Hmmm... well, MAYBE I'm easy to please, but I've really enjoyed this Secret 6 arc, and haven't enjoyed a battle scene so much in I can't tell you when.
Barda rocks hearty!

That was a quick month! We got a new issue with a damn fine cover. And the resurrection wasn't undone.
Just spouting off.

I love Ice, she's so different from most heroines. I hope we get to see her in action soon.
What's Guy Gardner doing these days? I always hated them together, but I'm wondering what his reaction will be.

He's in outer space full-time, over in the (excellent) Green Lantern Corps book. Even when he vacations, it's not on Earth. I don't think it's likely those two will encounter each other anytime soon.

I just checked him out at Wikipedia. He's a lot more complicated than I thought from reading JLI. But that hair! It's horrible. He's in serious need of a makeover. Maybe Gail Simone could get a hold of him for a little while... I always liked the Green Lantern Corps back in the 80's, for the same reasons I like LSH, a expect. Maybe I'll check it out.

A Queer Eye for Guy issue would be the funniest thing EVER! The Pied Piper and recently outed G'nort will make him over? LOL.

Now that Ice is no longer on ice (ugh!), is she bound to become another bird of prey on Oracle's team or will she find her way back to JLA or to wherever Fire is. Where IS Fire anyway?
I don't quite understand the logic of her resurrection. Maybe I have to reread it. Could someone sum it up for my sleep deprived mind?
My favourite part of this latest issue was the Huntress/Catman repartee.
This version of Birds sans Black Canary is hard to get into. I thought I would enjoy the carousel of strong female heroes, but I miss the dynamics between Babs, Helena and Dinah that Gail took so long to build.

Birds of Prey #108 - possible spoiler
I loved this issue.
I particularly liked the spread of Barbara's friends. Although I was surprized to see Power Girl there.
Now I am showing my age in that I didn't recognize three of the people there. (actually four, but then through context, I recognized Shiva)
Who were the guy in the X mask and the woman in white next to him and who was the red-head behind Misfit?
Big Dog! Big Dog! Bow Wow Wow!

I don't know the first two you mentioned, but I'm pretty sure the red head behind misfit is Rose (of Rose and Thorn). She was in a Birds adventure not too long ago.
I'd love to know who the other two are, as well.
Oh, can anyone explain exactly why Babs and Power Girl don't get along? I must have missed this somewhere.

Babs tried her Birds thing with PG, but she sent her on a mission that Kara kinda failed at. Kara didn't forgive her for it so easily. (It's a bit more complicated but that's the gist.) I think it was seen around the 50s of the BoP series. PG tells Ted about it while he's recovering from his heart attack. And, I'm with you, Quis. I don't recognize those same people. I did like the rallying forces, though. And I kinda thought Power Girl might show as a sign of faith. Or maybe out of solidarity with her chairperson counterpart in the JLA. Personally, I was just thrilled that Click Here For A SpoilerBabs kicked ass, Nightwing and Catwoman showed-- the Green Arrows too, Shiva came of her own accord and Helena dropped Blake that note. I felt like it did a great job tying up the loose ends and it felt really... full. Very enjoyable for me. One thing that was a bummer, though, was that Click Here For A SpoilerSpy Smasher was gone so quick. I can understand wanting to go back to the former status quo for the new writer but... it seems like so much more could've been done with her. Anyway. Mostly good. I quite enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the issue, much like Cali. Seeing Babs engender such loyalty, even from PG, was awesome. And Dinah made it back for a bit.
The Spy Smasher plot ran it's full course I thought. One mission and already Huntress was fed up- sounds about right for her.
Gail did a great job with this book, as did Chuck before here. Sean McKeever has some big shoes to fill, but I've no doubt he can pull it off. Let's just hope DC editorial let's him write his book.
Just spouting off.

So that "Death of a New God" was a bit of a stretch, but Bedard delivered. DAMN HIM!
And Gail's fine work on the Secret Six is over. Catman will be lost to limbo after becoming such a great character.
As for the Birds in BOP, Dinah's back and arguing with Babs. This time it's a little more emotional, but not out of character for the ladies. I'm liking Tony's work.
Nicola drew another fine full page shot. She really is a great fit for this book.
Just spouting off.

Why do the male Arrow-heads find asian women so appealing that none of them can resist them? Even when the women are so clearly villainous (or should that be villainess?

It's still creepy to me that Shado would go near Connor since she was already with his father...granted, not as creepy as if she had been his mother. EEEEWWWWW!!!

A good issue, but I'm really disappointed that this is the end of the SECRET SIX. I guess I'll move the VILLAINS UNITED and SECRET SIX minis out of my ongoing comic boxes (I kept hoping for a regular series or another mini) and into my "keepers" boxes.
