Skeets being evil seems to have happened since Magnus repaired him. Prior to that, he was merely having trouble reconciling historical events.
We have only Skeets's own word that his bad advice to Booster was a mistake. For all we know, he's been evil all along and was feeding bad advice to Booster on purpose to get him out of the way and further his evil agenda.

I think something happened to Skeets in that moment when he started acting wonky - before Booster went to Magnus. I think he's been possessed or something by some big DCU baddie

Is anyone else wondering when we're going to get back to Devem and the Resurrection cult? Maybe Ralph isn't part of their story anymore, but it's too big a thing to just leave hanging (unless they plan to wait to resolve it in some other title?)

Well, after a string a great weeks, this one was at least a notch down.

I agree, this issue didn't feel like it was going anywhere.

The only thing I found interesting was that Ugly Mannheim referred to Vic/Charlie and Renee as "the Questions."

I thought the symbol that the Space Trio discovered on the Emerald Head of Ekron was interesting....

It wasn't a bad issue. I had trouble understanding what was going on in space though. Obviously ties in to what is happening in Omega Men this week and Mystery in SPace though I'm a little to slow to play with the jigsaw puzzle as

My brain seems not to functioning well this week.

Yeah, the space scenes were kind of hard to follow, and I guess I expected a bigger payoff regarding the "daughter of Cain" stuff. So basically all we learn is that the Crime Bible makes faulty predictions? Is that supposed to be further evidence that there's something wrong with Time? Or just that the Crime Bible is unreliable?

Haven't read the latest issue yet (as usual), but the cover for issue 30 looks AWESOME!

Notice the masonic symbolism in the background (which could be a reference to the Emerald Eye).

I also just noticed something for the first time: the '52' title of the comic makes a cross at the top of the cover of each comic. Knowing J.H. and art in general, this was most likely done on purpose. I wonder if it is there as a counter to 'time' or 'reality' (given the nature of a 'post-IC universe' being different). It also references Ralph's search of faith, mysticism, God, etc. Crosses pop up in art/movies all the time of course, just check out M. Knight Shyalaman's 'Signs' for the most crosses hidden in a movie that I've ever seen...

Well, Skeets does kind of look like a little space ship, doesn't he? Now, do we know and heroes conspicuouly absent from the DCU. Maybe little tiny heroes whose wharabouts have not been pinpointed. Possibly a hero small enough to ride around in a little space ship who, due to recent events, has motive for playing with time?

Hint: There is no "Skeets." It's the Atom.

I am totally confused about the Emerald Eye revelations.

If I am reading this right, Ekron is a giant bio ship piloted by a Green Lantern?

I think it's more likely that it is Alan Scott's eye, hence the GL connection.

In reading through the comments at the Newsarama link Cobie provided, I find it curious that they all claim to see Darkseid in the upper reaches of the mountains but no one has mentioned that Batman's cowl is depicted in the sandstone just below that (right where the fringe of the cape curls up)...even the pointy ears are there.

Still behind as usual, but www.newsarama.com has the latest cover to 52 up. Looks kewl too! Captain Comet's death will most likely occur, we'll see some space-hero action and other stuff.

That Batman panel is definately from New Frontier--hellakewl!

Comet gets the cover?

Mystery in Space aside, I'm genuinely surprised.

I'm reluctantly warming to the new INFINITY, INC. At least to the extent that I'd like to see one or two of them have careers past the inevitable takedown. After all, *some* of what they're saying is true, at least from their points of view.

The general public *would* think that heroic identities were fluid. Obsidian's reaction would seem like that of a villain.

When some other group has a generic knock-off treatment or something, then we'll see how they like it.

Poor Todd- seeing that new Jade was upsetting to me as reader. Well, upsetting's too strong a word. Disappointing is more like it.

I'd think the JSA or somebody would try to place someone they trust in INFINITY, INC. Maybe they will.

Some of the Everyman costumes were kinda cool. I wonder where all this is going since we know the powers don't last.

"The Questions...?" I'm not feeling good about Vic being saved or healed or revealed to be a liar (unless it turns out he's going to be a male version of Oracle with a roster of faceless agents).

I dunno...with Whisper A'Daire and Abbott involved in the case, maybe there's a Lazarus Pit out there somewhere for him.

Actually, I'm not only expecting it, I'm anticipating with glee the eventually destruction the new Infinity Inc. I think the Joker should help Luthor--he hasn't killed any heroes in awhile! tongue

The latest issues have been good, although some stories move along better than others. This is still the hottest thing going on right now.

*Really* want to see whats in store for Other-Booster and Rip Hunter.

T.O. Morrow remains a show-stealing favorite. That smile said it all! And I just can't help but feel that he'll eventually double-cross ALL the villains too, just for the hell of it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Morrison have him say something like "because I'm smarter than all of you," or something so cliche, only to have him die an actual noble (or very ignoble) death or something.

Not bad issue today, but not great. It was good to see what the Bat-team has been up to, but the only existing storyline that's been touched on at all was the Question's/Renee's/Batwoman's. It's been 10 issues since the disappearance of Daniel Carter, eight since we last saw either Cassie or Supernova (but it seems he, at least will be back next week), four since Black Adam, three since we've seen Ralph Dibny or Skeets, and there's been ZERO follow-up (other than the unexplained appearance of an intact Firestorm in issue # 24) on the conditions of the returned space heroes since way back in # 5. The juggling/rotating of storylines was much more evenly handled in the first four months of this title.

k, let the speculation begin (again laugh )

Now who do you think is behind the Supernova mask?

My original thought for Supernova was Lightray, using a Mother Box (a silent Boom Tube was recently seen in "JLA" I think, so it's possible). It makes empirical sense (the light powers, the teleportation), but after that exchange with Ralph it makes me think it's someone with more League History, be it hero or villain. I wonder what Ralph's "two keys" comment refers to...

First off, this was the best issue for me in a while and it spiked my interest again. The shift away from the main stories really caused my interest to lag. Hence, my slacking off here. smile

Drake, I'm going back to the "Booster as Supernova" theory. He knows Ralph well enough to be on a first name basis with him and does not know who Cassie is outside of her code name. He also is afraid of who might be listening. (i.e., Skeets)

This issue also blew my 'Space Heroes in the Future' theory and the 'Ralph is Delusional theory'.

I have a bad feeling about Nat, tho. I also think that Ralph is not drinking alchohol.
