Brian Bolland's cover for the JO trade made me do a double-take-- he channelled Swan perfectly!

I think it's obvious that Supergirl returned to the past and Chameleon is keeping up the ruse that she's still around.

Well, I think it's funny that Vi appears to be riding on Ayla's chest. Maybe for old time sake?

So, Mark doesn't write the conclusion? That's odd.

That Supergirl #18 cover art looks a lot like one of Spellbinder's self-portraits to me.
The Legion cover doesn't necessarily include all the legionnaires, does it? Still, you wonder if the missing are (1) dead or (2) the SP mole.
That's the first time I recall the word "irrevocably" being used in a solicit. I'm all in favour of expanding solicit vocabulary.

Nightcrawler: So, Mark doesn't write the conclusion? That's odd. Darned tootin'. I thought the party line was "he had a plan for this book, he did his plan, now he's leaving as planned." And leaving someone else to finish the plots he built up over two years? Wasn't he meant to tell the origin of this version of the Legion? It doesn't sit nicely with me. I hope this Bedard fellow knows what he's doing.

It's probably not the conclusion; more like the aftermath. Like #14 was for the Lemnos arc. But I have to say it's a remarkably uninformative solicit.

Sharpe's art definitely has promise. I might prefer DeKraker or the French-sounding fellow who did the issue after Sharpe, but those are small quibbles. In re-reading the WaK run, I'm struck by how seamless the fill-in art really was. Everyone worked really hard to keep Barry's look and feel of the book during the fill-ins.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Three pretty decent issues. A great flashback, the infamous profem issue, and Bouncing Boy and Gear setting-up Konel for a fall.
