Wow Lash, it's great that WW is working so well for you. Come on! Get into those 170's!!!!
While on vacation, I ate and drank pretty much the same as normal, but I was way more active. Swimming and snorkelling and generally playing in the ocean is quite a workout (which of course is rewarded with super-relaxing laying in the sun). We also took two major hikes, something I don't normally do very often.
I'm definitely going the right way with fitness, but now that I'm back home, I'll be kicking into a higher gear with healthy food and exercise. We took a lot of pictures on vacation, many with my shirt off, so I can look directly at what I want to remove from my body. Of course, it was hard to look at those other people on the beaches with their awesome physiques. I want to be like them! I do feel good about being tan. Not quite a fitness accomplishment, but it does help me with my self image and inspires me to work on continuing to improve.

Took a LONG walk today and jogged for part of it. My lunch wasn't the healthiest ever, but it was not a ton of food, either.

Due to circumstances, I was unable to make my weigh-in last week, and then I got all feeling like I deserved some treats. I didn't go too too crazy, just a few sweet Pepsis here (GAWD, they were good!), some shrimp fajitas there, and a little Olive Garden too... and didn't even really keep up with my points at all last week.
Today's weight: 183. Again.
So, in that 2-week period, I lost nothing but more importantly (especially considering my "treats") I didn't gain anything either.
But the "break" (along with LOTS of attention last weekend!) has revitalized my desire to get into the 170s, and I'm back on it full-force.
When I'm done eating today, I'll be a full 10 points under my daily allowance. Gonna try to do that-- or close to it-- all week.
I really, REALLY wanna hit 179 next week!

I've only lost two pounds even with all the exercising I've been doing, but I attribute that to gaining muscle. I know there's less fat on me.
However, I must say that this week, I've been really busy so I haven't been getting into the gym and I've had some very yummy food. Sure doesn't take much to follow the un-healthy lifestyle.
LAM, that picture is Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin made up to look like Dreamy and Star Boy. Yeah, I wish I could say I look like that. I mean, I don't hate the way I look, but now that I'm closing in on 40 years old, I'm finding it more difficult to take a great picture. When I was younger, I *loved* getting my picture taken.
.........sigh.....

SO since I rededicated myself this week and am anxious to reach the 170s, I've decided to forego WW's usual once-a-week weigh-in, and weighed this morning. 181! So VERY close!
My "official" weigh-in is Wednesday... 4 days to drop 2 more pounds... I'll check again maybe Monday...

So I did another little unofficial weigh-in this morning; still at 181. Stupid late-Saturday-night excursion to Taco Bell! Well, I subtracted it out of my weekly "bonus" points, and it wasn't enough to make me gain, but I haven't lost anymore other than the 2 pounds.
It's looking like the 170s will elude me again this week, unless I drop 2 more pounds by Wednesday morning. I'll hold out hope; I was good today and I'll be good tomorrow, we'll see what happens!
Meanwhile, I'm wearing jeans and shirts I haven't worn in a few years!

We had a "Biggest Loser" contest at my old job (I just moved to Tampa a couple weeks ago). I came in second place. I've lost 20 pounds but still want to lose about 20 more.
Touch the magic...

Congrats Matt!
Today was the real-deal weigh-in:
179! I DID IT!
That's 28 pounds lost since early January, and that's officially the lowest I've been in years! Goal for next week: 177, 30 pounds lost.
When I reach 174, my daily points drop by 2. Eeeep!
Jillikers! Do I dare dream of the 160s? That'll be, like, High-School size!
EDIT to add: Now that the apprehension of reaching 179 is over, I'll be returning to proper once-a-week weigh-ins, so... see ya next week!

Today's weight: 178
So I didn't hit my 177 goal, but I can hardly complain about losing 29 pounds in just under 3 months; and weighing one-seventy-anything is pure joy!

Geez, I need to call Weight Watchers!
I've been working WAY too much lately, so I've been REALLY tired and the workouts slacked off. But today, I lifted free weights and did yoga along with a dvd we have. It was pretty hard.
I realize that I'm going to have to really eat super healthy to actually lose fat and do tons of cardio exercise. It's just that the weight training feels so good. I'm just afraid I'm going to get more muscular and still have body fat, so I end up just...beefy. I'd rather be slim and toned...
sigh

Dean, I've actually been feeling REALLY good-- been eating more veggies than I ever have (they're low in points).
Green beans, mushrooms, peas, carrots, corn, okra, pinto beans, northern beans, zuchinni, lima beans etc. I just buy 'em canned and spice 'em up with pepper or fat-free butter spray. Yum!
Been drinking V-8 regularly. Once you acquire a taste for it, it's delicious. Loaded with vitamins (and sodium, so beware).
Fast-foodwise, I'm pretty much sticking to Subway's turkey breast & ham sandwich and Taco Bell. Wendy's chicken BLT salad and chili are also low in points.
I'm in my 13th week of this now; it's the easiest diet I've ever been on. Actually, I don't consider it a diet anymore, it's just the way life has to be for me.
Plus they give you plenty of cheat room, and I'm the first to admit I haven't been 100% faithful to the plan. But I've easily been 90% faithful. The results are undeniable. I'm wearing clothes I figured I'd never wear again.

It's way late on Wed night for me (early Thur am), but today around noon, I did my regular workout.
I've figured out that I really need to eat WAY better if I expect more weight loss results, but the regular exercise is really good for me since I seem to keep eating the junk I wanna eat. Lash's WW testimony has me really curious/interested though.....

Yesterday, I did 20 minutes on the ellyptical and did pushups and crunches and some stretching.
Then, I went to the Safeway deli and got 4 fried chicken drumsticks, a medium order of chow mein, a Coke and a box of cookies, from which I ate 2. I was stuffed, so I skipped dinner. Went to work, made plans with friends to go out to karaoke (see my "Judge Your Karaoke Performance" thread), so I knew there'd be drinking. Ate a mixed greens salad and drank some red wine. Got the bar, and over the next couple of hours drank about 5 Bud Lights.
Made the 20 minutes on the ellyptical seem like a waste of time, but I keep telling myself that it's better to do those 20 minutes, then go pig out, than not doing the 20 minutes and then pig out.
I just shouldn't pig out. But I can't NOT somehow!!!!
Today, I don't plan on going to the gym, but I plan on doing yoga with a dvd.

I haven't gone to the gym since I last posted. The food intake has been what I'd call "normal" with a slight increase in convenience food because the kids are home for spring break.
Congratulations to Lash!

I'm about 177.
Thurs and Fri I walked 2.39 miles (3.2 miler per hour at 45 minutes) on the treadmill. Will repeat today. Figured it was past time to add excercise to the diet mix.

Did my regular gym thing today. Just keeping track. I'm going to the gym again tomorrow, and will do that weight lifting class. It's always pretty challenging.
