I thought that maybe my problem was the same as Reboots, caught in an infinite loop trying to log in, but his solution didn't work. So I tried Grey's solution, all lowercase and I finally got in. Not that it matters for anything. The place is still unreadable and an eyesore.

I can't believe that the largest media conglomerate in the world can't put up a decent MB. I can understand wanting to come up with their own software but come on. My cats can program better than that.

BTW - I just noticed: DC did NOT code this in-house!

They hired in a company called Jive Software

I did the stylesheeting too (fixing fonts and stuff as well). And it got edited away just as quickly.

What are reward points?

Reward points are a virtual currency users can use to encourage others to answer their questions. Topic authors can decide to assign a certain number of points to their question and then reward the best answer (or answers) with all (or some) of the points. Simple calculations are then done to compute the topic users (by reward point) in certain categories or overall. Reward point summaries are displayed in each user's profile page.

What are the rules for assigning and awarding points?

The author of a discussion topic can assign points to their question as an incentive for other members to respond. The author can choose to award the best responses to that question with all of the points or some. The points can be awarded all to a single user's response or partially awarded to several users' responses. Points awarded in the discussion topic are deducted from the points the author assigned to the topic. In addition, there are a few other rules:

Topic authors cannot assign points to themselves.
Users can remove the points assigned as long as there haven't been any replies to their question. This might be necessary if the author assigned the points in error.
Users can assign points to a question at a later time to encourage others to answer.

For 25 reward points: Can you spell "inherently pointless"?

And if you log in at the forum summary and not at a specific post, you don't get in a loop and stay logged in, at least while your browser is open.

So, these reward points. What can you "buy" with them? I see no point in pandering to a thread starter for them if they don't actually get you anything.

I think Reboot hit it on the head on this one...

I tried posting a reply and wound up in some bizarre dead-end where I was supposed to download some plug-in. This, just to post at a Message Board? SCREW that.

I opened my "Bookmarks" and DELETED the damned thing. A shame, after almost a year of getting less and less interested, the last 2 months at least there'd been some really nice discussions going on again. But more technical nonsense I don't need.

This is horrible. No letters pages because they want us to communicate with them on the MB and then the MBs get turned into some Bizarro version of the internet.

There are so many message boards out there that the company boards aren't really needed but it's been nice to know that, if for some reason I felt I had to, I could send a message to the Legion's editor and have a reasonable belief that it might eventually be read by him.

I can't even read that dark blue against light blue nonsense...and the font is illegible anyway so what's the point in even trying?

All lowercase Cobalt, all lower-case.

So type cobaltkid, not CobaltKid.

And see above for how to recolour the DCMBs

Everytime I ever try go there, I get so annoyed at all the problems, that I just get in a spamming kind of mood anyway, and risk getting banned.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, I'm never going back there.

Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

Maybe it's just my computer, but the fonts are TINY! I can hardly read anything over there without pressing my face up against the monitor.

I definitely don't see the DC Boards as becoming a regular stop for me.
