Have any of you ever heard of Fanzing ? It was an on-line DC Comiocs fanzine, and I used to write for it.

Some friends of mine from that fanzine have entered a creation of their own in a contest called Small Press Idol . The winner will have his/her/their creation featured in an anthology comic to be published by the company that's running the contest. I'm engaging in a get-out-the-vote effort to help them out. Of course, if you like any of the other entries better, you are free to vote for them.

The first three rounds of voting were based on the production of the cover pin-up (that's the first of the three images on each row in the page I just linked to) and the series concept (you can see those on the round 3 page .) This last round evaluates the first two story pages.

I've voted for and am pulling for the entry by Michael Hutchison and Phil Meadows. If any of you enjoyed Fanzing, you're probably familiar both with Michael's writing and Phil's art. Another Fanzing contributor who has an entry in this contest is Roz Terrill.

Please vote, whether you're willing to take an interest in the contest (in which case, vote for whichever entry most appeals to you) or whether you'd just be doing me a favor though you don't personally care (in which case, please vote for Michael and Phil's entry). IMPORTANT: Do not click the "Show Results" selection on the voting page before you have voted, because that will render you unable to vote!

Thank you all very much.
