I just got my first new contact for Blue in
Pergrine Island. I went to her and she told
me I had to be level 40 for this mish.

If I have to wait until 40 to get any new
mishs, I'm going to be awfully sick of street
hunting by the time that I get to 40 ... I need
1.5 million to hit 40....

I've been seeing a lot of that in the DA/DM scrapper thread. At least four people have mentioned hitting 39 to get a new contact but not being able to get a mission until 40.

Winter Lords are still popping all over the place in Kings Row today. A good sized team makes great xp. Anyone want to work on leveling up some chars tonight? (Quiz made it from 10 to 13 in 2 hours since I got home today)

The strangest thing happened to me today on Virtue.

I had just logged in with Chuck to see about getting him leveled up a bit more, when I spotted a blue skinned, female named Shadow Lass! I tried to read her but couldn't get it to open (guess I was too far away) and then she disappeared.

Some time later, I ran across her again and said "Hello Legionnaire!" to which she replied "Hi Bouncing Boy! How are you?"

When I asked if she was a Legion fan, she said "Yes, as a matter, you may recognize my alts here on Virtue: Tasmia Mallor and Spark." Needles to say, I "knew" this was Caroline and decided she was role playing the Shadow Lass attitude. I replied "Of course, you probably know MY alts here as well, including Condo & Mysa." (I wasn't sure if Caroline remembered that "Vee" was "Chuck" ~ one of the pitfalls of having so many toons on CoH ) She replied, "Yes of course I do!" then added "Sorry, I need to go" and took off flying.

By this time, I was having serious doubts that this was Caroline because, even when role playing, Caroline is very sweet when you talk to her and Shadow Lass just didn't "feel" right. But how could someone else have, not only a Shadow Lass, but a Tasmia Mallor and Spark on Virtue and it not be Caroline? That's a very odd coincidence!

Never saw Shadow Lass again but later on, I ended up teamed with another player on a team of 8. At one point, he sent me a tell saying "BTW, we were talking earlier when I was playing my other char, Shadow Lass" I immediately replied "Caroline? Is that you?" and got a replied in the negative.

Needless to say I was a little freaked but played it off by saying that I had been talking with lots of others during the day and had confused him with someone else.

Isn't that odd? Our own Caroline has a doppleganger running around as Shadow Lass & Spark on Virtue!!! So keep your eyes open for them and don't get confused!

Ewwwwwww I am really creeped out now... On my other server I actually have a couple people who have similarly freaked me out, so this is just unnerving.... I play a char called Trooper SheWolf and logged one day to face Trooper HeWolf, a male version of myself that claimed to be my younger brother.

I anyone ever runs into 'me' and they are not sure if it is me or not, please feel free to ask probing questions that only me real me would know. You all know things about Scott and I and our cats and my parents that no stranger could fake. And please do not believe anything bad that an imposter says or does. Sorry this happened to you Vee.

Hey everyone just wanted to update you all on a few things. First off Ultra Boi (Rain Bow) registered here on LW this weekend as Ultra Boy's Boi so look for him to be joining us here. He's already got UB up into the teens on Virtue if I'm not mistaken!

Also on Virtue, SunBoy (Lar Gand on Infinity) is up to lvl 20! Grats! This Winter Lord event has really been a power leveling bonus for those that have participated. I know I've got many of my low level chars on both Virtue and Infinity up into the mid to upper teens, Seymour got Grev well up into 26, and Caroline has gotten her Ayla R - Spark up to 19 or 20 and Imra Ardeen' on Infinity up to 10 or higher! (I think today may be the last day of WL hunting so if you haven't taken advantage of it, you mihgt want to check it out.

Finally, over the weekend Caroline, Sunboy and I met a number of Legion fans. The one I mentioned above turned out to be a neat player and I've inducted her (his?) Shadow Lass into the Virtue SG. Shady will be joining us on Thurs if not sooner.

Caroline & SunBoy also spent a bit of time talikng to another char that was a big Legion fan and was very excited about creating a Legionniare in order to join us. He wanted to do a tanker and was thinking about Ferro but I also suggested Night Girl, Monstress, or Stone Boy as a Stone Tanker. Caroline can probably say more about how likely it is that he would be joining us also.

It's grown way out of my hands, but I still feel like the Legionnaires of Virtue SG is my baby. I envisioned it as a group for Legion fans. I'm sure it's not being done much (or if it is, not intentionally), but please be careful not to give the impression that people should have a Legion-based character to join. If they want to create one, that's great (heck, I started it with a couple), but if they're just a fan and not in an SG, whatever character they're using is welcome to join -- or both, of course. (Hence, we've got Rain Bow and Prism Lord, for example.)

I couldn't agree more Seymour (and don't forget Doc Nimbus! He was a great addition and we even figured out a back story for him so that he was related to Tas & Grev!). I think what happens though is that the Legion fans get excited about the possibility of actually creating a favorite Legionnaire and being able have them interact with other Legionnaires!

SunBoy is a great example because he gets so excited when he meets yet another of Vee's Legionnaires that he hadn't met before.

So I think they are the ones that start talking about what Legionnaire they could make, etc. I don't think I've ever heard anyone of us say that you must be a Legionniare char in order to be a part of the group.

Nor do we limit it to just one of any particular hero. Heck, if we did, I'd have to get rid of all Vee's Legionnaires 'cause I've sure monopolized the roster to a great extent. We've had more than one Wildfire, Polar Boy, Sunboy, now Tas & Spark (and oh yeah, I think the fan Caroline was talking to actually mentioned Jeckie as a possibility!) and I'm sure there are other duplicates I'm forgetting at the moment.

I've never heard anyone say it specifically, either, but when a lot of us do have Legion-based characters and we're talking to a potential newcomer who's seeing just them, it's just something to think about.

And how could I not metion Doc! Get that account reactivated, Doc. We miss you!

Hm, if Ultra Boi is up in his teens, Jade is now looking for a teammate for Positron's TF.

I'm just thrilled that one of my characters finally got SJ. It's an interesting and cool travel power, though it doesn't have the 'fire and forget' control that flight and speed have... gotta keep hitting that space bar.

After this weekend, more than one of mine can join you on Positron...take your pick!

Well I come down with a cold or slight flu so I decided to stay home rather than go out in this 30 degree weather we have. Played Jan on Infinity until the servers went down for regular maintenance. I suspect Winter Lords will be gone when they come back up. Oh well, it was fun and profitable for Vee's Legion while it lasted. I'll really need to go through all my char and see just how much I leveled everyone while this was going on. Only problem now is all my enhancementsd are in the red and I don't have contacts to buy from that will sell me the right level! Guess that's the price you pay for power leveling

I didn't exactly get the time to power level EAP but I did manage to go from 21 to over 2 1/2 bubbles into 24 with a couple of days of play. Did anyone ever get a full WL kill to themselves? Poe did, twice last night. In four kills during the 1 1/2 hours I played he earned just shy of 31,000 XP. You receive(d) 10,000 XP for a full kill.



He also spent all his hard earned cash (about 250K) on getting 25th lvl DOs.

The best I got was a little more than 2,700, when Vee and I took down a WL almost entirely by ourselves -- until someone else stumbled on it at the end. We had a couple like that at more than 2,000, but there were too many people playing in King's Row and some 40s, and even a 50, leeching XP.

So where were you stationed that you got so many all to yourself -- and how did you have enough endurance to do it -- megaslot Stamina? I'm impressed.

So did you buy DOs or SOs?

Awesome Scott! Wow! I was getting about 3500-4000 with a team of 4 just before the servcers went down. Had fun and was able to spend some time with Wildfire-X (I think that's UltraStar, who actually started the Infinity group for us way back when) whom we haven't seen in quite a while. He told me he got his Kara up to level 40

I cheated by beating up on lvl 5 WLs in Galaxy but only when no one else was around (for the solo kills). It was really quiet there last night, I counted only 6 or 7 heroes and 2 of them were over lvl 40 (so probably after the same thing as me, major XP). On my other kills I invited whatever low lvl heroes were around so they could share in the wealth.

My END has been a lot better since I got Stamina at 22 (which I immediately added my 2 slots from 23 to). But I also have Dark Consumption which is why I was glad no one else was around. That allowed me to leave the baby WLs alone and drain them when I needed END. I wound up only using it once each battle and a couple of presents and two blues. In all, though, I think each fight (the solo ones) lasted at least 10 minutes. 10 minutes of Poe just pounding away (in between being frozen solid or sliding on his ass constantly).

I only slotted DOs since that's all the Natural store in IP had. I thought SOs didn't become available until 30. Do they show up sooner?
