More giggles from Mr. DiDio, via Newsarama. I wonder if we'll ever see #6. It's just going to become an on-going joke and/or legend in comics.

Didn't anyone ask about Ambush Bug?

Nrama: We honestly only had one person ask about Ambush Bug, I think.

DiDio: I'll give you this one without wasting a question. I got a message directly from someone about Ambush Bug that was hilarious, and so I just want to tell everyone that I wish there was some exciting story about why there is not an Ambush Bug #6, but quite honestly, all the stories that everybody else is coming up with are much better than the truth. So please, keep coming up with your great suggestions on what happens in that book, because you're making me laugh, and Keith as well.

BleedingCool.com reports that DC will actually print an issue #7 and leave issue #6 unpublished. No word on the creative team for the new issue.

Did anyone pick up #7 yet? I haven't made it to the LCS, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the long-delayed finale.

Now I'm starting to think this long gap and skipping #6 was planned all along.

So I read # 7. Cute. Very cute.

Favorite part was Jonni DC as Blackest Night resurrectee and the fish missing his cue gag.

So... issue 7.

That just left me... a little sad? Not generally what I look for in a humor comic, but I suppose that, carrying through the "event parody" theme, it did hit all the notes of "Final Crisis": nigh incomprehensible plot, huge publishing delays, and a last minute substitute artist.

And, hey! It gave me a fairly awesome new sig line.

Going to have to reread that one. Liked it for the most part...not sure what the hell happened though.

I know this kinda goes against the wackiness that is Ambush Bug, but I think next time I'd actually like to see him in a beginning-middle-end story.... I really don't know how to express my sentiment correctly... I don't want him watered down, but borrowing from Dev above, I *do* kinda want to know what the hell happened when I'm done reading it, next time.

I think part of this thing was a statement that Giffen was trying to make about the state of DC right now...and in my thought process, I think he went too far for the corporate types (not necessarily Didio, as he seems to be able to handle the jabs at him). Thus, this issue was as far as he could go with it.

Or...it was all planned ahead of time to mindf#&$ with us.

You could introduce the Bug into mainstream DC as a real character and still have the humor and fun. I started in a merged universe fanfic that I was doing. All he needs to be is a slightly unhinged superhero obsessed guy with the right technology

That...or let Giffen do things like the Nothing Special special every few years.

If DOOM PATROL's next issue teaser is to be believed, Buggy fans do NOT want to miss next issue.

I will buy it if he's in it.
