Getting the name was definitely a coup for Marvel, but it's always seems pretty skeezie. No book has ever REALLY succeeded for them under that name. Doubt this one will either.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

I'm mildly intrigued to see what her new costume will look like.
But I've pretty much lost interest in the character since her portrayal in Civil War. She's been dragged through the mud, hard.
When Emma-freaking-Frost can give you a righteous moral smackdown, you know you're at a low point...

Eh. Not loving the new costume. I kinda liked the visual of her old one. Change the swimsuit-and-high-boots to something with leggings, and it could be cool as it was.

I don't like the new look either. Too militaristic. (I don't care if her name is "Captain") I also liked the long hair - and don't tell me it's "more practical" because characters who engage in more close-quarters combat like the Black Widow (good for Frank Miller for trying to have it short) and Mockingbird and Elektra still have long hair.

That's just ugly. And so is some of that art.

Looks interesting pitch wise. Be interested to see how it pans out.
Costume is pretty good, definitely no worse than anything else she has had over the years.
Active LMB character is still Beast Boy.

Uh, what? Never complain about a stereotypical "feminine" trait that strains credibility-- unless you're ready to drop everything and give each and every one a full makeover? Please. The subject is this particular character, not every other female character out there. If I had to outline each and every thing about them that could stand to be redone, I'd be here for the remainder of the year. Actually, now that you mention it, I've always found Elektra's traditional look completely giggle-inducing. For a mortal woman who fights with swords and such to be exposing that much skin always was completely ridiculous. She too could stand a redo, as could the majority of female characters, actually.

The way I look at it is, these stories are not supposed to be realistic and I have no problem with the suspension of disbelief. So they fight and look gorgeous at the same time, big deal. Don't forget, too, that I was raised on "Charlie's Angels."

I mostly like her new look and chance at a new beginning. My favorite version of her was as Binary, but she was never used to any of her potential, imo. DnA might have done a good job with her, but I don't think that they had a chance with her. She wasn't in the Kings stories, anyway. I like the short hair, too, but I might have not used the red, yellow and blue combo since it looks a little like Wonder Woman's outfit before Flashpoint. Black, gold and red might have worked better, I think.
A singin' and a dancin' along the way.
