It looks like the new season is about to start up according to Comics Continuum. They had a bunch of preview pictures and one with a whole lot of DC heroes on the watchtower.

Since I know how much we all love to point out who we think the characters are, I thought I'd post the pic and let the speculation begin.

Also, you can talk about the show if you want to.



I'll take a few of the easy ones. I see Elongated man's backside, Metamorpho, and Atom Smasher from the JSA. There's also Red Tornado, Hawk and Dove, and is that the Huntress I see? The one I'm primarily interested in is the the fire headed guy in the middle. Does anybody else think that he's Firestorm?

I think it's waverider...

Certainly looks like Firestorm to me. Others that appear to be there are Dr Light, Red Tornado, Hour Man(?), Obsidian (talking to Tornado. Looks like his cape), Wildcat, Ice (or Ice Maiden), Fire and the guy on the very far right is Bwana Beast, or at least I assume it is because I know he's been mentioned in press releases and it looks like his costume (or lack of it). Oh, and Booster Gold flying overhead. Not sure about the others (I agree with Minesurfer about the ones he mentioned.)

Oooh, yeah, could be Waverider.

That's almost definitely Waverider. I also see Rocket Red (in the elevator), Katana (I think -- right in front of Rocket Red, facing left), Mr. Terrific? (with his arms crossed) and of course, that's Green Arrow's shoulder in the foreground.

Still unidentified are the cowboy, the guy on mostly red he's talking to (Brainwave??), the guy Katana's talking to, the guy Metamorpho's talking to, the guy standing to Atom Smasher's right, the guy behind Red Tornado (unless it's Hourman?) and the couple behind Fire talking to each other.

I know The Question and Vixen were mentioned as guest stars but I don't think they're there.

I was thinking the cowboy was Jonah Hex because that's the only DC cowboy I know of (I know the times may be wrong for him, but when has that stopped comic book creators?). The guy he's talking to red and yellow with back turned, may be Johnny Quick. The guy to Atom Smasher's right looks like the old Daredevil uniform, but that's just wishful thinking.

The guy behind Red Tornado has to be Hour Man (Bevis thinks so too).

I have a feeling you might be right about Johnny Quick as well. I might be making it up but I have a feeling another shot was released a while back and Johnny was in there. Jonah Hex might sense for the cowboy guy, he certainly looks to have his face covered. Whoever it is it's a *nasty* costume though.

The cowboy should be Vigilante, a former JLA "kinda" member from the late 70s early 80s. Not sure that he's been around for many years though.

Let's look at this from another angle... it seems that we have a JSA assembly going in the lower middle to the whole left side of the picture... what major JSA characters are not accounted for that may be some of the "unidentifieds"?

Could any of them be Johnny Thunder? Jay Garrick? Sand Man? Dr. Midnight? Anymore that I've missed?

How cool would it be if the two standing behind Atom Smasher, clad in similar outfits, how cool would it be if they were the Tornado Twins?

Female Dr. Light (black and white) to the left above Tornado?

Could that be Vixen in front of Rocket Red?

The guy to the left of Atom Smasher reminds me of Shade the Changing Man.

I don't see Johnny (or JJ) here, but the Tbolt was shown in another pic...

I wonder if the person next to Metamorpho might be either Orchid or Big Barda with a slight costume change?

I would also guess the guy in the green suit behind Fire is probably Johnny Thunder.

And is that Spectre instead of Hourman behind Red Tornado?

Shade the Changing Man between Dr. Light and Atom Smasher?

Trying to put the stuff onto a pic (I really don't think ?2 is Mr Terrific tho. Notice that ?4 is split-color B&W, as well)

* I'm quite sure that ?3 is Gypsy.
* Part of me thinks that 'Katana' might actually be Vixen.
* Johnny Quick looks more like the Prince Gavyn Starman to me but that would be a totally 'out-there' inclusion so I'm probably wrong.
* I also think ?2 is Mr Terrific.

I also think that #3 is Gypsy -- she seems to have a white shirt and a headband.

I'm going to guess that #1 is Geo.

# 7 is the Shining Knight, and I also think that "Katana" is Vixen. There's a closeup of Vixen I've seen somewhere, and it looks like the animated version is sort of petite with black hair.

Your Hourman does look more like the Spectre to me though.


Is #7 Shade the changing man, perhaps. He's the only character I can think of, off hte top of my mead, who wore red shorts & short-sleeves.

This pic is really unlcear to me though.... I can't find the cowboy everyone is talking about.

They should have put Waldo in this picture.

The cowboy is standing facing front... it looks like he's talking with Johnny Quick (according to most people here:) ). He is directly to Atom Smasher's left which is the viewer's right. SoM has him labelled as "Vigilante".

OO, I think you're right about Shade the Changing Man. I can't think of who else that could be short of Magnus Robot Fighter (kidding).

Cool stuff! I hope I catch a few of these episodes, it looks like their going to be fun.

After seeing some more stills from the ep, I think you might be right.

They've certainly chosen an interesting and eclectic group for this season. I'm glad they're not just going for the most recognizable and expected heroes. I'm most excited to see The Question.
