So, New Mutants Forever started today.

You know, I've never read a comic entirely illustrated by Al Rio.

Sam & Dani kissing is kind of like brother & sister kissing, isn't it?

I'm not that used to it yet so it doesn't do that to me.

Totally, Cobie. I don't think it would work even if that wasn't an issue, though. I almost hope they kill Sam off, now.

New Mutants Forever was pretty decent. Hela's appearance was a surprise. I wonder what she's up to.

I've read this series and love it. Feels almost like old New Mutants. I was big fan thanks to those Sinkeowiz(sp) covers.

I haven't read NM Forever yet but I will.

YES. i didn't even like the flirtation between amara and berto' and he's a flirt.

eww, besides it smacks of some teen soap opera where soon everyone's going to have had a relationship with each other since there's a finite number of cast members.

the only believable romance if this crew, to me, is warlock and doug.

without some explanation about characters now seeing people in different ways.

not too happy with what happened to Karma...another gay character getting maimed or offed....her leg was amputated.

One's maimed, another doesn't even have her powers...

Huh? Dani's not gay.

Anyway, another issue where none of the cast appears. Just what this series needs. :rolleyes:

Pretty good story though.

I always thought dani was bi. cause of the uber close friendship with rahne. and she never liked any boys except Thunderbird 2. although in the first few episodes of new mutants she wanted guys to think she's attractive ... cause she had body issues... thought she was too skinny... anyway

And no, Dani pretty much said she's not attracted to women in the New Mutant series that came out right before she lost her powers, although she wonders why people think she is. She had a boyfriend in that series, too. Donald Pierce's nephew, actually. I thought he was kind of boring, but I thought that about most of that series, anyway.

Eh, I don't recall such a statement, and I read that whole series (although they certainly did nothing to suggest that she *was* gay or bi). The closest I recall was them having Karma clarify that *Shadowcat* wasn't gay, after Claremont gave Xi'an & Kitty a "moment" in the Mekanix mini.

And that last sentence gives you a clue as to why people think she is - she's a Claremont female creation, who was written by him for the first fifty or so issues of her existence. EVERY female character gets "ambigiously lesbian" moments under Claremont's pen sooner or later.

I liked it.

OK- just what is the deal with the supposed stars of this title almost never appearing? It's gotten ridiculous.

Though the soldiers in limbo story was a good one, the crossover usurption of Cyclops, etc. makes it part of a pattern that's beyond annoying.

I am curious about the 'weapons' and what they'll be like as characters.

I wonder if any of their parents are characters we know? From X-titles or elsewhere in the MU?

The Fall of the New Mutants may be my last story. I realize I'm just buying it because I like the characters, even though I haven't enjoyed a single story thus far, or a single interaction between the characters. I'd honestly be better off filling in my collection of original New Mutants stories and rereading that run.

I'll give it to story's end for them to win me over. If one of them dies though, that's it, I'm done.

I skipped the crossover issues after I acidentally bought the first one and it was awful.

The current Limbo storyline is engaging me so far.

I'd forgotten about those Inferno babies.

I wish this was a good comic but from what y'all have been saying it sounds beyond bad.

The original crew has been put through the wringer. Have any of them had a "good" thing happen to them...at all?

Well, she's back in X-Factor, anyway.

I read 18 last night... I gotta say, this Inferno-babies/Limbo storyline is really quite scary!!

A change in writer's in store for this title-- I hope his successor isn't forced into featuring Cyclops and White Queen every other issue.

I'm worried for Magma... though if she's the one who 'falls' in Limbo, it'd be kind of too obvious at his point, wouldn't it?

Anyway, if someone dies in Limbo- it sort of gives a future back-from-the-dead scenario a grounding in possibility, doesn't it? I'm grasping, because I like all of the regular New Mutants cast, and don't want to lose any of them.

Is it my faulty perception, or is this title coming out less than monthly?
