- I like that August General in Iron is going to be part of JLI - seems like a good thing for an international team. Looks like Booster will be taking the lead?
- Firestorm Red and Firestorm Yellow form to make Ultimate Firestorm? It makes sense that's how they're going to give parity to Jason and Ronny. Jason reminds me too much of Reverse Flash though...
- What, no Green Lantern??
- Re: Captain Atom - so is this going to be like "Dr Manhattan: the series?" (let's hope he has clothes)
- I miss the gold from Wonder Woman's costume
- Where's the "Canterbury Cricket" book??

Only point that leaps out at me - that's Wally's (V-shaped) belt on the Flash cover , isn't it? Fakeout, and it's Barry-in-Wally's-costume, probably...

Both the JLA and Flash covers have him with Barry's blue eyes... Wally's are green. My two cents...

I think the way to do a DC reboot would be to start with a Superman title & introduce the other major DC characters in their own titles before they acquire their super powers. That way Superman would be the 1st DC Superhero again.

Do you have any evidence that they can get the eye color of Barry Allen & Wally West right?

And for my second post, I just had to repeat Raging Bulls brilliant remark for emphasis.

I just love taking things to their logical conclusion.

Interestingly, I first read "day-and-date digital" in the last 48 hours in this historic announcement and thought-- aside from publishing digitally-- it meant they'd only be using the date and NOT issue numbers, which is sort of the equal but opposite of Raging's idea. All you'll know is that it's the current issue, and if it's the first of that title you've seen, it COULD be the actual first issue!

On the bright side for me and maybe some of the other ladies here, they say that the DC females will be wearing more 'practical' outfits.

Although, giving Diana pants while putting her back in the bustier doesn't really work on the practical end of things.
Her new top with the ribbon straps is cuter and much more wearable, imo.

Even though I'm apprehensive about the relaunch, I don't really have a whole lot of right to gripe because the only regular series I'm buying are Legion and Green Lantern. DC needs a way to get people (especially new ones) interested in their comics and they've certainly got me interested.

That would really annoy the hell out of me if its true.

And it's actually quite good!

BTW, that's where Roger Robinson's most recent works has been (guy taking over some title mentioned above that Dev didn't recognize the name from).

So, according to Rich J Scott "X-Men" Lobdell\'s writing Teen Titans , DC were getting people to pitch for the books without letting them know it was a competitive situation and possibly the "old" DCU will become an Earth-2-type situation - out there, but not used much.

So three things:

1) real crummy corporate shenanigans by DC there, the kind of crap I hate in business

2) really sucks about the Gold Key characters! They were all really good, especially Magnus. And certainly they were all unique in their own way in the industry. Too bad they never gained any traction with fans.

3) one of the most important things I'm taking from all of this is that if I want real *news* I need to be checking out Bleeding Cool. I'm a Lying in the Gutters reader from years ago but never made the switch. I basically stopped checking out newsrama and CBS because I've been finding them annoying, without any real news and a bit like shills for the big 2. (like the news channels in the US actually). Rich & company have impressed me these last few days.

About the only thing that would make this reboot thing work IMHO would if they rebooted to the All Star Superman universe.

DC's kinda waffling on the "reboot" tag to this initiative. It could either mean this is another Earth or that it's kind of a One More Day/Spider-man thing where most of the history is intact, but with some big changes. It's funny, though, because the USA Today article that came out Wednesday uses the word "reboot" in the headline to their article, and I'm sure they got that wording from DC!

Actually pumped about some of what I read today.

Snyder on Batman means that I am definitely getting that book.

Jeff L (Superboy/Atom) is hinting at an Animal Man book,,,which would put this book at the top of my must buy list.

Gail writing Batgirl (with Babs) means I'll be trying it out at least. If anyone can wrote a good story with Babs as Batgirl again...it's Gail.

I'm just happy we'll be getting the JLA back.
