little longer I can lose another five pounds this weekend.

Yay, Scott!!! I'm very proud of you! Fifty pounds is a major achievement. Take care of yourself, though. Remember that your overall health is more important than weight loss at a time like this. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks guys.
Was real sick yesterday and actually wound up calling off this morning. Just woke up about 45 minutes ago. Lost another three pounds since Sunday. I'll be glad when I'm feeling better but I'll miss losing the extra weight.
1 more pound and I'm at the halfway mark.

Take care of youself, Scott! But you should be very proud. We are.
I reached the 25-pound mark yesterday, 1/4 of the way to where I want to be. I'm finally starting to feel lighter and more energetic. I walk faster, farther, etc., so hopefully that will be a positive feedback.

All right, DC! This morning, I weighed in at 177. I've lost sixty pounds since February. Put another way, I have dropped more than one quarter of my starting body weight! Seven to go! Of course, my vacation starts Friday and my mom will be here for two weeks. If I can maintain while she's here, that will be fine. I can finish up after she leaves.

Congrats to both DC and John! I'm striving to catch up with you John but I don't think I want to stay sick to do it. Caroline and I were talking last night about our weight loss and I got to thinking. We've lost enough to lose a grade school kid. Or Nicole Ritchie or one of the Olsen twins.

That's funny. A few more pounds and my friend who lost 100+ pounds last year and I together will have lost me!

You guys are doing so great! I'm sorry to say that I've been utterly and completely off the wagon for about a month now, and I'm afraid to go anywhere near a scale.

Well I bravely went back to WW this week after a one month absence. I gained back 2.5 lbs, but I hope to blitz that off this week and get back on track again.

OK, gang. I'm back. I have been in a wonderful relationship of co-habitation and bliss, so naturally we've both gained a bunch of weight. I need to lose at least 20 lbs.

I ran to work this morning -- 6 miles -- not enough strength left to drag my sweaty self to scales in the gym.
