Anyone else love this book it is my favorite Marvel title with Inhumans a close second thanks to Lash and Pov.

I really love Exiles but worry about the title when Austen takes over. Anyone else have any fear? Love it Hate it. Let's discuss the Exiles!!!

Mimic- is my favorite character but I am thinking he will leave along with Judd

Morph- also one of the originals very funny moments

Sunfire- The last issue with Spider-Girl was very touching

Sasquatch-A new twist on a classic and I love my second fave.

Magik-great to see her return and a total BITCH!

Nocturne-also an original and I think she will be the next leader!

I just placed my October order with DCBS-- and opted NOT to pre-order EXILES. Both 37 and 38 were solicited as having Austen writing. I'll give these a look-thru at the CBS when they come in, but I don't think I'll regret dropping this book now that Austen's apparently aboard for the long haul. tongue mad

I agree Pov if Auesten's on then I'm gone I will give it 2 issues though but his arc with the Uncanny team was horrid!!!

And it wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't really enjoy this book. The spotlight on Sasquatch last issue is a prime example of why I'll miss Judd on this book. He was able to really delve into the character and where she's from... in one issue. My favorite is still the Sunfire/Morph issue.

About the only gripe I have with Winick on this series is the way he wrote out Clarice. Boom, she's gone, Ilyanna's in, and they're off again. In my mind, though, I like to think Blink did her job and was sent to help Creed take care of those kids he stayed with... instead of just disappearing into the void of the former AoA reality...

I like your theroy on Blink also I see Hyperion will be joining the Weapon X (Exiles). Pov do you think Judd will take out Mimic before leaving?

I'm not sure about Mimic, but I've just got a feeling Nocturne won't be with the team much longer... I really don't have anything tangible to go on. It's just a hunch.

Well, I dropped the thing back at 22. Partly because it was at its best in the latter half of the first year, and (with a upward blip with 16/17) had been going downward from the first Weapon X two-parter onwards.

And part becuase I was utterly, utterly POed at Winick for killing off (in effect) Blink. Those pages of 21... Winick had forgotten all series that she could disrupt people/things as well as teleport, and (in a similar way to how he forgot all about Lilith's powers @ the end of GD2 I suppose) it really hurt the thing here having her beg when she could at the very least have stunned Forge long enough to get away...

...and the (pretty much literal) deus ex machina in 22 was horrible too.

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I got the latest issue -- part one of "Fantastic Voyage."

Things I liked: the fact that everything was very easy to pick up. The personalities were well delineated, with the possible exception of Nocturne, who didn't really do anything or use her power. The Exiles felt tangibly like a real team. The art was enjoyable.

I thought Winick's writing was fine, but it didn't blow me away -- which is the opinion I've always had of Judd. I'll probably get the next couple of issues in this story arc, and if I'm really liking things, look for some of the back issues.

I haven't had a chance to catch up on the last few issues. Hell, they've had what, 5 issues in 2 months? But Exiles is one of the few regular Marvel titles I read. I haven't decided if I'm going to drop it or not because of Austen but I'm not really caring for his writing so far.

I think I'm going to have to go back and get the back issues on this series. How about Weapon X, is that worth a read? And what characters are in that book?

And I also like the Nocturne character because I can vicariously and safely indulge my secret crush on Nightcrawler through her! wink

This is the one title that I have the patience to buy in TPB form - got all the released ones so far.

Was super-stunned and pretty annoyed when Blink 'bought it', and recent additions (Sasquatch and Magick) aren't doing it for me. Also, Mimic's new grouchy persona is a bit grating, but the new art team is pretty schmick.

Would also like to see a bit more backstory... and am I the only one that thinks that the 'Bad Havok' from the Exiles/X-Men crossover has taken over the Timekeeper?

Last I knew WEAPON X featured:
Sabretooth
Wild Child
Aurora
Domino
Boom Boom
Sauron
Maverick

If you're a fan of Alpha Flight (as I am) you'll doubtlessly not like this book, as it uses former Alphans as so much cannon fodder for the title's bloody plot-lines. But beyond that I guess the book insn't so bad. Nice art anyways.

I also predict Nocturne will be the new leader and we will see Angel or Wolverine as the new team member!

Hmmm... I better edit in some spoiler space....

I saw that twist coming with Mimic the second he mentioned living on an entire planet infested with Brood.

You're just NOT gonna do that for any length of time and not get an egg in ya!

I've enjoyed having Illyana back.

I've got to get caught up on this title. I still have September's 5 issues to read. The problem is where to find the box I packed them into.

So Lash will Mimic be the member to die?

Thanks Braalian! I also see Mr. Sinister is featured, one of my favorite X-baddies, from back in the day when he was a major player (hopefully we can see a return to that!).

I didn't buy it, but since I'd been spoiled already (and frankly ONLY because I'd been spoiled already), I flicked through it.

Mimic kills Mariko before he's cured. Morph is utterly, utterly incensed...

I may have to skip out of work early tomorrow just to pick this up! And did that just happen to Mimic's eye and is it permanent? I'm about 5 issues behind in catching up. Damn! And of course this would be the end of the Winnick stories.

Thanks SoM!

I spoiled it accidentally when I flipped through the book at the store -- which tends to happen much too often.

And even though I hardly know the characters, the death was still like a slap in the face... frown
