The kids have been home all week for Mid-Winter break, so I haven't set aside alone time for myself. I like being with them! I've also been working EVERY night this week, so the combo of kids all day, work all night is keeping my metabolism moving!
Okay, MONDAY is the new starting point for work-outs! Yeah...MONDAY!!

Is that the "No-Sleep" program you've been following, Sketch?

I've taken the last two months off from working out. Strangely, I still find myself getting up at 5:45 each morning, but I enjoy the leisurely slide into my day. I've managed to keep my weight below 175, but I do notice a decrease in muscle tone. Anyway, my holiday is over and it's back to the early morning workouts starting on Monday.

I'll be back to my 11 am workouts on Monday!
Nice to "see" you here, Semi!
Yes, FC, I do often run on a "no sleep" regime. Not the healthiest lifestyle ever, but sometimes inevitable. Sigh.

I run a no sleep regime usually once a week. Last week I did it twice within 3 days and well...i felt like I was gonna die. Sleep is important. Sadly I work the graveyard shift for 8 hours/5 days a week. It can complicate things...but atleast I have more time to post!

Lost two more pounds. Eating small meals about 4 times a day. working out...and running twice a day. all this work for a few measly pounds. bah! Give me a beer and a big burger...i like being fat! Ok sorry...had a breakdown for a second.
Looking at chicks with six packs partying in Ibiza is good motivation. I shall do that now.

Interview with Jack LaLanne - still going strong at 88! He talks a lot about the importance of exercise, especially lifting weights. He's a very inspirational person. http://www.shareguide.com/LaLanne.html

Alright guys...since I started my big weight loss Feb 1. I've lost 20 lbs! Down to 250...and I was on a all you can eat cruise last week. Sadly I got sick the last day and I haven't really eaten much which explains why i didn't gain any weight pigging out on the cruise. So I went from 270 to 250...can't wait for 240! Under 240 is when things get really hard for me.

Well, fudge it all. I got back into the 190s again but I'm putting the breaks on that crap el pronto, and not just for vanity's sake. The doc says the blood pressure and cholesterol are too high and has given me until July to get 'em down some or he's putting me on medicine like an old man!!! BAH!!!
Weight (Sunday): 190.

A year after my divorse, I have lost 35 pounds. I want to get back down to less than 250 lbs. Before I started dating my ex, I was doing a lot of running races, I even had a marathon under my belt. I ballooned up to 310...now I'm at 275. Skinny me is looking good.

I've decided enough is enough already for me too. Last summer I went above and beyond the call and got in great shape in August. Unfortunately a new job and winter really set me back.
As of yesterday, I'm officially back, although I've been hemming and hawing a bit for awhile.
Yesterday: Ate healthy, run on treadmill at lunch, weightlifting after dinner.
Estimated today: Eat healthly, run on treadmill at lunch, weight-lift after dinner. I *must* complete this today and every day this week--a fresh, solid start has always done me well in the past.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, eat healthy for me means eating meat and vegetables and cutting back on the carb intake. That also means 'eating less', as in not taking a larger portion that I really need and not snacking all day. Per se, I don't really 'diet'

Doing good so far. Went out drinking last night though and feeling totally exhausted...just can't give that up yet Weight lifting is helping me get my upper body into tip-top shape, but I want to have a slim waste again. My goal is to have this by June.

I've been really bad about working out this year (since January). Most of it is due to laziness, but I think some of it had to do with Buster dying, and then getting Duncan (I still get up at 5:30 a.m., but Duncan takes a lot of attention in the morning.) I expect that once Duncan gets a little older and is trustyworthy (i.e., house-trained) I'll start up again. Nevertheless, I've not put on any weight. I still fluctuate between 173 and 175 (176 on a bad day).
I attribute my success in keeping the weight off to not drinking. (It's now been almost a year and a half since I had a drink.) But damn, sometimes I go home and think how nice it would be to have a martini or a Myers Dark rum and Coke. Argghhh, don't get me started ....

I've been steadily sit-upping, treadmilling, weight-pumping, toe-touching, and side-twirling! At this rate I'll be in college shape come July!
Have discontinued the usage of salt and am drinking a glass of wine nightly, when able! I hear that also helps blood pressure & cholesterol!
In fact, it's time to go work out now, so I'm outta heeeeere!

Work out time again... the scales say 190 still, but I can already tell a difference in my body shape... I tend to shape up quickly... gotta keep at it...

Quick 'net break before I go work out, then go out... I'm excited because I tried on a cute club shirt I couldn't have gotten away with last month, but now CAN get away with again! Yay!

And get away with it I did!
Now to go work out again-- I'm starting to look forward to it. WEIRD!!!
So has everyone else all given up and stuff? I'm afraid you'll have to add 10 minutes to your workout as punishment!!

Went to my doc's for the regular checkup and found that I hadn't put on weight since the last visit.
Which isn't necessarily a good thing, but it isn't a bad one, either.

I haven't been working out at all! Boo! I have had a lot of distractions this spring, but that's really an excuse. I haven't ballooned up more than normal, though, I'm just not doing anything to improve myself. I'm eating like a normal person, not too much but not strict or disciplined.
I wish I was working out regularly because I do have minor body aches that come just from everyday life and sleeping funny, etc. If I was stronger those wouldn't happen.
I cannot understand why the fitness lifestyle isn't more addictive (to me).
