Hmm, I'm wondering if they'll have a problem with Shadow Yamamura. Her bio makes her an blending of two icons of Japanese horror -- Sadako Yamamura of the Ring franchise and Tomie of the horror manga series -- into an American setting.
If anyone spots that Olivia Honey is a fanfic knockoff, I don't think I'll ever get my jaw off the floor. (Elsie Flowers/Olivia Honey is a minor character from The Life and Loves of a She-Devil, I think I'm the only one who reads comics and knows that book that well.)

Speaking of Crey Industries, they seem to have taken an interest in my hubby. [/b] That's cool Seymour. I think I've seen that site before.
So when do the Crey become the main villains? At what level? I probably should try to get Gung up to that level at least since it was part of his background when I created him. [/b]Brickstown is where you start to meet the Crey on the streets, and that's really not safe for anyone under 30 ... and it's even problematic for Blue as almost everyone there is over 30. In the story arc that I picked up for him the other night he started to meet the Crey, and the mish I had to do to get 30+ soS for Blue involved going into a Crey facility and facing them. So 30 is the number, big guy! We better get cracking!

Okay. I just logged on and I still had all my characters. I do feel like lying low for a while though ... I'm hopeful that Star and Andrew will escape the purge ...

Ok, all my guys are still there. I'm not really sure how much my characters will be in trouble, though. Porcupine Pete, Silver Slasher, Radiation Roy, and Chief Zendak aren't exactly well known characters. I don't think any of them evem made it into DC's Who's Who.
I might worry a little for Val Armor, but not too much. Recently I had him on Infinity when someon decided to do a "clone" contest - who had the best trademarked character. I got kicked out because no one knew who Val Armor was!
The only one I have any real worry about is Blok, who seems to have some recognition value. He was involved in the Legion during its most popular time, so he might get spotted. I now wish that I had named him something a bit different - Block maybe? Bloque? Bloc?

Just checked and all of mine are still there as well. With very few exceptions, I don't really use recognizable codenames. One thing I migh suggest is that you go into your ID "card" and modify your bio so that it deflects suspicion.
For example, even though we all know who Condo is, I doubt any of them would. Yet when I created him, I gave him a bio that reads ... Conan Doyle Arthur, Condo for short, yada yada yada....
If they bio is not character specific you can always argue that it's a mere coincindence in the name being similar.

Well, I got Val up to lvl 10 tonight, so he'll be ready for the Positron TF soon.
I also decided to get started on a backup plan in case my obscure Legion characters get deleted. So brand new to the Triumph server is Mahatma Ghandi!! a natural empathy defender. He can be part of a new supergroup of heroes - Heroes of History!!
I think he turned out pretty interesting looking. I was so excited I immediately made two more chars - Teddy Roosevelt & Moses - but both names were already taken!?!?!?!? Oh well, I guess it just means I need to get more sleep.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find any president not already taken. I saw just about one of each during the election season on every server. But I like the Heroes of History thing SLK. Now I'll have to think of someone I'd really like to do. I didn't get a chance last night to log in since it took me most of the night to get my network running again that seemed to have stopped for no reason. I'm sure most of our characters will be okay but we just have to realize the GMs are taking more notice when we play them. Maybe if we avoid any police drones we'll be safe.

Just figured out who I want to do for Heroes of History. Edgar Allan Poe. Maybe I'll make him a Dark Melee/Dark Armor scrapper.
So, what server?

I haven't checked my characters yet, but I think Doc Nimbus would be safe... I'd worry more about Conner Kent....
HoH sounds cool... Dibs on Charlemagne!

You could do Louis Lamour. So, what server? We can't do it on Triumph because its full (both Caroline's and mine). Any other suggestions?

Did anyone else see that the TOS was amended this month? It said that you couldn't have a characer with a name or appearance similar to a trademarked character or designed to resemble them either...

I'm going to toss out the idea of playing on Infinity tonight. Seymour, I know you said that you thought Princess was getting dangerously close to hitting 17, but I wonder if you could exemp her and still be able to play her? I'm actually kind of curious about what level difference there has to be to be exemped ... I'm reluctant to do Virtue tonight if we're going to be doing the TF this weekend as I don't want to get Andrew over 22 just yet. Though I suppose I might exemp him too ... I just want to get Star mutate already!

Infinity's fine. Princess is halfway to 17, so when she gets within a couple bubbles, I'll exemp her down. I know Beauty is looking forward to hitting 16 also, so I'd be glad to help.
I don't mind making extra money for her. More lvl 20 DOs when she does hit 17!

Tonight is id vs ego for me... my arm and hand have been hurting worse than usual this week so I should take it easy on the game but I want to get some Paragon City time in pretty bad. It doesn't really pertain to us, but have you seen the writeup on the Kheldians? http://www.cityofheroes.com/features_update5.html

THIS IS FROM THE RECENT UPDATES PAGE:
11.16.04
Game:
* Auto AFK: If there is no keyboard activity in 5 minutes, your character will automatically be set to AFK (“Away From Keyboard”). * Auto Logout: In order to improve lag and framerate for our players, we have instituted an Auto Logout feature for players who are not actively playing the game. After 18 minutes of inactivity you will hear a chime and receive a message that you will be auto logged out in 2 minutes. If you have not given any inputs to your character in those 2 minutes, you will hear a klaxon and the 30 second logout timer will begin. If you resume activity during those 20 minutes then the Auto Logout will be reset.
You will NOT Auto Logout under the following circumstances: o You are on a Mission Map. o You are on a Task Force.
Tasks:
* Tutorial: Fixed some color issues in Professor Hoffman's text. * Shadow Shard: Fixed some issues in Sgt. Goddard's text.
Game Stability:
* Fixed bugs causing mission maps to crash.

Infinity is fine with me for tonight. Did we decide on another server for the Heores of History? I had my hero already created on Triumph but he's only a three so I can reroll him somewhere else. I decided that this should be an international group of historical heroes so I delved into my spanish heritage and decided to create Rodrigo Diaz de Bivar commonly refered to as El Cid. (Curiously I wasn't able to use just El Cid as a name. Don't know if someone else already had it or if it is on a prohibited list so he ended up as Rodrigo El Cid.) I made him a broadsword/regen scrapper but I'm not sure he'll stay that way if I reroll him. (I just can't seem to get into playing scrappers or tankers ) I'll have to figure out how to justify a spanish knight in armor as a blaster
