Yeah, that was easy enough to do with the right click. I've renamed my first one Romero and will probably name the next one Savini.

Mine was still downloading last night when I went to bed (or early this morning depending on your view). It said it had only 90 minutes left but had said that for at least 2 hours. Didn't get a chance to check it this morning when I left but I'm guessing it caused an error again just like it did the previous night.

Mine stalled overnight. I restarted it at lunchtime today. We'll see when I get home how it's doing.

I restarted it when I got home from work tonight. It stalled again 3 minutes in. Restarting again.

Finally home and my laptop was still running, no error screens and the updater was no where to be seen. So I started it up, got right in, logged out and nothing. I'm assuming that I'm all updated. Now to run the update they pushed through for CoV today. Another day shot with no playing.

Well, hopefully they don't nerf the bad guys down to using a wooden plank with a rusty nail driven through it.

I haven't been able to complete the download either. It keeps stalling for me as well. Think I've gotten maybe 56K of 1.6G as of this morning when I restarted it AGAIN! There really should be another option than that damn updater piece of crap! :crap:

Caroline posted this in the CoV thread and I've sent out e-mails/PMs to everyone but we have an event tonight on beta:
Attention Villains!
We are having a special beta event tonight to test Siren's Call and PvP. We hope all of you will join us! Here are the details…
Tonight from 8pm-10pm Central (6-8 Pacific, 9-11 Eastern, 7-9 Mountain), we plan to shut down the normal beta server temporarily and bring up another one. We’d like for all of you to log in and create either a Hero or a Villain... we need players on both sides!
After you create your new character, you’ll notice a couple of special guests in Mercy Island and Atlas Park. If you’re a Villain, you should talk to Ghost Widow, who will be stationed near Kalinda. If you’re a Hero, you’ll seek out Statesman in the area near Ms. Liberty. Ghost Widow and Statesman will grant you enough experience for level 25, as well as some Infamy/Influence to purchase enhancements and inspirations.
After speaking with Ghost Widow or Statesman, you will need to visit the trainer to level up (Arbiter Diaz in Mercy or Ms. Liberty in Atlas Park). Once you’re finished at the trainer, speak with Ghost Widow or Statesman again and select the “Take me to the fight!” option. This will teleport you to an instance of Siren's Call.
A few things to note:
1. None of your characters/progress will be saved on the new server. The purpose is for everyone to have fun while helping us gather data about Siren's Call and PvP. The additional server was wiped and prepped especially for tonight, and it will be wiped again afterward.
2. If you encounter any bugs during this event, please report them using /bug! Do not use /petition, as the GMs will be unable to get to you before it is over (plus, everything is going to be wiped anyway).
3. The regular server will be available again at the conclusion of this event.
Thanks everyone! We look forward to seeing you tonight and hope you have a great time.

Of course it would have to be on a Saturday. I didn't even get the message until just now (1:30am Sunday morning).

That's alright. You didn't miss much. The lag was so bad, it was impossible to enjoy.
Vee and I found each other and teamed up for a while, but we kept getting knocked out and finally gave up.
And thanks for the PM, Scott. I had been on the CoV board earlier in the evening and didn't see anything about it. I happened to hop on Legion World after watching a movie and raced to create a character before they closed at 11 EST. Luckily (in a relative sense), they expanded to 1 a.m. EST, but I didn't make it to midnight.

Anyway.. be back on probably mid November. I've got to get Doc up to 50. I want to play the Kheldians!!!!

I can understand that Doc. I stil haven't fully committed to being back full-time. But maybe now with both games it'll be worth it. Just don't be a stranger here.
As for the 'event'. Feh. The most poorly prepared, disorganized event I've ever been part of. Between the rubberbanding and the 5 levels-higher heroes with 45+ second holds it was no fun. It took forever to get to the arbiter to train up (and I think it should have been done like a respec so you didn't have to keep exiting the training screen) and even longer to get the SOs. I teamed up with Blue but had to quit about 30 minutes into the actual battle. It was giving me a migraine.
Does anyone know why the heroes were 5 levels higher? The boards say they were SKd but how? There shouldn't have been that many level 30's for them to SK too. And did anyone play a hero? I'm curious if the villains showed as higher too.

Apparently it was an automatic thing when you went into the zone. You registered level 30 even though you couldn't train to level 30. When I clicked on Vee, it said he was 30 -- and vice versa. Kinda makes you wonder why they just didn't let us train up to 30.
Though the way I was missing, even with the SO's, it didn't seem like an even fight, but all the 30 minions and heroes were registering white, not purple.

I couldn't even get anyone targeted long enough to find any of that out. I barely could tell the difference between the heroes and villains. I know they probably needed another stress test on the server but if they actually wanted to test the zone they should have limited it to an invite instead of an open free-for-all.

I didn't stay much longer than you did, Scott. The Villains did manage to win a battle or two, but it seems like the heroes had a lot more holds than we did, and that made the difference since I didn't have any breakfrees...
The lag made it all but impossible to do anything useful either.

You know, all inspirations were available at the stores but I didn't once think to get any. Hell, it was hard enough getting back 'in' after buy 10 enhancements at a time. Bet the smarter villains filled up their inspirations slots with breakfrees.

Not sure Ir eally care about any other PvP event other than tomorrow night for Statesman's invasion of the Rogue Isles. I just want the chance to beat the crap out of him...over and over...and over...and over again. I would die a happy camper if I could just do that

That would certainly add more fun to the game, and you know he's all about making the game more fun.

Damnnnnn....
I logged on as Fascination Y, my formerly uber healer.
His healing aura went from 414 to 270.
His heal other went from 815 to 515.
he's almost level 43.
I don't even want to know what kind of healing power a lower level healer is going to have...
This sucks big time.

Yeah, I just read up on that whole 'diversification' thing and it's the first change that I have a real problem with.
Strat's a damage dealer, that's what he's there for...

Well, after something like 700+ times trying to connect I finally got in and played Gung for a bit. He got a mission in Founders to hunt 35 Crey. The only Crey he could find were all conning purple (Gung is 33). So I decided to try it out and unbelievably he was able to take out 10, including 1 lt and 1 boss, before I got too tired to care and logged out. His build still seems to be holding up but I notice a lot more END usage.
