I've seen that before, and I just have to say-- I -LOVE- the sheer emotion shown by Ororo, revelling in the storm. Fantastic. Someone needs to get this guy doing a line of posters, a la Alex Ross, if they're not gonna get him a steady gig on interiors somewhere. Having him do just covers is a marketing waste. Which would YOU rather do as a comic exec, sell more comics @$2.95, or posters for at least $7 a pop?

Ditto to what Pov said. I don't quite mind having so many Land covers every month...they're all beautiful...but poster-sized versions of many of his covers would be a treat and could only better revenue for Marvel!

And Scott, that Ororo cover is officially one of my favorite renditions of Storm ever. The emotion on her, as Pov points out, really steals this piece over any other cover for the September solicits.

Not just that. I think this is Land's best cover, period. I loved his work on Sojourn but nothing he did at CrossGen matches this. Like you have both mentioned, the emotion comes through so clearly in this one. This IS Storm. Alex Ross may do more life-like images but he has never captured emotion like this. It is just absolutely outstanding!

They are all showing for me. Sometime the images don't load all the way. Right click (assuming a Windows PC) and chose Show Image.

Those are mostly pretty good, but the Madeline Pryor one just seems like the usual Marvel pseudo-porn. I guess that way you can tell she's evil? Overall, the pinup style covers leave me a little non-plussed.

Land is continually amazing. Wow!

Madelyne is back in The End? Is this title good? Anyone picking it up?

Resurrecting another old thread (since I didn't want to start one just for Action Comics). I may buy this one, just for the cover:
