I think I am done with the GL titles. Too much to try to follow one story.
I may limit myself quite a bit overall, and stick with a handfull of titles at most from the main DCU. Too much other stuff to read/add to my list.
Hmmm. the more I think about it...DC may have just lost a major supporter in this guy. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Does anyone suppose they're so serious about this "good jumping on place" idea that they'll simplify the stories to the point of self contained stories for a year or so? Or heaven forbid, even self contained issues once in a while? If they're really hoping to get and keep new readers, I hope they don't ignore the basics of accessibility.

That's the chance they take by doing something like this. One day, I think it might be alright, the next...not so much.
It gives people that are buying out of habit time to think about what they are buying...and make changes if necessary.
If I thought that Icould actually buy Green Lantern and get to read a story without having to buy 6 - 8 months of multiple part crossovers a year, I might think about continuing with it. That just isn't the case with Johns run so far.
As for Red Lanterns...I personally do not see how they are going to carry their own book for more than a year at best. But that's just me.

Not to sound defeatist, but I'm fairly certain 50% of these 52 titles will be gone with issue 12. BUT... I also think DC is well aware of this. Seems like a case of throwing it on the wall and see what sticks, then go from there. Which is a plan.... of a sort...

I would be shocked if we don't see #3 for half.
Is everything supposed to be monthly? Because this could make a whole lot of sense if most of them are bi-monthly. It just doesn't seem sensible that if you can't manage to sell 30 monthlies to change everything and hope to sell 52.

Legion Nightwing (If it stars Dick Grayson) Firestorm Hawkman
after that, GL if it stars Hal, and then I don't honestly know. Most of the DC books I'm buying are the smaller books, not the Sup/Bat stuff.
I honestly see this as a "losing me" point over a jumping on point.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!

It looks so cool that I can't believe it will happen! No official word yet, but if it does happen I will add it to the "All-New All-Now September Pull List for DC" I am making...

We know Cooke will be doing a Vigilante story--no word when or if part of an anthology / miniseries / etc.
Can't wait for it!

So far, I'll try: Hawkman Justice League Justice League International Legion Lost
Any word on the JSA or Power Girl?
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Bleeding Cool says it is one of THREE books Scott Lobdell is writing. He's also supposedly on TEEN TITANS... looks like he's getting all the younger heroes...

I could be persuaded to check out a new GL book if it was more in the spirit of the cartoons. I do have unholy amounts of love for that version of John Stewart. DC must be expecting a big surge of interest in all things GL because of the movie. May it do them good.

May it do them good. Actually, Green Lantern has been DCs best selling franchise for a few years now (maybe rivaled by Batman), so seeing them continue to work it is no big surprise. I'm waiting to see what the rest of the day brings, but I'm shocked that it looks like they may cut Batman Inc. short. It was one of their sure-fire sellers.

Hmm...BOP looks like Black Canary, Poison Ivy, Renee Montoya (not in Question costume on the cover) and some Japanese girl (doesn't look like Katana - maybe the JSA's Judomaster in a new costume?).

Batman & Robin will feature Damien as Robin. No word on Tim Drake.
Ugh. If Damien is Robin and Tim Drake is written out, that will infuriate me. Moreso than anything else that DC could do.
