You're not changing the file name to that in the folder. You are chaging the properties of the shortcut

Okay.
Figured that out, but it's downloading everything into the file rather than copying it, so I guess it'll be a while. 8-)

Okay. It's up and running. How do I import a character into it?

You have to go to the Character loader. Just a second.

Check out this link if you need to know how to set up the test server and this one for instructions on how to copy a live server character over.
If I wasn't working so damn late I'd be for trying it out!

Thanks to Mysa and Tas, Garth is now only 2,651 xp away from 21, less than 1 bubble to go! We did a Tsoo story arc for Mysa tonight then finished up the same arc for Garth. They really weren't that hard, I'm surprised.
I'm also surprised at how quick the xp does build up at this level.
So, I have to ask. What is the cap for the TF? I've forgotten and don't want to pass it before we have a chance to start it over.

And we got Tas to 19 and about 2 bubbles or more towards 20. Soon all of us will have our capes. Once the mission is fixed.

Cap is 21, so you've got some wiggle room. Way to go , guys!
The whole gang is back now, so maybe we should try it split up. Might be easier to organize. Who can play when? Unfortunately, I won't be available until later Sunday afternoon EST.

The cap is 21. Two teams might be the easiest way to do it, and it might go faster that way as well. I'm going to go see the Incredibles today, but I'm free after that. I was working on Blue yesterday, I'm two bubbls away from 29 and five slotted stamina! The story arcs do seem to be the best way to get xp if you ask me. Even by doing the mishs solo Blue was getting a lot. Right now he clears over 2000 in xp for every successful mish completion ... and I love doing those story arcs. Did you guys get any souvenirs? Blue has six.

Yeah the story arxs are fun. Althought they often don't make a great dea of sense unless you're actually reading the clues you get along the was.
Both Condo and Mysa are raring to go on the TF if eveyone else is ready. Anytime this weekend is fine for me.

Just ran into SLk on Virtue. He'll be offline for a bit but back a little later on and is ready to start up the TF again when he gets back. Told him we would decide on a time here.
He makes a good point about xp. Even though we did okay with everyone in one group, we will get much better xp if we split into two groups. And as Seymour said above, it will be much easier to schedule the times.
I think there are nine of us (10 counting Condo & Mysa) so what does everyone say to two groups of 5? Seymour can't do his until tomorrow PM so that would be the time for one group. Another could do it today.

Hi, guys.
I'm doing a mish with Blue right now. He's on his last bubble before 29. If I get a chance, I'll pop over and see if i can help. If not, good luck! 8-)

Whee.
Made it to 29 for Blue. And I got stamina 5 slotted now... One more level and he can get his 3rd costume and maybe an aura for that one. 8-)

Anyone have voice capability? My hubby can set it up so our server is a voice server, so we can talk to each other instead of typing everything out (though I hope Vee's voice isn't too deep, or that will totally ruin Mysa's mystique ).

I do have earphones & a mic but don't know what I need to do to talk over the computer.

There have been a number of active supergroups that have advertised that membership is contingent upon having a microphone. They are serious about their communicating instantly while on taskforces and during missions. I'd be a little hesitant at first, with the newness of it, and with getting to know everyone more intimately via their voice anyway, but I suppose I could get used to it. I mean, I didn't think I'd ever play computer games either...... hahahahahaha, we all know how that turned out

Blue's imploding supergroup got teamspeak, but we never actually got around to using it. At least I didn't. The first time I ran it, no one else had it on, and I could never get it to run thereafter. There's something weird about my PC setup, and it seems like COH is about all I can run at once without my computer slowing down to unusability.
But I'm willing to give it a shot. I do have a headset with a mike.

Oh one more thing about exemping, guys.
Scott, Caroline, do you remember how Blue was getting more in influence than you two were getting in xp/influence per kill? I found out why. I think I figured it out when we were playing, but I got confirmation when I was exemping my friend Temptation yesterday.
The debt relief or the influence is based on what you'd get for a kill at your level, not at what the person you're exemped to would get.
For example, I was doing a Sky Raiders mish with Temp exemped. For each kill I made of a level equal to me, I was getting 83 xp and 86 influence. Temp was getting around 300 points of debt relief because that's what she gets when she makes a kill equal to her level when she's not exemped.
Later on, we were doing one of her mishs with me sk'd to her. The baddies were equal to her level, and so I was getting 83 xp again while she was getting 300. When Blue leveled, he started getting 93 xp.
Just something potentially useful we should file away for when we want to work on some debt relief sometime. 8-)
So did the TF finish up last night?

Yes! Task Force Cyclone was a resounding success. We completed it last night in one sitting (with a short break of about 1/2 hour.) I wasn't paying close attention to the clock but I think it took approxiamtely 5 hours from start to finish. As Quislet would say "What fun!" I think all of us leveled at least once. Prism and Tas made it to lvl 20, Garth is now a lvl 21 and Pete is just shy of lvl 22 while Mysa achieved 22. And there wasn't a single death throughout the TF! After the TF we decided to try the cape mish to see if we could complete it while invisible. Nothing else has worked since it became bugged after the 11/3 patch. Unfortunate everyone but Prism died on the first attempt before we ran out of time. Second time was even more frustrating since it seemed like we only had about 2 minutes before the Mission failed. Arrrgh! We then decide to get visit ICON and get Prism & Tas new costumes. That went very well and they are now stunningly attired in outfits that will look awesome once they are able to get capes. So, what time do we want to start up the 2nd one? Condo's chomping at the bit because Mysa passed him in levels.

So who wants to be playing this second go around?
I do want to see Prism and Tas' new costumes even if they decide not to go it again. 8-)
