[sends Future a dozen roses and a box of chocolates] Truth is, I'd much rather see a beloved character deleted from the comics-verse than have them undergo the sort of asinine, pandering revisions that have befallen Waller and Starfire. At least with a deletion, my last memory could be of them as the embodiment (no pun intended) of coolness. Crappy revisions just leave the all-too-familiar sensation of wanting to T.P. the home and egg the car of whichever twit (or committee of twits) dreamed up these "improvements" in the first place. [/b] I think that it all begins from where the majority saw "thin" Amanda Waller in Smallville TV and they "loved" her appearance so the DC people out there thought it would be "cool" to change her appearance. those TV shows (real-live and cartoon) can ruin the comics character's image...(look at Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans, Young Justice --- last Friday we saw Barbara, Dick, and Bette all three in the same school where Artemis goes)... I kind of feel that the TV and the movie should have honored those comics version, instead of changing into what they want. (look at TV show Wonder Woman...thank god it was cancelled right away when we all saw her horrible costume....)
I dont understand why the comics have to be changed following what s up on TV and movie, instead of vice versa. [/b]If they wanted to follow another universe, they should have followed the DCAU one. Amanda Waller in Justice League was both plus-sized AND kick-ass!

I bid fairwell to Andrew Bennett , for the poor imitation Andrew Stanton, is surely a sign of the falling Twilight on vampires in the DCnU.

I bid fairwell to Stephanie Brown as Batgirl. What an outstanding and underrated run she had under writer Bryan Q. Miller! I just hope we haven't seen the last of Steph altogether....
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Bid farewell to The Question, I think. Vic Sage is gone and Renée Montaya appears to be among the honored departed. But maybe one or the other will turn up.

Miss Martian exists, as seen in Teen Titans #1...alongside Static. so I bid farewell to Proxy....aka Wendy, daughter of the Calculator. loved her in Batgirl with Stephanie Brown. cool....awesome. now she's FP out of existence. speaking of Wendy, she made a cartoon appearance with Bumblebee, Marvin, Mal Duncan, Bette, Barbara, and Dick in Young Justice cartoon. Loved it!

also tonight we saw the following heroes and villains: plethora! Zatara! Blue Devil! Guy Gardner (he looks better in that costume!). Count Vertigo, Ultra Humanite, Joker, Poison Ivy, Atomic Skull, Black Adam, Plastic Man, Wotan, Dr. Fate (possessing Aqualad)...Lex Luthor, Ocean Master, the Brain, Vandal Savage, Ras Al Ghul, a few more I cannot remember.
I bid farewell to Blue Devil. seeing him (in Shadowpact costume) in the action in Young Justice - he truly kicked ass alongside Captain Atom.

Yeah, it could all be Rich and Bleeding Cool jumping the gun on greenlighting a rumor...
