I've been good so I'm celebrating with pizza tonight-- no salt will be added.
And I'll do the workout sometime after, so it'll be okay.

Given up? Man I running right when I wake up for about 20 minutes. Have a protein shake...an hour after workout for about an hour...then go jogging with friends or gf. Eating nothing but chicken&veggies twice a day...and 2 protein shakes a day. Getting about 200 to 230 grams of protein a day. I'm down to 245 (started at 270). Starting to see my abs and obliques...nice. Love handles and belly button area are still fat. I have about another 20lbs to lose...don't think I can lose more than that. Keep it up guys...i cheat on weekends (beer, chips/salsa...and restuarants) but go hardcore during the week. I'm going on another cruise in June...gotta look good.

Lash, I've noticed the major reduction in salt has helped show my abs more. I was retaining water like crazy. I am taking Cranberry supplement which helps reduce retention. Use potassium to cook and parsley (also helps negate retention). The gay guys at the gym are masters at the six pack...they suggested the cranberry and parsley. Also told me to rub Prep H on my gut and love handles...haven't gone that crazy just yet. They also suggested I go to the suana more often to sweat out the retention...not sure if that was them hitting on me or being serious. But yes sweating helps! I don't have time for the suana sadly...barely have time to work out. For you guys that like diet soda...check out Diet Rite. NO sodium, or calories, etc.

Working out going extremely well so far. Like Lash, I tend to shape up fast and get in decent ‘going out’ shape, but it’s pushing myself to get back to EXCELLENT shape that’s hard.
Already starting to get slim again and muscular up top. Dieting is going good – it’s more cutting back ‘how much’ I eat than really what I eat. All I can say is cottage cheese is a Godsend and is the perfect way to get a quick snack without eating a lot and actually being fulfilled.
Missed my lunch run yesterday, but worked out with weights at night.
Got a nice compliment that I’m looking ‘svelt’ (whatever the heck that means!) at the bar on Saturday. Moving along nicely, but really want to get back to where I was at the end of August last year, which was the thinnest I’ve been since sophomore year in college.
Keep it up, guys!

You're lookin' slim, Lash! I need to take a new pic of myself and upload, I think. Especially when I'm at a slim/muscular period

Well, the scale STILL reads 190, but I'm not stressing over it because I can tell a difference in how my clothes look & feel. I know some flab has converted to muscle, I can see it. So FEH to 190.
I've already worked out today and tanned, I'd like to get all cute-ed up and go out but A. It's storming outside and B. I have to work tomorrow.
Maybe I'll go anyway!

Oh, and Jorg, I'm drinking a Diet Rite as I type this! Pretty good and as much as I drink diet soda this should help drastically reduce my sodium intake! Also, it's caffiene free, another plus!
I tried Diet Pepsi w/ Lime, and it's good too! I think I like it better than Diet Coke w/ Lime.

I've tried the cola, raspberry, peach, and kiwi-strawberry. Raspberry is my favorite.

Well, I'm still plugging right along with my daily workout deal, and the scale is *finally* starting to move downward... I knew it had to happen sooner or later.
today's weight: 188

I wish I could find a diet drink that I like. I'm a pepsiholic.
I don't care for Diet Rite. Has anyone tried Pepsi One? I don't like Diet Pepsi.
Touch the magic...

I love Diet Pepsi, Danny, so I guess I'm not very helpful. Have you tried Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper? It's pretty good.
I decided the reason I wasn't losing weight fast is because I'm not eating diet-like enough! So I bought some salad fixings! It's salad all weekend for me!

Well, seein' as to how I'm sorta stuck around the 173-175 range, I'm joining a group just starting up at our church.
It's a Bible study to help promote weight loss and healthier living.
Not real sure how well that's gonna work, but I'll give it a shot. It starts at 6:00 on Monday nights, so maybe they just guilt you in to missing Monday's supper?

I've been stuck at 243 for a while. I don't want to eat less calories than i am right now. So i added more cardio...20 minutes before bed. It's worked i've dropped a couple pounds already. Sadly i'm doing about an hour of cardio a day and my body is feeling it. My knees and lower back ache (i've never had a problem with those body parts before). I guess my body is trying to tell me i am turning 30 soon.

I had "picked up" a little over the last month, and have gone back to the tried and true no bread, sugar, alcohol, etc...and I'm back down to 174. Wanna take off about 10 more, since the summer months are upon us and it's too hot for ponchos. :-)

Well, I'm finally getting the mindset back, that I have to work out if I want to be slimmer. In fact, that's really my only goal for now. Less tummy. I bought 2 new pairs of pants, 34' waist and they're pretty tight right there. Kinda hurts my stomach by the end of the night, so rather than buy a smaller size, I intend on slimming in order to fit them.
First of all with food, I've begun being disciplined again. Only healthy, good choices. I won't give up lattes yet, though. I like 'em strong and made from 2% milk, not nonfat.
Today (Thurs), I did a couple of sets of freeweights just for my arms. That was it. I plan on going into the gym again, regularly, and do the familiar exercises that have been effective in the past. I feel better even just thinking about wanting to incorporate this stuff into my lifestyle!
