The solisitation gave Andrew's surname as Stanton instead of Bennet and titled Mary as 'Queen of the Damned' instead of 'The Queen of Blood'. The actual comic (which I got with much trepidation) called him Andrew Stanton, but corectly titled Mary as "The Queen of Blood". It also had current typical DC vampires able to walk in sunlight (unlike all previous versions of DC typical vampires). A friend showed me a scan of a page from issue #2 (which I refused to buy after the poo fest that was the first issue) that named Andrew Bennet AND spoke of vampires burning in the sun.... What the HECK!?! Has DC already retconned the brand new series? Were there mistakes in the first printing that were corrected? Was anything said by DC about this? What is going on?

I also dropped it after #1 so I'm not sure. Sounds like editorial made some big mistakes and someone caught it after the solicitation but before it went to print?

The decision is made...
this comic is a muddled, nigh-unreadable MESS that wears a cool mask.
it reminds me of how old Vertigo books used to make me feel, like, "What am I not getting here, that I should be getting..?"
I had absolutely LITTLE TO NO idea what was going on on any given page.
I *love* the murky, moody abstract art, but when the art IS that way, the writing needs to be CLEAR AND CRISP and READABLE.
Giant FAIL. DROPPED.
