At least Superman has stopped crying for a few minutes this time. I mean, for the greatest hero of them all, he's been acting like a chemically induced mother of the bride the last ten crisises.

Big girls don't cry Actually, with his face in shadow, you can't really tell. He could be sobbing like an 11 year old girl at an NSync concert.

Well, in the spirit of "Countdown", I guess the next crisis will be "Penultimate Crisis."

Hey, this could be a great basis for a new mega-survivor game! "Who should survive Final Crisis?" Hmmm...

I liked Superman back when he was an emotional cripple. Once he started bawling on the cover of Crisis #8, he's been crying non-stop ever since--talk about opening the flood gates!

We should never forget that Superboy's crying once saved Shrinking Violet's life!

Unless I'm mistaken that's the original pre-crisis JLofA big 5 plus Katar.
The Final Crisis is precipitated when the six of them arrive at the DC office in our world and use Katar's mace on anyone that's worked in the editorial since 1985.

Don't worry. They won't kill Aquaman.
He might end up with a peg leg, though...

He might end up with a peg leg, though... Ummm..they already did, didn't they? But first they turned him into a squid so maybe that doesn't count.

Superman cried long before Crisis # 8 I just noticed and wonder if Crisis #8 was a homage to this cover.

He might end up with a peg leg, though... I was mainly referring to the fact that his former "Big 6" status didn't earn him a place on the poster with the other biggies.

I feel that all of the original Superfriends should have been on that poster. You don't get more legendary than the Superfriends...

Great story. And Jean's parents made the cover! A Marvel rarity!

It's an embarassing snapshot moment. What a story that was. Talk about getting in touch with your emotions!
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Has anyone else seen the other teaser image from DC titled "...and evil shall inherit the Earth"? It was in this week's CSN.

...looks like it's been posted over at Newsarama since early July. First time I've seen it though. DC\'s second Countdown image at Newsarama
