You would think that if Garth can use Jans powers he would spend all his time trying to figure out how to switch back from cystal to human form. If that is even possible. Maybe they are just going to make him the new Crystal Kid.

"Maybe they are just going to make him (Jarth) the new Crystal Kid. "
Funny you should say that - I was thinking that myself after I read #28. What worries me is what has happened recently to the Acedemy/ Sub heroes lately: Shadow Lad getting offed and Night Girl in limbo with Rokk and Jasmin a couple. At least Polar Boy and Comet Queen are in one piece.

Don't forget Stone Boy is now a combination of Stone Boy/Blok. Or so we were told.

I didn't catch the Stone Boy/Blok metamorphisis anywhere - I'll have to go back and reread the last few issues (which supposedly also pictures Quislet somewhere, which I haven't found yet either.)
I was hoping Blok would be reincarnated as a new Blokade Boy!

Blok is supposedly one of the new Academy cadets. They never gave his name but the artist (Chris Batista) told one of the posters here (who was it?) that he was supposed to be a Blok/Stone Boy amalgam.

That sucks. I want Blok and Stone Boy back not a combination of the two. That just brings up to many bad memories of the horrible Widfire origin. As long as the character isn't named or fleshed out I will consider it not true.

Let's say that you get to travel back in time, and you end up meeting, oooohhh, maybe George Washington (pick your own famous person for other nations).
But, when you meet George, he is but a teen. And he's a fairly obnoxious one at that. What do you care? You know how everything's going to work out, so you might as well enjoy the opportunity.
Now let's say you get back to the present, and George comes to visit you a few years later. You're trying to get your homework done, but George keeps getting in the way when he's trying to help. You try to live your normal life, but all sorts of people are hassling you about George.
So, would you get irritated? Are events now more important to you than events then--since you knew what was going to happen?

Funny thing is, I think that's the new series coming out by Marvel, by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch!

Ultimate George Washington?!? Hehn... can't be any worse than any of the other "Ultimate" dreck... And if it were drawn by my Lord, I'm sure it would actually be quite heavenly!

I'd take him to the amusement park and let him be distracted by the water rides (Napoleon seemed to like them...) Y'know, I smell a sitcom -- make George college age, stick him in a dorm room with some uptight kid and you've got a hit!

Also, Lydda's still a little girl (Legends of the Legion mini), so we wouldn't want Rokk up on charges!

Night Girl appeared in the tryout issue and looked very grown up to me.

Yes, and also in Legionnaires 49 ad 52.
But in the Legends of the Legion mini, she and fellow Subs Porcupine Pete, Infectious Lass, Antennae Boy, Color Kid (a female this time!) and possibly Chlorophyll Kid all appeared as children. They weren't named, IIRC, but it was pretty obvious from their outfits and physical appearances that it was them.
Whew, talk about a double reboot!

They didn't capture Orion - he boom-tubed out of Cos' field (anyone else surprised how easily Cos held him, BTW?) I certainly was. If one well-trained Braalian can restrain someone with Superman-level strength, half a dozen of them could probably hold down Darkseid... Re: Superboy--I think Rokk's behavior is perfectly reasonable, given that Kon's actually going around dressing like Superman and causing mass riots and multiple deaths at this point. If Superboy expects to be treated like Superman Jr., then Cos has every right to expect him to act like it. Now of course in his other titles Kon's currently more mature than that, and the inconsistency's kind of annoying. But within the confines of this storyline, I don't think Cos is being weird about it. Much less understandable is the treatment of Garth. If they really think he's Jan, he should be doped to the gills in a holding cell; if they don't, what's the big deal? People get transformed or have their powers go dangerously haywire all the time in this book, and everyone always explains that "we still love you for who you are," or something to that effect. What makes Garth's case so different? The best explanation I can think of is that they're sure he's Jan, and they don't dare confront him about it or assault him in any way in case he suddenly remembers who he is and destroys the galaxy. But a hint or two would be nice...

Oh, that is nice! Somehow the Progenitor thinks he's Garth, and Imra discovered this when he let her read his mind... If this isn't what's going on, it's probably better than whatever DnA have actually cooked up...

I hope Imra has read Jarth's mind, discovered that he is the Progenitor and she's planning to team up with him and take over the universe. Then of course she'll have to be killed and/or turned into some hideous space monster like the omniphagos with a blond ponytail and Saturn earrings and flee into deep space with Jarth as her love slave/boy toy.
And the rest of the Legion lived happily ever after. The End.

Whoa. Interesting twists proposed here.
Now, would the real Garth be out there somewhere? I hope so!
