It's about honkin' TIME, Giffen!
Yep, s'true. Ol' Buggy returns in ALL his questionable glory in LOBO UNBOUND # 4.
A brief review follows: (SPOILERS)
Pgs 1-2: boring Lobo stuff
The real action begins on page 3- the Bug pops in to customs at some foreign country. They inspect his briefcase and find it empty. "I travel light" he responds and the BWAhahas just keep on a-coming!
You'll discover the Bug's true feelings about Christina Aguliera, you'll meet tiny little critters that harvest and dine on foreskins, you'll laugh so hard you'll break all your furniture!
Oh yeah, the last 3 pages are more boring Lobo stuff, but Buggy *does* make a cameo appearance within those final 3 pages!

I'd never read Ambush Bug until some of you guys here recommended it. The comic shop has only been able to scare up a few copies for me so far - including Secret Origins - GREAT STUFF! I hate Lobo but I'll look for this.

Lashie, can you post that link I sent you? I cleaned up my computer and inadvertantly cleared my browser's history, so I have no idea where or how I found the site.
That way, people like Cramey have a checklist for Buggy's major as well as AR appearances!

All Buggy fans should POP! on over to THIS site asap! AMBUSH BUG Archive I knew I didn't have DC COMICS PRESENTS 52, but I had no idea the Bug was in DCCP 81 and Action Comics 560 and 563! I'm giddy with anticipation of purchasing these 4 back-issues....!

I have ACTION 565 and it's so side-splittingly funny I had to have stitches! So I'm sure the others are great too! ("Ms. Sappho, but you can call me Suffrin" indeed! BWAhaha!)
My plan for this week is to hit my CBS back-issue bins and pray!

Between Teeds' generosity and my own persistence, I have all of Buggy's major appearances, excluding his DC Heroes RPG module (must FIND!!!). But apparently, there are around 15 AR appearances I don't have!

I'm less concerned with the AR stuff, but I ***MUST*** have those ACTIONS and DCCPs!
That RPG module is a huge rarity, I bet! I'd like to see one too!

I hadn't planned on picking up any of the Lobo books (don't care for the character) but after this: Originally posted by MLLASH: ...you'll meet tiny little critters that harvest and dine on foreskins, you'll laugh so hard you'll break all your furniture! how can I pass it up? And Lash, I may have that RPG module in my DC books stack. If I do, its yours. The only AB appearances I've bothered to keep are his first few (starting with the Subs).

Oh, and for those concerned about buying a LOBO book, dont be.
Lobo (whom I also don't care for outside of his L.E.G.I.O.N. appearances) only appears on 6 pages of his OWN book.
I think Giffen really wanted to bring back the Bug but couldn't get DC to go for it so this is his way of slipping him back into comics!
Really, this issue is an AMBUSH BUG comic.

Hey, Giffen could be king. He's spreading his empire over to Marvel. Just got confirmation of his taking over writing Thanos.

VICTORY IS (partially) MINE!
Just hit the CBS and snagged a copy of DCCP 81 featuring Supes teamed with the Bug!
No sign of DCCP 52 or the 2 ACTION issues I lack! >choke!<
Can't wait to read this issue tonight!

Yeah! I bet Impy could exasperate the Bug as much as HE gets to Superman...

Review of LOBO UNBOUND # 5
I was pretty disappointed.
After last issue's Bug-heaviness, this issue Lobo took his comic back over and most of the issue is devoted to him having sex with lots of freakish alien women and then getting into a graphic battle with Bling-Bling.
The Bug's sole purpose in this issue was to pretty much get beaten up during the battle between Lobo & Bling-Bling while trying to warn Lobo about the danger to his foreskin.
If it hadn't been for Ambush Bug, I wouldn't have touched this comic with gloves and tongs.
(although, I am ashamed to admit, there is one hysterical line Lobo says to Bling-Bling after he disfigures her face...)

He's not really much of an AMBUSH Bug if you know he's coming back.
