I had Haagen Dazs' Banana's Foster last night. It's not on the diet, that's for sure, but well worth the guilt the next morning. It might even replace Dulce de Leche as my favorite.

This week alone I've walked 12 miles, possibly more. Legs and butt are looking hot!
I'm shaping up but I still weigh more than I want to.

Since January I've dropped from 190 to 170 pounds, and have recently managed to dip down to 167. My abs and chest are starting to firm up too, though the abs aren't visible yet. My "diet" is really just eating less and cutting down on junk food, carbs and fatty foods like some kinds of meat - but it's not easy, because my campus is surrounded by fast food joints.

I was stuck at 243 and now i got down to 241. Took a month and a half. I am going to a big drunken pool party tommorrow so thankfully i lost some more. Sadly my arms are much smaller. Look like spaghetti now. But ohwell I need to lose weight. I am trying to eat healthy and not cut my calories down too low. But in the past that is what always worked and my arms are getting skinny anyways. I am thinking after this long weekend start cutting to lower calories. ohwell. Good job you all.

Clocked over 15 miles last week. And 7 between yesterday and today, so this week I'm gonna shoot for 20.
Saw an acquaintance over the weekend who commented on my "weight loss". I delighted in informing him I had gained 15 pounds since he had last seen me. When he replied that I didn't look all pudgy anymore, I resisted the urge to smash a pie in his face and ignored him for the rest of the night!

4 miles today, but I split it over 2 separate walks. That brings my total for the week to 11 miles(I count my weeks as starting on Monday)!

last week's miles: Monday- 3.5, Tuesday- 3.5, Wednesday- 4, Thursday- 1.3, Friday- 3, Saturday- 2. Didn't walk Sunday so my total was only 17.3 miles. CURSES!
Today: 2.5 miles.

So as I stated above since I've been stuck at 243 for a long time I've cut my calories after 4th of July. I was not eating about 5 hours before bedtime...now I'm not eating 8 hours before bedtime (except weekends). Down to 239! I've done it for two weeks and I noticed I am not really cutting calories just eating more in a shorter time. I've noticed my arms aren't as skinny anymore. Why? While my calories are a bit lower a day (about 400 calories) I've tried to keep my protein very high. As in never lower than a 170 grams but usually about 240 grams a day. So most my calories are from protein. Carbs? Beans man. I love beans (being cuban and all) so I ate a can of beans atleast twice a day. ofcourse this weekend I boozed and pigged out all weekend so I gotta get back to my schedule. Rum tasting party with all you can drink and eat on sunday didn't help. doh! But I gotta live man! I gotta live.

I lost 9 pounds over the weekend. I've been worried about something and had no appetite. I didn't eat at all on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I don't recommend that as a healthy diet.

Monday- 5
Tuesday- 1 (sue me; it was raining)
Wednesday- 5
Thursday- 2
Friday- 2.5
Saturday- 1.5 (I was running late for karaoke)
Sunday- 2
Total: 19 miles; inching ever-closer to 20!

Ive never actually looked at this thread before, and was slightly surprised to find that the posters were all men! So Im not alone then! Ah Well....So, Anyway, In an Attempt to Lose Weight Ive been walking to and From School 3 Days a week...I think in all the walk is maybe 7 or 8 miles? I dont really know the Conversion rate between Miles and Kilometers so I wont bother....In any case its a long way Im considering giving up smoking aswell, but Im sure if I do Ill eat like theres no tomorow

Don't let my silence here fool you-- I've logged more walking and bikeriding miles than I ever would have believed possible and I'm seeing some fun results.
My Mom, who has never worked out a day in her life until I started this year, is down to 115 pounds! She was dieting too, though, and I'm just working with what Ive got.

But I am bound and determined not to hit 40 and be anything less than perfectly acceptable to myself... and since I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm never going to be a waif model, I'm shooting for the other direction... and having quite a bit of fun with it too! People begin to notice when you've got a rock-hard butt...
