Guess it'll be Hank or Emma then for the chop. Oh well, they were kind of my favourites (best out of a bad bunch) Maybe in a moment of inspired madness Morrison will kill his story writing career!!

You know, I really can't see Hank or Emma getting killed. I still think it's gonna be Jean or Charlie and that Morrison was misleading in his interview. I do feel that by the end of his run, the only remaining X-Men will be Hank and Logan with Scott (although they'll have to convice him to stay). Oh, and I'm pretty certain that Beak won't make it though

You know, I wasn't going to talk about this because I feel ilke the X-Men I used to love have just been trampled on unmercifully. Thank God for X-Men: Evolution.
IF Morrison IS setting us up (after the Magneto arc) for his take on Dark Phoenix (which I think is a given, since he has placed to much emphasis on the Phoenix force being a force of truth and judgement through the Shi'ar and other arcs,) I think all bets are off, though Beast dying at this point wouldn't have the emotional currency for the arc any of the other 5 dying would have. And since Emma's already "died" once already in Morrison's X-Men, she's probably safe.
Wouldn't it be a kick in the pants if he killed off Logan?

No,no, no! The school must remain. Without it, there'd be no New Mutant series. And in case it's escpaed anyone's notice, I'm rather enjoying that comic.

Not that Synch was a favorite of mine, but I don't really care for off-panel deaths... it's kind of disrespectful, IMO. (And I've felt that way ever since the off-panel demise of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern in Hamlet...!)

The same stories retold, everyone has died at least once only to be miraculously found alive. The X books are more cliche ridden than most other titles. I'll stick with the Exiles and Ultimate X-Men. At least they have a fresher perspective.

i'm kind of thinking that it's gonna be Lorna Dane who gets killed. She's probably going to be the one to bring down Magneto, but die in the process, and then there'll be a couple of panels of Wanda & Pietro lamenting the death of the half sister they never knew and rejoicing that dear old dad is dead. blah!

I always thought Lorna was so cute when Byrne drew her. I like girls with weird hair coloring I guess Let's go over all the X-Men to ever die and come back: Prof X Phoenix Cyclops Angel Wolverine Collosus Storm Havok Madrox Dazzler Rouge Psylocke ...I know there are more, but I think I'll stop there. All you have to do really is just think about all the X-Men you can remember, and five out of six have died at one point or another.

Lorna's Magneto's offspring? When did this happen? And who's the mother? Isabelle? Gaby Haller? This doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

In New X-Men #132, when she returned to Genosha after Mag's 'death' the magnetic field wake left from his demise caused Lorna to go crazy and start calling out for her 'father, Magneto'. I don't know if this was ever really proven to be fact or just her ravings. As to her parentage she is still an orphan with no known relatives. And in case you are wondering where I get X-Men info when I haven't read the title in years, I rely on the best X site around, Uncannyxmen.net .

Apparently, it was proven in a recent issue of Uncanny although I haven't read it myself.
I have always wanted Lorna in the Avengers...

in one of the more recent issues, lorna stated that she had magneto's dna analyzed which proved he's genetically her father. it makes sense, prof. x asks "xorn" for to help her, and he says "no", then he's later revealed to be magneto. that man can hold a grudge. as for who her mother is, nobody knows yet. probably won't matter too much, she's probably gonna die anyway.

Thought I'd post my thoughts on the current X-story.
I think Angel will die in 150.
Who do you reckon will get the chop?
Does anyone know for sure?

Angel won't die - he's Chuck Austen's to rack and ruin.
Jean seems "favourite," followed by Prof X

I thought GM had promised it wouldn't be Jean, Charlie or Scott?
And did you like Logan snikting Jean in the asteroid - very poignant as he couldn't do it in the original dark Phoenix story.
